Two of my favorite matches of all time in Bret/Owen at WrestleMania and Kawada/Misawa. Plenty of high end stuff from all over the world. Super J Cup. As others had mentioned WCW had a great run to start the year. Dusty's awesome promo. The Hogan show did turn things around for the negative. The year as whole does drop off towards the end. Reading the back issues of the Observer I'm sure Meltzer said that it didn't draw in Dusty's old stomping grounds when they went there off the back of that promo, which I can't fathom, given how great it was.
