goc
Boon I just want to say, as far as filling the needs of your promotion you are probably the best set guy at this point. Southeastern didn't need a lot but you already seem to have gotten just about everything necessary and everything else is just icing on the cake for you. Matt D
All joking aside, Parv's doing a great job building the AWA roster.
dawho5
Parv does have a really good all-star promotion going for sure. I had hoped to grab either DeLuc or Bravo after building my tag division, but it fell through. I had to go with option #3 that could have waited another 3 or 4 rounds instead. goc
dawho also has a pretty nice Montreal set up with with The Rouegaus vs. Tongas feud, The Midnight Express vs. Jim Brunzell & Phil LaFon and split them up a bit for singles to flesh out the card and keep it fresh. Or throw Armand in and someone on the Tongas side to do a 6 man. Â I think there may be a bit of over thinking going on with people's plans. You need 2 maybe 3 hot matches at the top and after that you're just doing anything ranging from random workrate midcard matches, goofy comedy midcard matches or total prelim stuff. JHawk
To answer a couple of questions from earlier in this thread: Â Wikipeida claims a debut date of 1982 but the earliest result I can find of Tracy Smothers is September 18, 1984. Â Parv can't draft Dick the Bruiser since he owns WWA

Then Boricua has to scoop Bob Sweetan in the FIFTH! And you took Bobby Jaggers from me. Â I don't want to pick on Boricua because he obviously has some kinda big plan for Mr. Piledriver but Sweetan being valued so much more than Billy Jack somewhat blows my mind. Just from a "look at him on an 8x10" standpoint.

JerryvonKramer
I think there may be a bit of over thinking going on with people's plans. You need 2 maybe 3 hot matches at the top and after that you're just doing anything ranging from random workrate midcard matches, goofy comedy midcard matches or total prelim stuff. I think what might not be appreciated, though, is that WWF was not a normal territory, it was more like a super territory. I am running four huge arenas every month, an operation in California, a regular smaller show loop. I need a lot of stars to headline a lot of shows. The loanees can cover the big shows, but I still needed viable main eventers for those smaller venues. Â As such, I am only NOW starting to look at the mid-card. On the one hand, a huge amount of the good mid-carders are gone. On the other, Vince Sr. sort of ran a weird operation where beyond Andre, the heel of the month, the IC champ and challenger and tag champs and challngers, it's literally a jump from there to Rick McGraw, Johnny Rodz, etc. In essence, there was no "mid-card" or if there was it was held up entirely by the tag title match. JHawk
Skip Young (Sweet Brown Sugar) going to Wahoo hurts as I had come up with the idea of him forming a tag team with Bobo Brazil and Brazil essentially being his mentor. Luckily I wasn't planning it as a top of the card angle and can work around it.

Dylan Waco
I've now got a 28 pick gap between picks. It is very possible that there will not be a single person on the board left that I actually want when it is time to pick again.

JHawk
Right now I have a list of 25 names in front of me. I know I'm guaranteed one of them. I'm not sure which one I most want to fall to me. Â I figure I have about four rounds before I start randomly picking people to fill jobber roles.
Dylan Waco
With Colt he was actually third or fourth on my depth chart, and not a real "need," but I have a plan for him and really was afraid he would be gone in 28 picks.

JHawk
Is Corpus Christi a WCCW town or Southwest? I promise not to break out any maps if it's WCCW. WCCW ran three shows that I can find in 1983. May 4, May 13 and December 29. I have nothing for Southwest but it doesn't appear it was really either group's town. I'd say WCCW if we had to give it to one in particular. Â EDIT: I'm positive I don't have complete records but that's what I have

goc
I'm flying out to Majorca on Sunday for 10 days, concerned I won't see out the end of the draft... If you want to just try and stay true to Southeastern then KrisZ could finish off your draft or I could. Â We could either start blowing thru picks as guys get less attached or have it slow down as everyone goes "who the fuck is this guy" and tries to research Ali Bey or some shit.
