Mankind coming out right after that promo as Jack was great. He was practically doing an Orphan Black angle in 1998. Goldust is also 2 for 2 on this night with Dudedust. He does the same dance moves as Dude. These two could have probably had a good lumbering match around this time. Austin comes down to the ring after Mankind had the mandible claw on and stuns both of the competitors. He grabs JR mic and cuts a promo on the announce table. (DUD)

Dudedust with the padded ass to make it look bigger. Thought we need more of a camera zoom on Mankind's face to get his reaction to it. Another really quick match as Austin comes down and delivers a couple of Stunners. Not much time on these TV matches so far.

Austin delivers stunners all around to negate any kind of match. He puts on Ross' headset and cuts a promo and mimicks throwing back a beer. I feel like either he did that a lot or this was a pretty famous segment for him.

[Loss]

I agree that Mankind coming out right away was great. Dude Lovedust comes out to face Mankind in a match that's over within seconds, as Austin comes out to stun both of them.

Luna channeling Peggy Sue was quite the sight. This match goes about 30 seconds before Austin's run-in, due to Russo's minute attention span and due to the Foley-esque padding coming out of the back of Dustin's rear end.

Luna looks adorable. JR's "You wanna talk about hardcore? There's your man, Cactus Jack." was such a great line I remember recording it on a tape recorder held up to the TV as part of a sounds of wrestling compilation I started in one of my early manic states. Knowing what I know now, I'm surprised Foley didn't dedicate a whole chapter in one of his many books about how Goldust padding his ass to make it look huge hurt his feelings. He sure loves that Ole/McGuire Twin reference.

Mankind coming out right after the Cactus promo is a great bit of detail. Goldust dresses like Dude Love & Luna is a Dudette. Barely a match as Austin comes out to a huge ovation & stuns both before leaving. They way they built Austin up for this Rumble is great. A total loose cannon who looks unstoppable on his quest for the Title.
