Slasher Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Wouldn't the logical strategy for Rollins is to immediately get himself disqualified in the US title match to preserve himself for Sting? Surely the WWE title is more important to him right? No, he has to prove himself to the Greatest WWE Superstar Ever in History so he'll do two 20-30 minute defenses. The greatest superstar ever punted points in an Ironman match to gain an advantage. Surely he would understand this strategy. Quote

Logic isnt always good entertainment. Quote
Matt D Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Don't we have one or two people here really into Rollins? Quote
cpst Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 It seems like basically every major Cena opponent does the sarcastic Five Knuckle Shuffle. Quote
Childs Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 I hate the tree-of-woe double stomp. It so blatantly requires the opponent to hold himself in an unnatural position to take it. Quote
cpst Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 The Code Red looks a lot better against Rollins than Owens. Quote
Matt D Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 I hate the tree-of-woe double stomp. It so blatantly requires the opponent to hold himself in an unnatural position to take it. I hate it too, except for in trios when the partners hold the guy up. I actually kind of liked this one because it looked like Rollins was standing on Cena's hand (held on the top rope) to keep him there Quote
EricR Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 If anyone is interested I'm doing a live blog on Segunda Caida. So far a really enjoyable show with nothing blowaway, but a couple good TV matches. Thing I've been most impressed with is the direction as they're replaying all the right things, moving on from the things they should be (like that spike DDT on Rusev that saw his head nowhere near touching the mat). http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2015/09/wwe-night-of-champions-2015-live-blog.html Quote

Just an ill-conceived spot. Quote
Matt D Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 When you have to argue away gravity, it's probably not the move to do, yes. Quote
Jmare007 Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Someone has to tell Seth to stop doing that fucking superplex/falcon arrow spot. Fucking hate that shit. Quote
Childs Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 And we're into Cena-Owens finisher Hell. Quote

goodhelmet Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 John Cena vs. Seth Rollins - This was a fun match but, man, I hate that Davey Richards tribute act bullshit. I think it is sort of fucked up that Rollins has to fight two matches in a row and if Sting doesn't win, he looks like a bitch. Quote
Exposer Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 John Cena vs Seth Rollins (US Title) - I thought this was real good. I loved the decisive finish. I was shocked at Cena hitting three moves to win. That needs to happen more often in WWE. The counters in this were great too even if I thought going for the Five Knuckle Shuffle several times is a bit ludicrous. Cena's such a fucking jerk. Quote
Matt D Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 It's easy to have a decisive finish if you're putting the loser over in the main event right after. Quote
Childs Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 I'm really hoping Cena gets past this PWG ace phase. Quote
Matt D Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Rollins finally gets to work like Honkytonk Man like he should be instead of like Blitzkreig on steroids. Quote
cpst Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Why is an old man doing announce table bumps with the monitors still in the table? Quote
Childs Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Well, Sting doesn't look any worse than he did in the 1997 Starcade main event. Quote
WingedEagle Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Cena vs. Rollins - Good match that didn't touch Summerslam, but they couldn't go that hard with Sting having to follow. Crowd is hard on his match as it is. Surprised but impressed that there were no shenanigans at all in the finish. Really curious if Rollins or Sheamus leave with the title tonight. Hopefully Rollins. Cannot wait for him to turn face as I think he'll really excel there. Quote
artDDP Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Wait, doesn't this card deserve gold ropes around the ring instead of white? Quote
Slasher Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Sting is sure acting his age here. He looks terrible. Quote
Slasher Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Wait, doesn't this card deserve gold ropes around the ring instead of white? No that's too close to NXT colors. Quote
goodhelmet Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 John Cena vs. Sting - This was turning into the best Sting match since probably 1998 up until the weird finish where Sting was either legit damaged or it was bad booking. Either way, I really liked the match until the ending. Quote
