Loss Posted May 20, 2012 Author Report Posted May 20, 2012 Bockwinkel explains why he made the decision that he made at Spring Stampede. Flair is upset at the idea that he didn't successfully defend his title at Spring Stampede, and gives the belt back if anyone has a problem with it. He and Steamboat get in a pretty heated argument and Bockwinkel promises a decision surrounding the title by the end of the show. Good segment. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 I guess I missed that the Stampede finish was so controversial. It does get us a pretty good segment between Flair an Steamboat with talk about another match. So that's good to me. Flair handing over the title was a bit surprising. He seems to have abandoned his heelish ways for now. Quote
Exposer Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 This was good. The controversy continues over the finish to Spring Stampede. Quote
soup23 Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Good heated promo and the feud between them remains good when the focus is on each other. Quote
El-P Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 The segment is good, and I like that they kept on going with the feud, but the title being held up is pretty lame. A way to boost Flair's record I guess. Quote
Loss Posted November 24, 2012 Author Report Posted November 24, 2012 Well, WCW didn't even count this in the total number of title reigns, which makes it even more pointless. Quote
PeteF3 Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Bockwinkel explains in greater detail his decision at Spring Stampede--the benefit of the doubt always goes to the champion. Bockwinkel announces that the title is held up and promises further news "later," but Flair is out and demands answers NOW. Hey, a fighting heel champion. Steamboat rebuts, and he's come off pretty whiny ever since that decision was announced. Quote
