Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Excellent, fast-paced match that reflects better on Rip Rogers than Terry Taylor. I don't know, I have really written off the anti-Taylor stuff that has cropped up the last few years, but I really see it in this match and the Arn matches. But that's secondary to Rip -- he must be butter because he's on a roll! I'm looking forward to more of his matches.
Tim Cooke
Is this the Resident Evil #1 WCW Match of the 90's?
Loss
Possibly? I'm not sure.

PeteF3
Yes it is. Good match, but that's sheer lunacy. Â There was actually more hate and fire to this than in the previous Arn/Taylor match, despite that match's hot start. Some good nutty bumps from Rogers as well as some quality stooging. Taylor had some crisp offense to offer but was more or less along for the ride.
soup23
I kind of love that this is his #1 match. Rogers is bolting up my rankings. He is good at everything he does from feeding into Taylor's spots to given these short vicious headbutts. I liked this better than any match in the Arn/Taylor series. Kevin Ridge
Ross has trouble with Rip Rogers name. Rogers does an airplane spin and gets a bit dizzy. Good time to climb to the top rope. I’m waiting for him to crotch himself but he ends up just missing a elbowdrop. The fivearm. You’re so clever Terry. ajtroma
How the hell is this match that guy's #1 WCW Match of the 1990s? I know this is all suggestive and tastes differ and all but really?
garretta
This is a bit more of a struggle than it should be for Taylor, considering that he has his fourth shot at Arn coming up the next night on Main Event. Rogers beings his A game and has Taylor on the run with the airplane spin, but nothing else goes his way for the rest of the bout, and the fivearm eventually puts him away. Â I disagree completely with Loss here; I think Taylor's getting himself back together after spending so much time in Vince's doghouse (or chicken coop, as it were). He was never quite the guy most people thought he would be, but he was never horrible when he was allowed to be a human being in the ring. Rogers has some nice moves and bumps, but he's by no means the star of the match. Â How did this match make the set and the Main Event Arn/Taylor match didn't? It's understandable, I suppose, that you guys didn't want four matches between the same people almost back-to-back, but there have been plenty of Will's sets where the same guys face off more than four times. There's no record of the result according to Graham Cawthon's site, although we can assume that Arn retains somehow, since he's still the champion until late December. PeteF3
I think there's a distinct possibility that that Main Event Arn/Taylor match was a repeat of one of the syndie bouts.
garretta
Yeah, that would be typical of Main Event. I know they repeated at least one Luger/Arn match on the Horseman set, just putting new commentary over existing footage. It was so obvious it was laughable. drew wardlaw
Rip Rogers is probably my all star for the last couple months of 1990. All of his matches are hard hitting and fast paced, and man, he could have been a great guy to put in a legitimate position heading into 1991. Really curious what happened to him and why he was relegated to tv.
