Loss
I'm cracking up that this second generation performer has gotten indie cred after being repackaged in a new gimmick and delivering one very good performance. Better booking than WWE's use of Joe Hennig.
Smack2k
She is: 1. NASTY 2. BEGGING to be looked at and have attention paid to (Daddy issues) 3. Heading for Lohan land fast

rovert
I remember Bruce Mitchell writing an article in the last few years comparing modern WWE house shows to a Hannah Montana concert - same audience with kids bringing their parents and one big merch schill. Kevin Ridge
I buy Sunny being the most downloaded woman on the internet back in the 96/97. I don't get Miley Cyrus chosen number one as Maxim's hottest female of 2013.

I have seen homeless women, un-showered for WEEKS look 1000 times better than Miley Cyrus... NASTY... Hey, at least Jeff Hardy had some talent....his talent was as big as her teeth at one time! Better booking than WWE's use of Joe Hennig. The indie cred is funny. It's like Stone Cold wanting to get over with the ROH folks after his run with the WWE. I don't give two shits about Cyrus, but she was drawing huge for four years as the main eventer on Disney Channel, and you're head will hurt if you go count up the number of #1 albums she had (under her own banner and the Hannah brand) while the show was running. Here first album as the show was coming to the end of production was a bomb relative to those, and it's now been three years since she's released an album. One gets the feeling that she's Kurt Angle. The WWE/Disney got the peak and best of their careers, while other will get the trainwreck part of the career.

S.L.L.
Wait...is "We Can't Stop" getting indie cred? http://mabsonenterprises.bandcamp.com/album/we-cant-stop People, help me out. What does this mean in the grand scale of indie cred-ness? I honestly don't know.
Loss
Well, Dan Deacon is kind of a big indy name and I believe he organized this project where 37 different groups remixed "We Can't Stop". Maybe the words "indy cred" were poorly chosen, but it's popular with that crowd in the same way "Since U Been Gone", "Umbrella", "Call Me Maybe" and other pop songs have occasionally been over the last decade or so. jdw
My thoughts after watching it earlier today: * "these are six minutes of my life that I'll never get back" * "will Miley ever grow up enough to grasp what an idiot she comes across as" Note: I don't think there's anything outrageous about the performance, and certain ain't offended by it. Just think that both in the video and on stage last night, she just comes across as a dumb teen. I certainly look back at my dumb teen period and drop my jaw at some of the stupidity, shake my head at some of it, felt guilty about a chunk of it, etc. Don't know if Miley will ever grow up enough to get to that point. * "when going for a skin colored bikini look, try Cloth material rather than Vinyl. You ass was warp all around by it and looked like shit a number of times. Unflattering, and you don't seem to have a bad rear end. Smack your designer around" Sorry... I confess to being a guy who will check out an ass, and it was noticeable how not-so-good it looked. * "that tongue thing isn't sexy. It's not funny. It's just stupid. At this point it's a bit like Michael Jackson grabbing his crotch. Come up with a new gimmick." * "you might want to look up Linday Lohan on Box Office Mojo. Exactly zero hits since Mean Girls, which was 9 years ago. So you can look at it one of two ways, Miley. You can still be a celeb that gets a lot of attention when you're completely washed up and zonked out on dope. Or... success can pass by fast, and no one will want anything to do with you unless you're that freak trainwreck and they can make some money off it while you spiral towards oblivion. So, um... make sure you save up a chunk of your money, and when the ride ends put some effort into that rehab thing. You might have another 50+ years which, while not in the spotlight can at least offer you other joy and comfort." Than this morning: * "I'm glad there's shit like this to force me to google twerk and ratchet"

Smack2k
Can someone PLEASE get rid of this girl from media attention? You want to make her hurt? Dont pay attention to her...she'd NEVER be able to handle it...all this bullshit is a cry for attention..and not giving it would ruin her....and that woudl be a good thing. She sucks...period...dog face looking trash. She'll say "she doenst care what people think.." Then, after this (couple years later) we will have to see more bullshit of the "Name the Media Person Here" interview with her as she discusses what bad choices she made and what she's doing to change on some evening show...repeat... No attention and this shit stops...when she or any others do something....just look and ignore...they wont know what to do and will go away one way or another... Sorry, but I hate that girl.
