Best squash match workers?

There's a WWF squash from around 87 even more brutal with Ware than this. I would legit have refused to go up for the ghostbuster if I were that jobber.

Was Koko a tough guy? I've seen him treat jobbers like this at least half a dozen times and wondering if anyone ever tried anything with him.

There's a famous Memphis story of him just kicking the shit out of Steve Keirn. When Lane came around, Ware asked if he wanted some, with Lane backing away.

Koko will always be a fav. I went to the Louisville Gardens for years, and if he was a face, Koko NEVER would turn away autographs or slapping hands with fans

Koko B Ware. Heaven help you if you take a liberty with the Birdman

I second this.

I'm trying to rack my brain, but I don't remember any heel turn by Koko at this time as he was feuding a lot with Buddy and Dundee. I think he left for Mid South around March (granted, in Louisville we got the condensed version, so you miss some stuff).

But his demeanor is showing heel turn

I remember the Samoan Swat Team having some great squashes.

This is the correct answer. I remember years ago Rob Naylor making a HL of them squashing jobbers mostly that was epic. Sucks I haven't seen that online in years.

The other obvious picks: Demolition and the Road Warriors who were great in squash matches too.

What's the general opinion on Ryback as a squash match worker? I remember when he first came about, I'd love seeing him take on multiple jobbers at a time. He had a flashy powerhouse moveset and was insanely charismatic. It was just so much fun watching him throw jobbers about. At the time, I believed he could of been a top guy if he was booked right and was working with guys who knew how to protect his flaws and bring out the best in him. It's a shame how it turned out...

He was entertaining and he could have been a bigger star than he was but it's no different to Wrath in WCW. Giant athletic charismatic dude squashing jobbers is a formula that usually works.

He did way too many silly WWE video game style mannerisms to start a chant and/or a Pavlovian reaction and the little walk before the finisher was really annoying. This is more an indictment of the style than him as a wrestler to be fair.

If I recall the reason Koko was amped up was because he got screwed in a previous big match. I can't remember if it was the NWA title match vs. Flair or where he got a TV broken that he won. It was something like that and the squash was more to show his frustration....but my memory is hazy so I could be off.

The match with Flair was in Nov and this was Feb, so I'm not sure it was the Flair match and Koko was gone right after this match to Mid South.

Just his demeanor walking to the ring was signifying a heel turn though. He was just dressed like Santa a few weeks back, lol

Razor Ramon always had brutal squash matches.

Yokozuna before he got really fat, had fun jobber matches as well.

I remember as a kid really enjoying Yoko's early run where he had that gimmick for a while where no one could even knock him down and he just killed jobbers, that led into the Jim Duggan angle.

Been going through 1994 Raw's recently, and Jeff Jarrett is a guy who is a lot of fun in squashes, really good at getting his character across which helps keep things interesting. He's so cocky that he leaves openings which the jobbers take advantage of to take control on him. He'll get up embarrassed, beating the jobber down in fury, then start letting his guard down again, repeating the cycle. It gives a fun edge to his squashes. He ended one match by pulling the jobber's tights, a totally unnecessary piece of cheating.
