Kris & David are joined by Tom Green (Full House Podcast) to discuss the week that was January 5-11, 1994. We discuss various wrestlers in bar brawls, John Nord’s career trajectory, Antonio Pena’s Japanese business tour, ECW crossing the line, Jerry Lawler’s legal problems, and why did the Hart Brothers vs. Steiner Brothers take place in Florence, South Carolina. This is a wild and wooly show and a must listen!!!

I told Kris and Bix this seedy tale from back in the day. We'd go to the Louisville Gardens each week and during the intermissions, would hang around the heel dressing room (they'd mingle by the entrance and watch the matches) because we were dumb teen marks.

This incident was around 89, but some girl that looked about 14-15, had that trashy hot look about her, was hanging around as well. We saw her talking to DI Bob Carter and it looked like he blew her off. She was walking off and told her friend "that's the first rassler to say no to fuckin me." I was floored, lol

A bit off-topic, but since it was brought up in this episode, can I throw some cold water on the Jimmy Valiant/glass coffee table story? I know Ricky Morton retweeted that cartoon, but the exact same urban legend goes around about Danny Thomas. (I don't have a specific link to point to, but just google "Danny Thomas glass coffee table" and pick one of the many, many results.) Unless that particular fetish is a lot more common than I thought, which is even more disturbing, when you think about it.

Chuck Berry has also been linked to that Urban Legend too.

This was the only Nord in AJPW from 94 I could find online. (at least I think that's what it is). Some awesome Hansen moments in the match. Nord looked ok. Like the world's best possible Brody. He gave a lot less than in WWF but probably more appropriately. His offense looked good. I wish there was more time of him vs Taue in there.
