Jmare007
HGH KENTA has me hyped up. I just need him to be an asshole, unleash vicious kicks and stay healthy as long as possible. The Ibushi match should be awesome, it's 13 years in the making.
superkix
Yeah, NJPW has badly been missing a Shibata-type so hopefully, KENTA can somewhat fill that role by just kicking the shit out of people.
Boss Rock
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but KENTA's definitely the one I'm looking forward to seeing the most.
Jmare007
I'm loving this crowd so far, might not be the biggest attendance but they are into everything, no annoying chants and they sound loud as fuck. This tag match is fun as fuck.
Coffey
Missed most of the first tag dealing with computer issues but saw the finish & love the Super Bomb from the Tongans. The second tag match was great. I'm ready for Ishii/Cobb in singles. Cobb is such a beast. Third tag, not so much. Chase Owens has to be one of the worst in the company to me. I like Goto, but that felt like a nothing match. Juice Robinson looking like The Boogie Woogie Man. Yano has really grown on me. I like a lot of the talent in that match but again, just kind of there. Nothing special. Just early card fun stuff.
Alucard
Ospreay/Lance is one I'm looking forward to a lot. Liked their last match and a huge fan of Archer, no doubt he'll be looking to shine in his home state so I hope they deliver the goods. Always felt he was one WWE horribly dropped the ball on. Coffey
Tiger Hitori is retiring. Legend. Doing an upcoming show in New York at the Hammerstein. Ospreay Vs. Archer starting now. The start was insane. I was wrong about writing this match off. This is hype as fuck. Match was a great sprint, especially if you love BIG spots. Was a lot of fun. Got my super excited. Jmare007
Ospray makes me feel like and old grumpy dude yelling at clouds most of the time. It was a fun bombfest but I doubt I'll remember anything about it in two days, oh well.
Alucard
Yeah that was f'n awesome from Lance/Ospreay. Didn't see that finish coming but great stuff throughout and crowd seemed super hot for it.
NintendoLogic
Ospreay/Archer was dope. EVIL/Fale was not. If Fale isn't the worst wrestler with a significant push in a major promotion, he's not too far off.
Coffey
This Sabre/Sanada match is getting a lot of time.
Jmare007
Finish was awesome but that was a weird match, so much stalling and nothing happened for close to 10 minutes. Kinda disappointed tbh.
aaeo_
Don't know if Kenta/Ibushi is going to a draw or I'm just not used to the pace of this company
aaeo_
That was OK
Jmare007
Yeah, that wasn't the MOTYC I was expecting but it was still pretty damn good. KENTA from 2013 is back I guess. I hope he gets to work shorter matches though, he's better suited for 12-15 minutes than 20+.

aaeo_
Kenta had a couple great moments in that match but I was expecting striking exchanges between those two to be a bit more fluid, and the big spots were very spaced out with few interesting things happening in between. I think they may be having a bunch more matches going forward, with the way NJ books, so they probably didn't wanna go all out.
NintendoLogic
The biggest problem was the lack of crowd heat. I suspect that they didn't want to boo either guy, so KENTA working heel deflated them. They also probably expected more high flying from KENTA, even though he doesn't really work that style anymore. Coffey
Ospreay/Archer was MOTN.
Jmare007
I actually think MOTN was Shota/Ishii vs Cobb/Narita, followed by Tana/Okada.
Boss Rock
Didn't catch the first two matches but liked everything else. ZSJ-SANADA was definitely longer than it needed to be but was still good. KENTA-Ibushi was easily KENTA's best match in ages and while not great, still better than I expected. Okada-Tana was basically a 20 minute greatest hits version of their previous stuff but was great. Glad they worked with a little more urgency considering the 30 minute draw story.
SmartMark15
Archer-Ospreay definitely gets MOTN for me by a pretty wide margin although I enjoyed Tanahashi-Okada as a greatest hits touring match. Lacking substance? Sure. But it's compressed which makes up for A LOT.
Makai Club #1
Most of the matches tonight felt like the greatest hits. The US shows are definitely designed to be a showcase which is perfectly fine, especially considering most matches deliver tonight. Loved Okada vs Tanahashi, my MOTN. brocklock
I guess I'm in the minority, but I loved KENTA/Ibushi and thought that was the clear MOTN. Felt very intense throughout and I thought KENTA looked great. I thought Ospreay/Archer started out really good then just got too much overkill and started dragging for me. They ditched the big vs little dynamic by the end, and Ospreay and Archer were doing 50/50 spots with Ospreay lifting him up and doing power spots. Archer felt like he was working less like a big man during the second half of the match.
