Coffey
Not only did he lose (which he should probably not be doing yet) he didn't get any shine in the match either. It was all headlocks, commercials breaks, him getting thwarted & then it was over. He looked like a jobber. He can lose to the WWE Champion, no problem. Let him get some shit in to ooh and awe the crowd though.
KrisZ
They didn't have to have him go over Rollins clean......a screwjob win would've been fine but a clean job come on now.
Bierschwale
The match was alright, but the worst part about that was the post-match curb stomp. Both of the curbstomps just looked like shit.
Coffey
And I would argue that the match wasn't "alright" either.
KrisZ
Again the WWE match layout narrative is strong....
(BP)
Neville got his first loss going toe to toe in a competitive match with the World Champion due to interference. If they'd kept up any kind of win streak it would have been against the Slaters and Fandangos before losing with no fanfare to someone in the midcard and trading wins with the intercontinental title crew for forever. I think this was better.
KrisZ
You gotta get him over though....have him get some wins under his belt looking impressive then you can shoot the Rollins angle.
Steenalized
Really hoping this builds to someone legitimately interesting coming out because Stardust isn't popping any crowd in the country.
Coffey
They could have had J&J distract the referee & run interference after Neville hit the Red Arrows. They could have let Neville hit more high spots. They could have had Neville on the offense more. Instead, he was selling, sitting in headlocks & waiting to come back from commercial breaks. It was all wrong, in my opinion. And I like this open challenge for the U.S. Title from Cena. Hope it becomes a weekly thing. They have to do better than Star Dust though. (BP)
I think Cody potatoed Cena at some point, because Cena looks pissed and his head is swelling. I can't remember the last bad Cena match I saw, but here we are.
Exposer
I don't know why Cena is working on top the entire time. Isn't he supposed to be the face? Stardust is fucking terrible too.
goodhelmet
Last week's wasn't very good.
Exposer
That match basically jumped right into hitting moves for near falls. Not my kind of match. The beginning with Cena on top was bad too.
Coffey
At this point, I just want Stardust to go away entirely. He provides literal nothing to the show.
Bierschwale
It wasn't that great but I would have no problem saying that it was better than Neville-Rollins.
goodhelmet
OK, I hope they push the Prime Time Players this time around!
Coffey
Some of the show does feel different tonight. Like some of the cuffs are off in the promos.
Strummer
Some of the show does feel different tonight. Like some of the cuffs are off in the promos. Definitely feels like a different tone. I'm sure we will be back to the usual tired formula next week
goodhelmet
Well, there goes Luke Harper.
Strummer
Poor Harper
goodhelmet
Man, that New Day promo was so quasi-shoot, you would think these guys are fucking mentally done with this bullshit.
Exposer
Man, Ryback-Harper have a better match in them if they're given time. I also dislike Harper losing in three minutes.
hammerva
Man, that New Day promo was so quasi-shoot, you would think these guys are fucking mentally done with this bullshit. That Big E was basically all his twitter rant in one promo. Also proved how how much they are wasting Big E with this sweaty preacher man stuff. Obviously they are turning these guys heel but are they going to be the black version of Bo Dallas or try over with that new Nation of Domination that they quit on in about 2 weeks. Parties
Looks like they're building to a heel turn, which means four more weeks of Xavier Woods jobbing to every other team. I guess it's good that they did some subtly nefarious double-team stuff, and Big E's always been a good promo, but I doubt they'll get any momentum. More likely it'll be dropped in two months and all three guys will continue to come off as awkward cuckolds.
Coffey
There's an hour left. We still have Reigns/Show, Miz/Sandow & the main event. Where are Bryan, Ziggler, Sheamus, Rusev, Wyatt, Ambrose, Heyman. You know, all the people I actually watch the show for...
