Sidebottom
Sara Del Ray was more important in wrestling than Batista from 06 onwards, apparently.
tim
Cena's ranking alone makes it surprisingly not as bad as it could be.
Badlittlekitten
Sara Del Ray was more important in wrestling than Batista from 06 onwards, apparently. Nobody has said that. It's an okay list, certainly better than the Power Slam one. I disagree with all of it. 2006 is an odd year to start from, is that the year the magazine was born? Exposer
29. Kurt Angle 30. Edge 31. Masaaki Mochizuki 32. Jeff Hardy 33. Davey Richards 34. Adrian Neville 35. Randy Orton 36. Kevin Steen This is a fun section. To be fair, Jeff Hardy is someone I might have on my list if I did a top 100 of 2006-2013. I just wouldn't have him even close to this high. The rest, well, not so much.
rovert
Alan should have added "as it relates to FSM magazine over the years" to his criteria description. The list itself is in line with the coverage FSM gives to modern Wrestling. Sara Del Ray was more important in wrestling than Batista from 06 onwards, apparently. No one said that as already mentioned. Sara is an important/influential figure and should be represented on the list. As she helped carry SHIMMER for years, a cited influence on other females, broke the gender barrier on the indies in a pretty credible way and then became the first female trainer in NXT. 2006 is an odd year to start from, is that the year the magazine was born? It is indeed. They did a 100 to commemorate the 100th issue of the magazine. Negro Casas is criminal low. Outside of a really good piece Phil Schneider wrote and the occasional plug in the news section of Cassandro's Art festival shows in London the magazine doesn't really cover Lucha at all. rovert
I know but that isn't really the criteria as I already stated.
Zero
Maybe, I'm missing it. No Goldust?
Brian Elliott
Maybe, I'm missing it. No Goldust?Goldust has been tremendous since his return this year but didn't make the 2006-2013 cut. The criteria, as quoted in the magazine, is as follows: "FSM's 100 Greatest Wrestlers 2006-2013 was conceived to mark the date that FSM first hit the shelves, and our 100th issue. Consistent quality of matches in the period 2006-present was the main criteria, though this was not merely judged on workrate or technical skill, but instead incorporated performance on the biggest stage, ability to work the crowd, and quality of storylines." While we hardly shirk important, difficult stories, we always want to write about the best wrestling out there.
ButchReedMark
I can't see Davey Richard's as being the 33rd of the past 7 years by any of that criteria, ditto Young Bucks at 19. Also, needs more Lawler. Good to see Cena up there though.
