I can only think the PWO experts can help me here. Can anyone think of any promos, interviews etc in wrestling history where the wrestler uses the word "Generation". This is the intro to a podcast I am working on, have recorded two episodes but need an opener. Title is "The Wrestling Generation Gap" so I figured that would be an appropriate starter. Want to avoid the phrase DeGeneration X except maybe once.

Dates are helpful of course if any of you can think of an example

I can't give you anything too specific, but wasn't WWF around 94-95 referred to as the "New Generation"? Might be some stuff there.

"Long live the New Generation of the World Wrestling Federation!" That was a Diesel soundbite that played in a lot of WWF music videos of the time, usually set to his new entrance music.

They love to talk about second or third generation wrestlers on commentary, so anyone who fits that bill probably mentions it at some point.

Not wrestling, but an easy soundbite containing "generation" can be found in the Mortal Kombat movie. Both Raiden and Johnny Cage's sensei say it, at the very least.

Would including JFK's generation line be considered bad taste?

Not really wrestling related, but other than that I don't see anything wrong with it. It's your podcast. Lol

I don't know what production this is from, but here's one of the usual WWE voiceover guys saying it a few times.

I would guess the Randy/Bob Orton joint appearances from the 2000s might have one of them saying it.

McMahon says "third generation" within seconds of Rocky Maivia's debut at Survivor Series 1996. And at the finish.
