Loss Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Posted December 9, 2012 Last few minutes. This is worth checking out in full, but it was a borderline pick and we needed space, so we opted to just show the finish. Cool to see Orndorff back. Of all the guys Ole brought back for returns, I think Orndorff was the only one who came to work. This makes his run being so short a little baffling.
Phil Austin Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 This is a great example of big picture booking. You initially think "man, they are beating the Horsemen", but then you realise it all helps add to the idea that Flair could lose to JYD. (an unlikely event)
soup23 Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 I did like the overall theme that the Horseman were getting beat left and right given credence to JYD's chances. From the clips this looked good and I am anticipating watching it in full for the podcast down the road. Orndorff in WCW always felt right to me.
Kevin Ridge Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 Last moments of match as Arn rolls up Orndorff but it gets reversed for the Mr. Wonderful victory. Tough go for the Horsemen at the Clash.
Cox Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 This looks solid. At some point maybe I'll check it out in full.
garretta Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Big win for Paul, but I don't remember much followup on it. He would have been an excellent TV champion at this point.
drew wardlaw Posted May 7, 2016 Report Posted May 7, 2016 I like this match in full, it's a bit of a hidden gem I guess. Like the show narrative that goes along with it too, of WCW and the Dudes with Attitudes maybe having a leg up on the Horsemen.
GSR Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 Seeing Orndorff as a face is a tricky one to get your head around as I automatically associate him with being a heel. Even when watching this I was thinking Arn face, and Orndorff heel. Only the last minute is shown and chalk up another loss for the Horsemen as Orndorff reverses a small package to get the win.
dawho5 Posted March 8, 2017 Report Posted March 8, 2017 What we got was good and I agree it sets the Flair match up well. Orndorff does seem like a way better fit than JYD.
