  1. That’s fucking amazing! Nice work, @Dylan Waco !
  2. Fuck Bruce/Snowden. I don’t give a fuck if you “can” print it. Doesn’t mean you should. On a positive note, the way AEW is doing their tribute is very very cool. Letting Brodie’s son “book” his own dream tag is so awesome. That show is going to be hard to watch, but I can’t wait to see it. I’m about the same age as Brodie and my kids are about the same age as his. I’m not going to pretend I’m some huge fan of his, but I liked him a lot. His death has hit me pretty hard. I’m just so sad for his family.
  3. I haven’t watched NXT in months, but I flipped over to it this week. I came in for the Rhea pull-apart “brawl”. Jesus. Those were some shitty strikes. Also the worst “hold me back” acting I’ve seen. For all of the shit AEW got last year for that Dark Order beat down (rightfully so), this may have been worse.
  4. Jericho is definitely doing the “real self turned up to 11” very well. To be fair to the NBA fans, if you hadn’t seen Jericho in years, his new look would be pretty shocking.
  5. I think Braun Strowman is a guy that should've said "no" to quite a few things. Dude was hot as hell a couple years ago. Now? He should've vetoed the stupid kid tag partner thing for one. He made a post on Instagram once sort of comparing himself to Andre. I thought, nah. Andre never would've gone along with the bullshit you've been booked in. There's a middle ground between doing whatever bullshit they write for you and being Hogan in WCW. More guys/gals need to find that middle ground.
  6. What is the deal with "North Carolina" and Omega? Also, I fucking hate Justin Roberts. If I could change one thing about AEW, it'd be him.
  7. It’s weird that they already have a stacked tag division, but they keep adding teams who, like others have said, are not really ready for prime time. it kind of seems like the Bucks are trying to do what Cody did when he was first TNT champ and give some up and coming guys a rub. But that made more sense as an open challenge. The tag guys just seem like they’re not quite ready.
  8. My 3-year-old son says, “Oh, that mask guy is definitely going to be champion.”
  9. I love that AEW realizes that they should have Kingston talk every week. They make sure he has a promo or is on commentary or something where he’s got a mic in front of him.
  10. Sorry, I have to point out that Papa John’s just had one of, if not the, best years financially in the history of the company. (I understand that it’s just a metaphor, but I may or may not be very close to someone who works in corporate for them.)
  11. I was just reading @EricR’s workfare report over at Seguna Caida and was reminded of something I was thinking about last night: what the fuck was up with Butcher and Blade? They both looked like they were working their first match out there. They both (Butcher especially) seemed to be totally lost for pretty much the whole match. Kingston seemed to be trying to direct traffic, but they would just freeze. It was weird. Also, I’m going to run this into the ground, but for fuck’s sake, stop making wrestlers (especially your champions!!!!) act afraid of other wrestlers in horror cosplay! It’s dumb.
  12. The announcers are way overselling how dastardly what Callas and Omega did was. They just cheated in a wrestling match. That happens multiple times every week.
  13. Agreed. She can at least wrestle like her character should.
  14. Is it just my tv, or is the crowd noise really loud?
  15. On the other hand, it’s cool that AEW is working with these other promotions. They’ve worked with NWA and now Impact and have had a number of indie guys/girls appear.
  16. I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. I always remember something I read years back about one of the bigger Japanese promotions not being interested in some wrestler because he “had the stink of death match wrestling” on him or something to that effect. While it will definitely get wrestling fans talking, I’m not sure if AEW wants the “stink” of Impact on them.
  17. I agree. At first I was glad when she said she’s just doing zombie cosplay. One of my least favorite things in wrestling right now is all the “scary” characters and their opponents having to act all freaked out by them. I’m a grown man. Some dude in a mask isn’t scary to me. If I’m a trained fighter, there’s no way in hell it’s be scary to me. But then they had her actually be scared because something fell? Dumb.
  18. What’s the deal with North Carolina and Omega?
  19. @MoS have you seen Luger lately?
  20. Here’s a little thing that sets AEW apart from WWE. When Sting went up to Darby, Allin didn’t cower or back down. He straightened up and stared him in the face. That’s a very small thing, but it puts their guy on the level of the returning legend instead of below him. (For the record, I’m not saying Allin is on the same level as Sting career-wise.)
  21. Exactly. It wasn’t some hyped main event. The “first time ever” was just something to make it stand out a bit. I agree that the match wasn’t that good, but it’s not like it was what they’re selling the show on.
  22. I think the combined age of that final four is less than Undertaker by himself.
  23. Man, Adam Page should not be getting eliminated by Matt Hardy.
  24. Never underestimate what a white, Christian man will do to make himself look persecuted. Also, Riddle's wife commented on the post and offered him support.
