Loss Posted December 22, 2010 Author Report Posted December 22, 2010 Last few minutes only. Earl Hebner was bumped and Savio Vega hit Goldust with the IC title and pinned him. But Tim White was helping Hebner up and DQ'd Savio Vega, so the IC title ended up being vacated. Quote
El-P Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 What was the point of this anyway ? A waste of everyone involved. Quote
Zenjo Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Things like this were why the IC title was so worthless by this stage. Quote
PeteF3 Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 Not only is this a severely familiar rerun of an angle they did with Jeff Jarrett and Bob Holly the year before, I don't get why you do this kind of turnaround 2 weeks before a PPV with a fairly major IC title defense. They couldn't at least find a way to get the Warrior involved here? Vega looked really good here, at least. Quote
soup23 Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Agree that this seems odd and a depush of sorts for Goldust for no reason at all. Vega is a solid to good worker but I don't think he had the capacity to carry the IC belt at this stage. Quote
tim Posted October 20, 2017 Report Posted October 20, 2017 The focus should be on Warrior/Goldust. This is just one of those awkward booking intrusions to something else that doesn't serve any purpose. Quote
dawho5 Posted December 3, 2024 Report Posted December 3, 2024 For this whole match I was thinking Stone Cold (who is feuding with Savio) was going to be involved in Goldust retaining the belt. It even fits with the way they ahd bookied that feud leading in. Instead we get...this. This is more the kind of stupid booking that WCW has been historically accused (and guilty) of. Neither of these guys has had anything to do with each other and also has something going on separately. Why? Quote
