If we're being consistent with how we're treating certain other people, their inability to perform at the same level in 1996 WCW or 1998 WWF should be held against them. And how are those nostalgia matches against the Midnights from 2004?

Better than the sum of its part. Morton was an all-time great worker. Gibson was okay and looked like crap. The tag team was awesome. And despite looking totally outdated, they could still deliver during the MNW era, as showed by matches on Nitro and Raw. Yeah. Pretty terrific team, and the picture perfect 80's babyface team.
