So DiBiase isn't really hateable enough to be a good manager.

 

Steve Austin does a completely different style of promo than we have come to expect of him, and says "man" a whole, whole lot!

How generic is Austin's gimmick here? And the crowd goes...to sleep.

 

The best thing to come out of this clip is the interview with Heb, who said he kept asking Bret to say his name. I was picturing him going, "Say my name, bitch!"

Austin's charisma still comes through. Once he sheds the gimmick during the latter half of the year he shines. Still there is enough here to see Austin has the potential to be a step above the rest.

The Corporation has to be on the the ropes at this point. DiBiase crowns The Ringmaster as the new Million Dollar Champion. Austin rips off Brother Love’s put your hand up to the screen and touch his hand. On the Brother Love show too!

I was amused by Vince's "We all know who this is" talk and yet not calling him Steve Austin.

Brother Love being back does not make me happy. Austin has a weird cadence to this interview and rambles on. It is amazing that it was only three years from this guy and the one I saw on the 1/4/99 Raw.

Brother Ringmaster is introduced as the new Million Dollar Champion, and he leads us through a mini-revival through your television screen. Huge letdown for Austin's debut, man.

A flat, rambling debut in the grand scheme of things. Brother Love is an incredibly dated gimmick to be bringing out of mothballs but that’s where they were at this point, I guess. I will always love the Million Dollar belt however
