Savage is good in this, but yeah, he was never a good fit for the NWO. He knows DDP's name now.

They do the slick editing of those NWO segments but agreed he's just not a natural fit. Even him saying NWO for life doesn't come off right.

I liked this as another good way to keep the feud continuing with both men not necessarily having to interact with each other.

The vignette is good enough, and Savage did need a reboot on his character, but he really seems off in his own little world, apart from the rest of the NWO. Actually the NWO feels more fractured than ever--Hogan/Bischoff, the Wolfpac, the B-team, and Savage/Liz are more like separate entities that are just sort of loosely affiliated. That's not necessarily a criticism, just an observation.

Better vignette than the Piper/Flair and Outsiders promos for sure.  Savage is starting to fall into that habit of saying things that at first listen sound "cool" but when taken as a whole end up being meaningless that Piper and Hogan have been in for the last month or two.  Don't know if he was a bad fit or he's just trying to do the stuff the other big names are doing.
