Loss
Weird that Brother Love didn't get to introduce Perfect, and that it was Perfect's music playing instead of his own. Perfect is still hyping his feud with Beefcake at this point, which would be cut short in just a few days when Beefcake had his parasailing accident. PeteF3
The ill-fated Beefcake Intercontinental title run is in full force. Heenan gushes over Perfect's looks to a degree not seen in...well, months, when the Genius was doing it. We're talking unveiling-of-the-Narcissist levels of homoeroticism here. Perfect does a really good job of moving the focus from haircutting to what the title belt means. A very NWA-esque promo that makes the championship look important. soup23
Good promo but I don't know what program I would be more sick of at this point: Beefcake/Perfect or Dusty/Savage.
shoe
Hennig just has this aura about him that says he's important.
Kevin Ridge
The perfect Intercontinental Champion and the perfect Manager together. Heenan really likes Mr. Perfect they way he describes him. He’s much better than Beefcake. Yeah.
garretta
Great promo here from Curt, almost too good and wrestling-related for the WWF. You know damn well that if this program had been able to continue, Beefcake's promos would have been all about cutting Perfect's hair and not about the belt, so Curt does a great job of getting out in front and establishing credibility for the title, lest it be forgotten about in the weeks ahead. He lets Bobby gush over his hair and body, which The Brain is only too happy to do. I wonder if either Curt or Heenan would have allowed Beefcake to cut their hair had the feud continued. Cutting Curt's hair would have damaged the perfection gimmick, but I don't see Bobby taking a haircut either, particularly off the sleeper (which could have hurt his already injured neck, even if by accident). The only other manager who we know was willing to have their hair cut was Jimmy Hart, but Beefcake had already done that at Mania IV. Besides, I don't think he'd have meshed with Curt at all. GSR
Brother Love says that there have been many Intercontinental champions, but never a ‘perfect’ Intercontinental champion, and his guests this week are Mr Perfect and Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. Perfect says that Love is correct in calling him the ‘perfect’ Intercontinental champion, but let’s not overlook the ‘perfect’ manager, Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. Heenan says that if you had a child and it grew up, would you want it to look like Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake with ripped tights, a mediocre physique and ratty looking hair, or like Mr Perfect? 6’3”, 235lbs of rock hard agility and muscle, with beautiful white teeth, beautiful blue eyes and beautiful blonde flowing locks! Perfect says that what Beefcake and all these people would like more than anything else is to see his beautiful blonde locks fall to the ground at the hands of the Barber’s scissors. He then says that Beefcake is just like everyone else though, and that it is the Intercontinental title around his waist that separates him from everybody else in the WWF, including Brutus Beefcake. He’s not only the greatest wrestler of all time, but the greatest wrestler of modern times. Brutus Beefcake is never going to cut his hair, and never going to win the Intercontinental title! Amazing that six months after the Royal Rumble that this feud is still going and doesn’t appear to be showing any sign of slowing down. Good promo from Curt here. dawho5
That Heenan promo was a tad too homoerotic. Perfect could cut a damn good promo in his way. He didn't have much flash, but he got across the right idea for the character.
