  1. I thought the singing along to Judas thing was kinda cool when it was an organic thing that the crowd started doing. I HATE the wrestlers at ringside doing it.
  2. Bam Bam is a dude who I think is awesome, but I wish he was better. He seemed to have so much potential and just never quite got all the wag there. But, man, there is a very short list of wrestlers who had a better, pure-pro wrestling look than him. Oh and he’s totally up there with best wrestling names ever.
  3. I do have positive memories of Goldberg and I agree that he’s remembered fo sly for tearing through guys. But, when I think of the streak itself, I don’t think of it positively because of the end. Don’t think endings matter? Ask a Game of Thrones fan. Lol.
  4. True, but when you look back on a streak, people tend to (right or wrong) judge it by the ending. People think of Goldberg's streak and they think cattle prod.
  5. It's funny. I saw this topic and thought, "Yeah, they're good. When they're booked well!" Then I tried to think of a winning streak that was well-booked and I couldn't. I can't think of a single win streak that ended well.
  6. I think the people that make something will always view it differently than the people who consume it. I used to be a news photographer. I can watch the news with you and I'll like a story that you may not find all that special because I will get what went into it in a different way than you do. It makes sense that wrestlers would gravitate towards the people who are easiest/most fun to work with. That said, we're talking all-time here, Arn. Kane is the best you can do? Oh, and the answer is Andre. Andre is the best big man of all time. Every big man wishes he could be Andre.
  7. C'mon. Don't talk about Joe and Kobashi like that.
  8. Loving these recaps! As far as future ones, I'd vote: Vader - Plane ride from Hell - Wargame - I Quit Match Those all sound fun.
  9. The first Hell in a Cell would have to be mine. I was sixth row for it. Most fun I’ve had was Mitch Ryder vs Todd Morton at the second XCW Midwest show. I was shooting the show for a news story, and they basically worked the match for my camera. It was a blast.
  10. That was really awesome. Omega’s not my thing, but I loved that match.
  11. SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT THE DEAL WITH “NORTH CAROLINA” IS!!!! Please!!
  12. I’m glad Shida went over decisively. That makes up for the shit where she had to look scared of Abadon.
  13. It wasn’t a frog splash. it was a Dogg splash.
  14. Snoop’s splash was...something. He made a good second for Cody. I think Snoop did some football coaching. Like his son’s team or something. He at least had the coach stance down at ringside.
  15. Whoever is on the mute button tonight needs to work on their reflexes.
  16. Will NXT be able to have a show tonight or are there too many from their roster in DC today?
  17. Why is that with WWE? Also, by “very heavy”, do you mean literally? Has he gotten big?
  18. I didn't (still don't really) follow New Japan all that close a couple years ago. When I started hearing about them pushing Jay White and him winning the title, I had him mixed up with Chase Owens. I thought they'd lost their damn minds.
  19. Go read @EricR’s write-up on the show on Segunda Caida. Great stuff. http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2020/12/aew-dynamite-brodie-lee-tribute.html
  20. They’ve really done a nice job of somehow making this a fun show to watch while still paying tribute to Brodie.
  21. Totally unsurprising, but Kingston’s comments were great.
  22. From all accounts, the boy lives and breathes wrestling. It’s probably great for him tonight to have his mind on something fun for just a little while.
  23. Fuck, man. Bryce got me.
  24. Shit! That match was bonkers. Loved it.
