Loss Posted January 4, 2012 Author Report Posted January 4, 2012 Awesome tag! One of Eaton's last good matches. Great to see him to do a lot of his big top rope spots. Also, Benoit and Malenko always work well with Regal. Benoit and Regal tear into each other and they are the standouts here. I feel like I should say more, as the match deserves it, but I'm not quite sure what to add. Quote
goodhelmet Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 I wish Eric and Phil were still interested in doing the B sides project because we discovered the awesome Eaton-Malenko match from 1997 in those and it wouldn't surprise me if Eaton had more B-side gems hidden somewhere. Quote
Tim Evans Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 This is the first match where Regal and Benoit are on opposite sides right? This ruled and I never even know it existed. Regal looks so motivated that he's in there with guys that can go on the mat with him. Quote
El-P Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Excellent match and probably the Blue Bloods' best, although Regal works the bulk of it and Eaton doesn't get to do that much. Regal vs Benoit is always extremely good, and Malenko is better in a tag setting to me. Quote
PeteF3 Posted November 21, 2014 Report Posted November 21, 2014 I wish Benoit and Malenko had hit that power bomb/double-team thing they tried, but that little awkwardness aside this is a hell of a match. Malenko and Regal tearing it up together was awesome, and Benoit and Eaton provided a nice blend of scientific wrestling and big-move ass-kickery. Eaton's lost a step but still brings some awesomeness, like that backbreaker move that Parv loves so dearly and a sweet kneedrop off the top. Nicely done finish, too. I could probably watch these teams wrestle 50 times. Quote
