dkookypunk43
Hey Guys, I constructed a list of my 100 favorite matches of all time right now. It's a good mix. Remember I'm only 19 and only seen so much so give it a look and place your opinions here. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER https://docs.google.com/document/d/15MZ4N0VP4a9urK-L2nCz-BHpBSD7suDZJwdvh8VUCKU/edit?usp=sharing Thanks
BigBadMick
Lots of great stuff in there. Seems like you've spent your limited time wisely. You've requested opinions. Just a couple that I find out of place in a Top 100 - Rock/Mankind at Rumble, Awesome/Tanaka (One Night Stand), Undertaker/Mankind (KotR 98), Windham and Luger v Horsemen (Clash 1 - a little too short for classic status to me) and HHH/Michaels (Hell in a Cell). JerryvonKramer
Just to say that Clash 1 Luger / Windham vs. Arn / Tully tag was 48 in my top 100, and I seem to recall it had a similar sort of placement on Tim L's recent list. I also think that DiBiase vs. Duggan might even be a shorter match, so I don't think length is necessarily a criterion for classic status. Pretty sure Steven put that 4-minute Bock vs. Zbyszko match on his, and that might be pushing it. I kinda like his list. Apart from the presence of the Taker vs. HBK WM25 (which I'm in the minority on). I also maintain that Brock vs. Roman from WM2015 is better than the Rumble triple threat in basically every way (which I think I'm also in the minority on). BigBadMick
Really? I should watch it again. Previous viewings have always left me with the impression it was really rushed (for tv time, presumably).
andrew79
Based on your list, you should watch some Hashimoto. Try the 95 G1 Climax final with him versus Mutoh. I think it's a better match than the 91 final which made your list.

A match I love more every time I watch it and somehow think they incorporated Rollins just about perfectly when on paper such a scenario may read like a trainwreck. Really eager to compile a list of this sort myself, but so many matches I've yet to rewatch since I started tracking things that it'd be very incomplete at this point. dkookypunk43
I liked the triple threat better but I have bias since I was in the building.
Microstatistics
You have 6/9/1995 listed twice.

peachchaos
Lots of great stuff on there. I myself appreciate the high placement of the Dog Collar Match at Starrcade. One of those times wrestling felt brutal on an absolutely visceral level.
Death From Above
Nice list. I'm sure I must have had one myself at some point, but my viewing really over the last decade has been so spotty that it would be swiss cheese now. PhilTLL
Lots of great stuff on there. I myself appreciate the high placement of the Dog Collar Match at Starrcade. One of those times wrestling felt brutal on an absolutely visceral level. I love it too. And, if I can circle back around to one of Mick's replies, that might explain why kookypunk ranks Foley/Rock and Foley/Taker. Those aren't my favorite *matches* but they're singular brutal spectacles that I've had friends ask me to dig up and rewatch more than once. dkookypunk43
The I Quit Cage Match is my #1 of all time. I said no particular order but that was the first match I thought of to put on there. I like violent spectacles and those three matches (Dog Collar, Foley/Rock, Mankind/Taker) are the best examples at those violent spectacles. I think it's a better match than the 91 final which made your list. I like the 91 match a little better because of the historical significance but the 95 match was very good as well. What Hashimoto matches should I watch?
bestintheworld3589
So I'm planning on doing a Top 100 list too and your list made me feel better about making mine. You don't have that many lucha or puro matches and mine will have none b/c I haven't watched hardly any of either. Mine will be made up of majority WWF/WWE, NWA/WCW, ECW, TNA, & ROH and probably nothing before 1983. I'm 26, but I only started watching wrestling in late 1998, but didn't become a smart internet fan until like 2003, I was worried about posting my list here when I get it finished because I thought I would get laughed at and ridiculed for not being near as well rounded in all promotions/territories as majority of people on this forum are. After seeing the compliments and friendly advice on what you should watch it made me more comfortable and I will post my list here when I get it done.I'm currently listening to Steven Graham & Tim Livingston doing their top 100 on the pro wrestling super show and I'm enjoying it very much. andrew79
What Hashimoto matches should I watch? There are recommendations in this thread. And a match that's not in that thread, but you might appreciate, is Hash vs Tenryu from 8/1/98 - they just beat the hell out of each other. You can watch it here. bestintheworld3589
Don't expect to see it anytime soon, this might be a year long project for me as I need to re-watch a lot of stuff lol
dkookypunk43
Thanks for the feedback guys. Really appreciate it, I'm young in my fandom but willing to watch more!!
WingedEagle
Gotta start somewhere. Your list may change dramatically in one month or 6, but that's what makes this stuff. Nothing written in stone.
dkookypunk43
Yeah and I have a pretty good start. I have holes I need to fill such as the 70s in general, Lucha, late 90s NJPW and early 2000s indies
