Judy Bagwell Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 Were they the megapowers of Jobbers? they teamed together 10 times and though not going over in any of those matches they carried the likes of the Young Stallions and The Rockers to decent matches. I havent found any footage of their falling out but legend has it that the subsequent blow off match was a 60 minute time limit draw with no man being able to pin the other. Some have called that match the greatest dark match of all time Could they have taken the Conquistadors? Horowitz has the scalps of Lanny Poffo, Owen Hart, sir Mo, Skip, Hakushi Lombardi beat Joey Abs, The Goodfather, Funaki, Lanny poffo, Paul roma any memories of this underpushed duo?
goc Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 I think Horowitz & Lombardi were skilled at making other guys look good but I mean come on The Rockers were way better and not a team in need of being "carried" by the time they got to the WWF.
Grimmas Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 Conquistadors, Black Shadows and Mulkeys all say hello.
Ricky Jackson Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 Johnny Rodz and Baron Scicluna GJTTE
PeteF3 Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 Conquistadors, Black Shadows and Mulkeys all say hello. I don't think they count as "MegaPowers"--two singles legends (in their own way) coming together as a unit. They're more like the Road Warriors, Demolition, and Rock 'n Roll Express of jobbers, respectively. Rodz and Scicluna have a much stronger argument.
Matt D Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 I kind of like Horowitz and Bob Bradley more.
thebrainfollower Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 Horowitz was a mid card heel in FL right? Whereas Lombardi wrestled only in the WWF and really only as a jobber (name me one Brooklyn Brawler win over a name talent) Don't think that much of Lombardi but I love me some Barry.
funkdoc Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 (name me one Brooklyn Brawler win over a name talent) big bully busick. really. they had a bit of a heel vs. heel TV feud where they traded wins
thebrainfollower Posted November 21, 2015 Report Posted November 21, 2015 And HHH. I forgot about that one.
Al Posted November 21, 2015 Report Posted November 21, 2015 To me, Duane Gill and Barry Hardy were the quintessential jobber megapowers of my generation.
Mad Dog Posted November 22, 2015 Report Posted November 22, 2015 George South, Rocky King and Italian Stallion.
