I could not believe how many figures and masks they have. This was a real cool snapshot into the culture at the time.

I have 4 figures and the ring they were showing. I picked them up when I back packed across Mexico when I graduated High School in 91. I went to a few Lucha shows when I was down there. The figures are hand painted.

That’s a lot of wrestling figures. Doesn’t feel safe to have them lying on the ground though.

Somebody is selling a lot of gimmicks at ringside. I bet some folks would kill to have that stuff now.

Nice short video about parts of the lucha experience in Mexico. I like that they used native music instead of rock like most other videos at that time did; it made the whole thing seem more authentic.
