Ricky Jackson
Was WarGames always spelled awkwardly as one word like this? Is it supposed to symbolize two rings side by side? Just some weird WCW thing like two r's in Starrcade? Anyway...WarGames is back! Well, mostly in name only but whatever. Should be a fun show as always with a hot crowd and some potentially great matches. Who should win the women's match? Personally I think Sane should be chasing, Cross doesn't need it, putting it on a heel like Peyton could be a good idea, but Moon may need to win finally after all these months challenging and coming up short. Though I'm still not a huge fan of her and have found it hard to get behind her as a babyface
sek69
The match was always two words back in the day..... The 80s movie with Matthew Broderick however was spelled WarGames though.
Coffey
Day of the WarGames PPV and Ember Moon was on Twitter posting pictures of her fingernails. I've never been rooting against a wrestler winning a match more in my life! Ha. Pulling for Peyton Royce. 4/5 of the matches are interesting to me. I don't really care about Lars/Hero, but it might be OK. La Sombra/Drew Mac should be good. Dream/Black has had really good build. The women's 4-way is intriguing. WarGames is WarGames so that'll be fun. Wants: Hero, Royce, La Sombra, Dream, Undisputed ERA Predictions: Lars, Sane, Drew, Black, AoP/Strong If Peyton Royce wins the Women's Title, you can have her as a heel getting matches with Moon & Sane while starting to tease her & Billie Kay showing animosity. Then down the road you could split them and have on go babyface. Can get quite a few weeks of TV out of that. Plus, I like the idea of Sane chasing the belt longer. sek69
Hero winning would seem counterproductive, since the point of the match appears to be getting Lars over by putting him with a guy who can make him look like a millon bucks in his first big match. The women's match is interesting though. Peyton winning and having everyone chase seems to make the most sense in booking terms, but Ember has to win the big one at some point or she'll end up getting Lex Luger'd. There's probably a big temptation on their part to put it on Sane to build off the tournament, so it will be something to watch to see which way they end up going. Zoo Enthusiast
Pretty excited for this show after having binged all of the TV since the last Takeover over the past couple days. Really looking forward to both shows this weekend. Don’t really expect a blow-away show, except possibly the main event. I’m interested to see what Ohno can put together with Lars. Black/Velveteen Dream has been a good long-term watch. I think Ember probably needs to win unless they don’t really care about her or if she is going right up to the main roster. I think Drew’s character stuff has been really good lately and that his match was Roddy was great. I’ve really become a fan of Almas, as well, so I think that will be really solid. I like Cole and Fish but, man, Undisputed Era is a dumb fucking name. Picks: Lars / Moon / Black / Galloway / AoP & Roddy
Isae Arreola
I'm very excited for tonight's show. The build has been really good and all five matches have the potential to be great with the talent involved. The Aleister Black/Velveteen Dream feud has caught me by surprise by how good it's been built on NXT TV. I wasn't completely sold on Patrick Clark when he first debut the Velveteen Dream gimmick, but he turned it around for me and delivered with his interactions with Black. I'm very interested to see how their match plays out. As for the Fatal 4-Way, Peyton is the best choice to win the Women's title. NXT's women's division is loaded with babyfaces ready to chase for the belt, so a heel champion is needed to compensate. With Billie Kay by her side, Peyton can go for some cheap and underhanded victories, a welcome change of pace after Asuka's dominate reign. Both Kay and Royce are entertaining characters and can easily carry the talking segments on television. I'm a fan of all the women involved in the match, but giving Royce the title gives NXT way more options to work with than if Cross, Moon or Sane wins it. sek69
For all the "Horsewomen" groups going around, I'd love to see Peyton and Billie actually act like Horsewomen. Billie as the Arn of the group making sure the title stays where it is would be great.
sek69
Also I just realized we're going to see what I thought was the coolest thing ever when I was a kid: non War Games matches in the double rings.
hammerva
Damn the match I was most excited for is the 1st match. Short and stiff as fuck. The way it should have been. This is NXT's Braun Strowman and it is going to be awesome to see him evolve
clintthecrippler
Damn. Steel grate between the two rings. No one getting stuck between. I'm out. Being facetious of course, but damn, just another chip away at the things us old school fans love about War Games.
sek69
Velveteen Dream my new favorite NXT guy just for busting out the Rick Rude gimmick for his tights.
hammerva
The only thing wrong with Dream's tights is that Black's face should have been on his ass. Then you are full Rude

C.S.
Lars Sullivan looks like a powerhouse. Kassius Ohno remains as ill-fitting and unimpressive as ever in NXT. Whatever magic or mojo he had on the indies has officially been killed off. He should take notes from Velveteen Dream on how to lose a match and still look effective and get your character over (assuming Velveteen loses - the match is still ongoing). What is Ohno's character? Duke the Dumpster Drose joined a basketball team?
hammerva
People said that Dream vs Black's house show matches were really damn good and judging from this match I can definitely see that.
Zoo Enthusiast
That was a blast. I don't know if Velveteen Dream is something that can work on the main roster but it is great in NXT.
Flyin' Brian
Dream vs Black was a lot of fun. Ohno's offense was odd and limited in that match. Big boots and elbows and not much else.

hammerva
Yeah that double Eclipse looked really forced but a really fun sprint from all 4. Ember winning is fine. Assume the money is Kari winning at the WM Takeover Great touch having Asuka put over Ember with the belt
sek69
Peyton selling it like the Rock taking a Stunner made up for the forced aspect of it.
hammerva
The chemistry between Almas and Vega is awesome. She is going to be a great manager if the WWE allows her to be

hammerva
I think Drew is legit knocked out on that finish. Either that or he is already setting up his heel turn like in EVOLVE With all those false finishes I thought there was no way Almas would win The transformation of Almas from the goofy babyface in a hat and suspenders to champions has been one of the best long term storylines in NXT. If it actually was one.
Blehschmidt
I figure Drew is getting the call up, but he certainly seemed to be legit favoring that arm.
