Loss Posted August 1, 2011 Author Report Posted August 1, 2011 High-energy promo in a tux hyping the match with Vader at the Great American Bash. Quote
shoe Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 He looks the part, and fires up a fun promo. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Sting's face paint matches his tuxedo. He is ready for Vader. Quote
WingedEagle Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 Promo setting up title match at Bash, though I wish we had the angle they reference. Nice to see the Champ presented as such. Quote
PeteF3 Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 Sting is looking very dapper in tuxedo-themed facepaint. Odd to be hyping a GAB main event before Beach Blast has even happened yet. Quote
MikeCampbell Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 This was taped before Beach Blast, but it aired afterwards. Stings cuts a fired up promo to hype the Vader match, and says that when he's all fired up and has the Stingers cheering him, he doesn't feel like an underdog. Quote
garretta Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 The Stinger was great here; I loved how he painted himself as Goliath going into the Vader match instead of David almost solely based on the fans and their reaction to him. Sting seems to be a favorite of Jesse's to the extent that there is such a thing; I would have thought he'd dismiss Sting as a pretty boy and a facepainted freak, especially compared to real men like Rude and Vader. They're promoting Vader exactly how I feared they would. "Feels no pain"? After the Steiners and Sting himself threw him around like he weighed two hundred pounds during his last swing through WCW? Sorry, but I don't buy it, and Sting isn't going to look like much of a champion if he can't manhandle Vader at will during their upcoming feud (though I suppose they'll use the rib injury as an excuse for why Vader will look like an unstoppable monster). This already knocks down the feud a few pegs in my eyes before they even step in the ring for the first time, and I'm wishing that they'd decided to resurrect the Sting/Rude feud instead. Quote
dawho5 Posted April 29, 2020 Report Posted April 29, 2020 This was a great promo from Sting. More and more I am seeing that he could have been "The Man" for WCW the way Hogan was for WWF if he had been booked better. Quote
