Loss
Haha, a "Man In The Box" knockoff for Dreamer's entrance. This match is really just a backdrop for Lawler and Paul E. to get into QUITE the heated debate at ringside. They should argue in every segment on every wrestling show. soup23
D Von looked to be auditioning hard as he was throwing himself into every bump. Lawler vs. Paul gets escalated on commentary and we end the segment with a chaotic scene of them going after each other and Lawler standing on the announce table. Kevin Ridge
Nice touch for them using the ECW graphics for their guys. When they went to the split camera it was so hard to keep my eyes off Lawler/Heymen with them going at it like that. Undertaker does an ill timed promo during the finish of the match. 3-D! And here is the Sandman. Paul does the hold me back attempt at going after Lawler. This whole show has probably been the most entertaining ECW of the yearbook so far. PeteF3
I marked for "Date w/ Ikea" by Pavement showing up on the menu music. Just getting that out there. Yeah, this ruled. The match is pretty decent all things considered, Undertaker promo aside, but the Lawler-Heyman argument is the highlight. Lawler's completely dropped the clown commentator act and is in full-fledged Memphis King mode, and Heyman gives as good as he gets. Vince seems to be getting intensely uncomfortable with everything going on, from the weapons shots to the personal attacks on commentary to D-Von trying to get his hands on Beulah. Buh Buh Ray and D-Von, who are now pretty much the familiar Dudley team we know, level Dreamer with the 3D afterward but Sandman saves, and we go off the air with mass chaos at ringside as Vince and the ECW crew try to hold Heyman and Lawler apart. Exposer
Really fun ECW style brawl with Lawler & Heyman throwing daggers at one another on commentary. The post-match is awesome with Bubba Ray & Sandman showing up followed by Heyman charging at Lawler causing a near brawl between the two. Vince gets swallowed by the swarming ECW roster. Great segment.
KB8
Undertaker promo going on at the finish was kind of weird and made ECW feel a bit like an afterthought, but I suppose if anything it gave you the sense these matches could end at any time and not everything had been planned out to the letter beforehand, which, you know, isn't really the case with WWE today. Lawler and Heyman pull-apart at the end was predictably awesome.
