I do like the twist of it being a random draw each time though. Lanny tries to stand up for his brother but Garvin is too much to handle. Luckily for Savage, Ricky Steamboat is willing to step up. Rockers & Rock n Roll Express are ready to tear each other apart. Wild Bill & the Youngbloods Chase off Black Bart & The Jayhawks. Major win for Hall over Slater. With a little help from Dan Spivey, Scott Casey finally becomes Chicago Street Fight champ! McHenry has a huge night of wrestling ahead of them. All of Scott Casey's hard work in Windy City finally pays off. Good for him. I'm all in on the RnR/Rockers feud. Wild Bill and Black Bart have added a lot of heat to the Renegade Warriors/Jayhawks feud. WOW! Awesome way to debut Steamboat! A Savage/Steamboat alliance would be epic! LowBlowPodcast Posted October 20, 2022 Author Report Share Posted October 20, 2022 October 28 Massacre in McHenry Koko B Ware vs BattleKat Bob Bradley Solid opener with Koko getting the crowd going once again The fans are behind this youngster as he continues to look great in the ring BattleKat doesn’t have too much going his way but has enough offense to make it interesting In the end we see Koko fly around with some big chops The finish is a nasty dropkick off the top rope that puts Bradley down and out for the 3-count! The Nasty Boys vs Bad Company Interesting pairing in this one The Nasties and Bad Company don’t get too much fanfare It may not be the fan favorites but these four fire on all cylinders Neither team really gains complete control throughout the contest but both give everything they’ve got The finish is kind of messy with Tanaka and Diamond in control Saggs gets double clotheslined out of the ring to the floor Knobbs is double teamed… until Tanaka and Diamond hit the ropes but Sags pulls the rope down and Tanaka goes flying Diamond then gets caught by Knobbs for an absolutely disgusting back body drop right on his head The 3-count and the Nasty Boys get a big win but this one may be far from over SIX MAN TAG Wild Bill Irwin & The Renegade Warriors vs Dutch, Jaggers, & Black Bart Fun six-man here with some nice heat Dutch and his outlaws definitely get the heat going from the crowd The Renegades are in over their heads… plain and simple Dutch and Jaggers are becoming one of the top teams i Windy City and show it off here Wild Bill is gaining a following and he and Bart don’t pull any punches with one another This one ends in a dq when Black Bart grabs the whip and nails Mark Youngblood The referee calls for the bell but all hell is breaking loose We see all six-men get in the ring and Wild Bill brings out the bull rope and clears things This one is far from over and I think Bill and the Warriors have got more business to take care of in the future CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Scott Casey vs The Moondog What an ovation for Scott Casey who comes out and he has got the fans behind him He and the Moondog throw some nice shots and we get some weapons involved early on A trash can ends up on the head of Moondog Then we see Casey grab that dog bone and he cracks that trash can something awful The can falls off and Moondog falls back into Scott Casey kicks him in the gut and JUMPING PILEDRIVER! 1….2….3! Scott Casey with a big win and the crowd pops! Rock N Roll Express vs Rockers Here we go… one more time these two teams just break the walls down 30-minutes and they use every single second of it The Rockers get some big time heat and boy do they know how to get it going Ricky and Robert just throw some big time bombs with everyone flying around the ring The nuts and bolts of the match show how far the Rockers have come and how great the Rock N Roll are Marty and Shawn get some major heat on Ricky and work over his neck something awful Shawn and Marty take every chance to double team and do blind tags A spike piledriver on Ricky is spelling the end but Robert is able to come back and break it up Around the 20-minute mark Ricky is able to make the hot tag and Robert comes in with some huge shots The crowd is stirring and for the final 9-minutes these flour leave everything they have The final moments see a double superkick that knocks Robert out of the ring only for Ricky to come and dropkick both the Rockers sending Marty out of the ring to the floor Marty and Robert are throwing outside the ring Inside the ring, Shawn and Ricky go move for move and then final moments see Ricky duck a clothesline and hits a German Suplex Both men have shoulders down for the 11….22….33! Both men raise their arms at the end but the referee calls for the bell We get the announcement from Joe Pedicino that it was a double pinfall! The crowd isn’t having it here but wait a second… here comes Marty and Shawn with chairs and they crack the Rock N Roll. The battle maybe went both ways but the war is far from over. Ricky the Dragon Steamboat vs Jimmy Garvin w/ Precious Another big time contest as Ricky Steamboat comes out to an amazing pop Garvin is no selling all of it and not even giving Steamboat the respect he deserves This one goes about 18-minutes and has some good heat with Garvin We see Ricky working the pace that Garvin can’t seem to keep up with A big moment happens when Steamboat goes for a cross body but Garvin ducks and pulls the ropes down and Ricky goes flying out of the ring This brings out Lanny Poffo who everyone now knows is Macho’s brother Lanny looks like he is trying to help Steamboat back in but he also seems to be holding him back while the referee counts Steamboat all but throws him aside to get back into the ring before the 10-count We then get into the final series and Steamboat looks to be ready to finish as he goes up top… FLYING KARATE CHOP! Garvin is down but here comes Precious… she’s up on the apron! Steamboat is trying to get her to get down and now here comes Lanny who is doing the same Precious “drops” her purse in time for Garvin to pick it up and then WHACK Steamboat in the back of the head and he drops like a sack of potatoes Lanny finally pulls Precious down Garvin covers Steamboat for a very cheap victory The crowd then explodes when Randy Savage comes running out. His head still bandaged from the wounds. He is right in Garvin’s face and he is letting him have it. Lanny tries to get in the ring and stop him but Savage is irate and he pushes his brother aside. Savage grabs the purse of Precious and shows the referee a BRICK! The referee reverses the decision and awards the match to Steamboat via DQ. Lanny then picks up the purse… with the brick… and HE CRACKS SAVAGE! OMG! Garvin and Lanny shake hands and then hoist up Savage for another BRAINBUSTER! OMG! Here comes Steamboat as Garvin and Poffo escape… what in the hell has just happened here!?!?! {We then see officials and the ring crew come out to set up this monstrosity of a cage. It covers the entire ringside area. There is no roof. There is one door. We then hear the rules that one man from each team will start the contest. We will then see another person, drawn at random, to come down and enter the match. This will happen until all 10-men are inside the ring and then the first team to make an opponent submit or be pinned will be the victors! We then see this cool set up where there are these individual cages for the participants… we find out that the first two men to enter the ring will be Dan Spivey and Butch Reed. In the other eight small cages… almost like dog kennels… we see Bam Bam, Hall, the Road Warriors, Race, Orton, Slater, & Barb enter. The bell rings… and HERE WE GO! 10-Man Cage Match Bam Bam, Dan Spivey, Scott Hall, & The Road Warriors vs The Untouchables Brutality at its finest for this one with no punches being pulled. Reed and Spivey make the most of their three minutes and both men look to be in top form We see the first weapon introduced when Reed pulls out a wrench from under the ring and he cracks Spivey and busts him WIDE open! The timer is running down… we then see a spotlight….here comes… ROAD WARRIOR ANIMAL! The Road Warrior runs down and it is 2 on 1 but not looking good as Spivey looks to be in very rough shape Animal and Reed go through a nice series and Animal hits a huge POWERSLAM! Animal with a pair of big clotheslines and Reed goes out of the ring to the floor Animal tries to check on Spivey who is really busted open as he starts to get to his feet The timers runs down… here comes…THE BARBARIAN! Barb runs down to the ring and nails Animal from behind with a double ax handle smash Barb then grabs Spivey and RAMS him into the cage! Reed finally gets back up and now Barb and Reed double up on Animal They lift him up and bring him DOWN on the top rope on his throat and now the animal is in a bad way Spivey is trying to get back and he makes an effort but it is thwarted by Barb who looks like a monster right now The timer runs down and here comes… DICK SLATER! It is now a 3 on 2 shift for the Untouchables as Slater comes in and he goes right to work on Spivey and that cut is getting bigger and bigger Animal is able to throw some big rights and lefts but nothing else doing as the numbers game gets the best of him Animal gets thrown to the outside of the ring but it looks like he grabs something from under the ring… wait a second… a FIRE EXTINGUISHER! The spray is all over and the Untouchables are backed up The timer runs down… BAM BAM BIGELOW! Bammer runs down and he enters the ring to even up the odds and he is a man on fire Slater, Reed, and Barb all bump around for him and he yells out as Animal and him hit some double clotheslines The referees are checking on Spivey through the cage Bigelow picks up Barb for a back body drop over the ropes to the floor! The timer runs down… SCOTT HALL! Big Scott Hall runs down and now it is 3 on 3 with Spivey being plastered in the corner Hall checks in on him only for Reed to come from behind and take control Bam Bam and Dick Slater look to be throwing some potatoes at one another and by golly neither man is giving up an inch Barb ducks a clothesline from Animal and comes back with a boot outside the ring that just knocks him smack dab out The timer runs down… HARLEY RACE! The Windy City Champion comes down and he goes right after Bam Bam We see that Animal and Reed are now busted open Race then busts open Bam Bam while he and Slater just pound away at the big man Spivey then pushes the referees away and he comes with a clothesline but Barb is able to knock him away The timer is running down… who gets the final advantage…. BOB ORTON! Cowboy Bob runs down and he goes right to work on Animal with Butch Reed They are wearing the big guy down Barb is working over Hall Slater and Race are fighting with Bam Bam who is trying to fight back with everything he’s got Orton then goes under the ring and he pulls out a couple of chairs Orton goes to nail Animal with a chair but he ducks and Orton DESTROYS Reed! Orton turns around and here comes Scott Hall off the apron with a clothesline! Inside the ring… Slater is holding Bam Bam for a piledriver with Race but Animal knocks him off the ropes and then leaps himself for a huge shoulder block on Slater! The final timer goes off and here comes Road Warrior HAWK! The lights flash in the arena as it is now time for the Massacre to begin The first team to make the other submit or pin will be the winners Spivey is slowly making his way up Hawk with a couple of HUGE clotheslines that shake the foundations of the Untouchables As we approach the final moments… we see Bam Bam and Race in the middle of the ring and the crowd is ELECTRIC! They are going wild for these two who give them a couple of huge shots and share a taste of what this is going to be when it happens Outside the ring… Hawk picks up Dick Slater and Javelin throws him into the cage and now Slater is busted wide open Inside the ring… we see Bam Bam counter a piledriver from Race He then catches Harley with a huge POWERSLAM Bam Bam makes the sign… he’s going up top… Butch Reed makes one more effort to stop him but out of nowhere Danny Spivey comes with a boot right to the skull! Bigelow flies off with the diving headbutt! 1……2…….3!!!!! Bigelow, Spivey, Hall, and the Road Warriors are the winners! The crowd explodes as this carnage has set a new standard for Windy City. The fans are shocked as the cage gets raised up and we see the winners carry each other out of the ring to the back. Inside the ring… Race is helped up by Orton and Barb while Slater and Reed look worse for wear. Chaotic ending to the six man tag. Love to see it. Casey with his first successful defense. Rock n Roll vs Rockers ends in a double pin! How more even can you get? Precious' purse proves to much for Steamboat. But the real story is Lanny turning on his own brother. The 10 Man Massacre was amazing! spaldoni Posted October 22, 2022 Report Share Posted October 22, 2022 You can always count on Koko to get the crowd warmed up. Nasties vs. Badd Co. is a great thinking out of the box match up. Can't wait for more. Wild Bill and Black Bart have been great additions to the Jayhawks/Renegade's feud. I love how Scott Casey has really gotten over here. RnR and the Rockers tear the house down! Great booking on the finish that gets even better with the post match chair assault. This feud is awesome! Steamboat and Jimmy Jam give the fans a show. We get a major swerve with Lanny turning on his brother. This is getting good! The 10 man massacre was nothing short of epic! Your write up was so well done and easy to follow, which is hard to do with a match like this. I love the Spivey story and how he makes that last minute burst to help Bigelow take down Harley for the incredible win. You've worked wonders putting together this stacked roster. These are often hard to follow but you made it easy with all the bullet points. I thought the end to the RnR Express-Rockers match was great. So many of the matches on this card are feuds just getting going and to me, this is perfect 80's territory wrestling where you faced the same guys night after night. Slater was able to get the win with the help of the Untouchables. We also see a good tag team encounter with The Renegade Warriors defeated Black Bart & Bobby Jaggers via DQ and then Bill Irwin defeated Dutch Mantell. We also found out that on November the 4th… Windy City will be live from Zion, Illinois for Fire on the Mountain. The Main Event will be Bam Bam Bigelow challenging Harley Race for the Windy City Title. Plus we’ll see Wild Bill Irwin challenge Butch Reed for the Gateway Championship… along with the Road Warriors challenging Slater and Orton for the Tag titles… we’ll also see Bobby Jaggers try his hand against Scott Casey for the Chicago Street Fight Championship… and finally… a six-man tag… Jim Garvin and the Rockers take on Ricky Steamboat and the Rock N Roll Express! Windy City Wrestling #16 This episode of Windy City was a little more explosive with a main event consisting of Ricky Steamboat taking on Marty Jannetty. This one went the full 20-minutes and ended up in a six-man brawl. We also saw Orton and Slater defeat the Renegade Warriors while defending the Tag Titles. The Nasty Boys and Bad Company had another showdown ending in a double count out. One big segment took place with Lanny Poffo coming out and degrading his “former” brother Randy Savage. This then brought out Elizabeth. Joe Pedicino tried to keep her out of the ring but Lanny kept screaming at her. Ricky Steamboat came out for the save and helped her to the back. The other big segment was with Bam Bam defeated the Barbarian and then we saw the Untouchables get their revenge on Bigelow. They tied him in the ropes and Race smashed the title into his face. Two hard-hitting matches in the midcard as Irwin challenges Reed while Jaggers goes after Casey. That six man tag could very well steal the show. Huge heat segment by Lanny. The Poffo/Savage story is getting some serious momentum. Steamboat, RnR, Jimmy Jam, and the Rockers in one match! YES! Not only do you have some heated main event angles going, but your undercard is full of great stuff. Casey as the street fight champ, Jayhawks and Renegade Warriors, Nasties and Badd Co. LowBlowPodcast Posted November 5, 2022 Author Report Share Posted November 5, 2022 November 4th - Fire On the Mountain - Zion, Illinois Koko B Ware vs The Barbarian Koko gets us going with a big time challenge Barbarian is losing some steam but he still looks amazing out here Barb’s strength is unparalleled in the sort Koko does everything he can to keep the pace high The finish is out of nowhere…. Koko looks like he’s flying but Barb is countering Kko gets the upperhand and then goes up top and leaps It is a crossbody but Barb catches him… until Koko keeps the momentum going and rolls him up for a 3-count!! Koko has won it and the crowd pops! The Renegade Warriors vs Dutch & Black Bart Dutch Mantell may be the best worker in the company for his ability to keep the Renegade Warriors relevant The Warriors just don’t have much to bring to the table but Dutch and Bart get them some good heat We get a fun finish with Chris leaping up a tomahawk chop but Dutch counters it into a nasty spinebuster! 1….2….3! Dutch and Bart et a w here but these guys have a little more left in the tank. The Nasty Boys vs Bad Company Another interesting contest with these four guys The Nasty Boys almost get some love from the crowd Tanaka and Diamond then turd the tide and they’re getting some love from the fans This one ends up going into the aisle and all four men are throwing big bombs and not giving two shits The referee gets rocked with a back elbow by Knobbs which leads to Bad Company getting the DQ win but the fight is far from over! CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Bobby Jaggers vs Chicago Tough Scott Casey © Another good showcase for Casey who is showing he is double tough Jaggers comes out with the cowboy boots and even busts out the bullrope Scott Casey shows off some innovating weapon play The finish gets messy when Dutch and Bart run out They are attacking Casey but here comes The Renegade Warriors and they even up the odds Then out of nowhere… here comes Wild Bill with a cowbell and he DESTROYS Jaggers leading him into Scott Casey who hits a neckbreaker! 1……2…..3!!! Casey gets some help but he also gets the win! SIX-MAN TAG Ricky Steamboat & The Rock N Roll Express vs Jim Garvin & The Rockers A big time six-man tag… perhaps the biggest we’ve ever had These six-men put on an amazing 30-minute match that doesn’t take a second to slow down. The Rock N Roll gel so well with the Rockers and then the real shine comes with Steamboat and Michaels who get the crowd going wild Garvin and Precious play their role to a T and get some big time heat and play the cat being chased by the dog The Rock N Roll are able to hit a couple of big time double team moves and a pair of head scissor takedowns that leads to Steamboat with a double DEEP arm drag gets the crowd going WILD! The chaos ensues and we get all six-men in the ring The big highlight is seeing Marty Jannetty crossbody both of the Rock N Roll Express out of the ring to the floor Ricky Steamboat then nails Garvin with a HUGE dropkick and he goes down All of these men find a way in and around the ring as we get into a nice finish In the midst of the chaos, Robert Gibson gets NAILED with a double Super Kick! This leads Steamboat and Morton to take the Rockers out of the ring Here comes Garvin… he picks up Gibson and BRAINBUSTER for the 1…..2….3!!! We then cut to a special interview segment in which Joe Pedicino has Elizabeth in the ring. She says that Randy Savage is in the final stages of his return and he hopes to be back in Windy City for our next big show… Thanksgiving Night from Chicago! The fans enjoy the little pop but that turns to boos when we see security trying to hold him back… here he comes… Lanny Poffo! Lanny gets in the ring as security is flaking him… Pedicino has words with him. Lanny then goes on a tirade saying that Elizabeth is nothing but a gold digger! She has done nothing to help Randy Savage but more to RUIN his career! Lanny says he is Savage’s brother and he knows what is best for him. Elizabeth then has enough as she begins to cry. She tries to leave the ring but Lanny grabs her arm… Pedicino steps in and Poffo punches him right in the mouth! Oh my! Poffo then grabs Elizabeth by the arm and he’s screaming at her! We then see Rick Steamboat run out and security flanks Poffo who is escorted to the back with some MAJOR heat! WINDY CITY TAG CHAMPIONSHIP The Road Warriors vs Orton & Sater w/ Paul Jones Tag Titles on the line… Ironman blasting through the arena… here we go This one isn’t pretty… it is 12-minutes of hard shots and potatoes galore Dick Slater doesn’t appear to back down from Hawk and Animal as they really work him over Orton and Slater do get some control and get some heat on Animal only for him to build up and make the huge tag to Hawk who comes in like a house of fire. We see Slater and Orton try to stop these two but the momentum is just too much! Slater gets nailed with a huge boot to the face They set up Cowboy Bob…. Hawk goes up top for the DOOMSDAY DEVICE! 1…..2…..3!!!! WE HAVE NEW WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! The Road Warriors grab the belts and celebrate with the fans as they bring the titles back home to Chicago! GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP Wild Bill Irwin vs Butch Reed © w/ Paul Jones Reed looks to have a bit of worry on his face from the previous match Wild Bill comes out and he has got a lot of momentum right now These two go into a fun series for about 11-minutes Reed gets some heat only for Bill to come back Wild Bill looks like he might just get it here A couple of big clotheslines and then a huge suplex! Wild Bill makes the sign for the bulldog but wait a minute… Dutch Mantell is there grabbing his foot! Wild Bill turns his attention but this gives Reed a chance to come from behind with a knee and he crumbles down into the corner Reed picks him up for a big running SHOULDER BREAKER and then the 3-count! Reed retains the title by the skin of his teeth! WINDY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP Bam Bam Bigelow vs Harley Race © w/ Paul Jones Huge entrances for both men The crowd is electric right now for Bigelow These guys go 19-minutes and it is hard fought We see Harley get busted open from the ring post Bigelow is like a shark and smells blood Bigelow goes for broke with a huge diving headbutt… but Race moves! Race then takes over and is able to get control He works over the neck and head of Bigelow Race then sets it up and PILEDRIVER 1…..2……FOOT ON THE ROPE! Race was that close and he’s letting the referee have it! Race then tries to beat him down a little more but Bigelow steps back up and my gosh he has got a fire in him Bigelow gets into a series and the bloody Race is all but out of it. Here come Orton, Slater, Reed, and Barb…. But behind them come the Road Warriors! Here comes Spivey and Hall in their street clothes Paul Jones is trying to get involved but Spivey gets up and he NAILS Jones! Something flew out of Jones’ hand… Race grabs it… Bigelow picks up Race for a big powerslam… but Race slides off his back and he NAILS Bigelow right between the eyes with that object! 1……2……KICK OUT! Bigelow somehow kicked out! He is out on his feet but here comes Race and Bigelow with a huge back body drop over the top rope to the floor! Race lands on the apron and then Bigelow picks him up for a suplex but Paul Jones grabs the leg of Bigelow and Race lands on him and covers…. Scott Hall comes and nails Paul Jones and Bigelow kicks out! What is it going to take?!?! Race then goes for the piledriver one more time but Bigelow throws him over his back! Race grabs the object out of his tights and the referee sees him swing it but Bigelow ducks it into a back body drop and a pin The bell rings and the crowd goes wild! The Road Warriors, Spivey, and Hall all jump in the ring and celebrate Mike McGuirk then confers with the refere…. The winner… via DISQUALIFICATION…. Bam Bam Bigelow! Harley Race retains the title The fans are irate Bigelow can’t believe it The Untouchables are trying to escort Race to the back Bigelow comes and we’ve got a brawl in the aisle way and the fans are going nuts! Badd Company get the DQ win tonight but the Nasties aren't going away that easy. But of a clusterfuck in the Chicago Street Fight but Casey retains regardless. No surprise that six man stole the show. Making Elizabeth cry AND putting hands on her? Lanny is lucky he got out of there alive. The Road Warriors fulfil their destiny and become the NEW Windy City Tag Team Champions! Dirty Dutch pays Wild Bill back for earlier allowing Reed to hang onto the Gateway title. Mark Madness (Laurinatis) debuted and killed Bob Bradley with a behind the back lariat. Koko B Ware got a big win over The Moondog The Nasty Boys defeated the Patriots only for Bad Company to come out and destroy them with chairs! Spivey, Hall, & Bigelow defeated Butch Reed, Bob Orton, & Dick Slater We find out that Windy City returns to the Chicago Arena on Thursday the 24th for Thanksgiving Thunder with the Windy City Title on the line when Harley Race defends against Bam Bam Bigelow… in a NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH! Lanny Poffo was read the Riot Act by Joe Pedicino only for Poffo to punch his lights out in the middle of the ring Windy City Wrestling #18 Aurora, Illinois - Civic Center Saturday November 12th Our second episode began with a hot tag team match as the Rock N Roll Express defeated Bad Company when The Nasty Boys came out to distract Tanaka. The Nasty Boys then went nuts with chairs on Bad Company The Rockers cut a scathing promo on the Rock N Roll Express and talked about being the true number one contenders for the tag titles! Mark Madness killed the Conquistador with that nasty back of the head lariat! Kamala defeated Todd Champion Jimmy Garvin defeated Wild Bill via help from Dirty Dutch and company This led to a six-man brawl with Wild Bill and the Renegades vs Dutch, Bart, & Jaggers It is announced that on Thanksgiving Thunder we will see a six-man bunkhouse brawl between Irwin and the Renegades against Dutch, Bart, & Jaggers Harley Race led an attack on Bam Bam Bigelow during his match with the Barbarian Ricky Steamboat came out to make the save along with the Road Warriors and Dan Spivey! We got another interesting segment with Lanny Poffo as he started to berate Mike McGuirk and then out of nowhere…. Randy Savage showed up and chased him down only for security to escort Poffo out of the arena. Savage is escorted back The Rockers and Road Warriors went to a double DQ when Orton and Slater along with the Rock N Roll Express got involved. It was announced that these four teams will take part in a four-way elimination tag team match at Thanksgiving Thunder! Windy City Wrestling #19 Aurora, Illinois - Civic Center Saturday November 19th The last episode starts off hot… Randy Savage starts things off and he cuts a scathing promo on Lanny Poffo. He says they are no longer brothers but sworn enemies! A match has been signed for Thanksgiving Thunder but Savage doesn’t think that it will be enough and he can’t wait to get his hands on him! The Rock N Roll Express defeated Orton/Slater via DQ when the Rockers came out only for the Road Warriors to make the save Ricky Steamboat defeated the Barbarian but was when held up with Butch Reed beating him down. It is announced that Steamboat will challenged Reed at Thanksgiving Thunder for the Gateway Title Mark Madness killed Brad Batten via the hangman’s lariat as it is now being called Scott Casey defeated Sato in a Chicago Street Fight Championship match Kamala then attacked Casey and tried to eat the title Kamala and Casey for the Chicago Street Fight Championship is announced for Thanksgiving Thunder Harley Race & Jim Garvin defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and Dan Spivey via count out when the Untouchables got involved A huge brawl to end the show led to Bam Bam hitting a powerslam on Harley Race Race retreated out of the ring and Bigelow threw the title at him… Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Nasties/Badd Company feud got cranked up a couple notches. Nice seeing Steamboat join the anti-Untouchables coalition. Thanksgiving Thunder is stacked. All the title matches should rip. The Badd Co./Nasties feud has added a lot of spice to the tag division. Casey is having the run of his career in Windy City. I'm loving it. 6 man tag is an action packed roller coaster ride! Jimmy Jam gets the big shine with the brainbuster finish. Lanny is going nuts, but I think Savage is going to get insane! NEW Tag Champs!!! Road Warriors, from Chicago, it was meant to be. Props to Orton and Slater for a fun run. Reed's win helps ease the tag title loss. What a main event! Race proves he actually has a lot left in the tank. Bigelow proves he's a superstar. All sorts of chaos leads to a DQ. However, great set up to the big Thanksgiving show. TV's Mark Madness (LOL) is off and running. Everything is coming together for Thanksgiving Thunder. So many great feuds going on. Savage and Poffo are heading for an explosive showdown. Dream 4 corners tag title bout. Bunkhouse match, Street fight, Reed vs. Steamboat. Awesome stuff! LowBlowPodcast Posted November 25, 2022 Author Report Share Posted November 25, 2022 November 24 - Thanksgiving Night - St. Louis Koko B Ware vs Mark Madness Big time opener for Koko who is looking to keep on his streak Mark Madness looks like a monster out there and Koko sells with everything he’s got and makes him look great We get a pretty nasty moment when Madness catches Koko hitting a crossbody and then he tosses him over the ring ropes to the floor and he crashes into the barricade! Madness goes outside the ring and picks up Koko and drops him on the barricade and Koko is spitting up blood! The referee gets over there and has to call the match… this doesn’t look good for Koko who is taken to the back… Madness looks like a monster…who could stop this guy? SIX-MAN BUNKHOUSE BRAWL Wild Bill & The Renegade Warriors vs Dirty Dutch, Black Bart, & Bad Bobby Jaggers This one is messy… Everyone comes out in their bunkhouse clothes and the St. Louis crowd is cheering it on We get a couple of nasty shots around the ring with some belts and cowboy boots The wooden stairs are used and must be gimmicked as the Renegade Warriors double bodyslam Black Bart through them! Wild Bill then digs his belt buckle into Bobby Jagger’s head and blood is gushing Bill backs up…Jaggers stumbles to his feet and here comes Wild Bill with a bulldog! 1….2….3! Wild Bill and the Warriors get the win Dan Spivey vs The Barbarian w/ Paul Jones Big singles match with a little heat These two go at a slow pace for a couple of minutes but then all hell breaks loose It is a no sell, survive if they let you showdown In the end, it is Barb who goes for a big boot but Spivey ducks through… hits the ropes and then comes back with a boot and Barb is out on his feet Spivey picks him up and POWERBOMB! 1…..2….3!! Spivey is the winner and by golly he looks like he’s got all the momentum in the world right now. Scott Hall vs Jimmy Garvin w/ Precious Another good contest with Jimmy Jam, on the run of his life, looking stellar Scott Hall just never seemed to hit the ground running by himself He gives Garvin all he can handle but Jimmy has got other plans Precious plays here role to a T and ends up giving Garvin that damn hair spray again… Hall turns and he gets it right in his eyes! Garvin then rolls him up with a school boy and gets the 3-count! The fans aren’t happy about this one but Garvin looks like he’s on top of the mountain! CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Scott Casey © vs Kamala w/ Akbar This is an ugly contest Kamala is a monster here and he is putting Casey through the ringer Casey has got taped fists and he’s fighting with everything he’s got just to stay alive One of the big spots is when Casey explodes a wooden chair over Kamala’s head and the crowd comes alive! Kamala is able to fight back and he gets control over Casey and gets him busted open and looks to be using a chain on his forehead Kamala then goes for a bodyslam but Casey goes over his back and dropkicks him in the head! Kamala goes into the turnbuckle… Casey then picks him up for a back body drop and then a quick roll up for a 3-count! The crowd pops and Scott Casey once again reigns as the Chicago Street Fight Champion! GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP Ricky Steamboat v Butch Reed © w/ Paul Jones Perhaps the toughest test for Reed in his title run These guys go 20-minutes and Steamboat is putting him through the ringer but Reed’s strength is keeping him right there Reed is able to use his power to work over the back and neck of Steamboat Ricky fights back with a lot of gusto and is able to move-countermove against Reed On two different occasions, Reed retreats outside the ring…. But then on the third… Steamboat goes high in the air off the top rope with a karate chop and Reed goes down! The crowd is going nuts here Steamboat feels it… he is ready to finish him off… Steamboat tries to put Reed back in the ring but then Paul Jones comes from behind and grabs Steamboat. The referee has been counting this entire time… Reed is in the ring but Steamboat is being held outside the ring by Jones and then he nails Jones with a big right hand Jones goes down but grabs his foot The referee counts to 10! Reed has won the contest via count out! The fans are not happy with this one as Steamboat lays the boots to Jones Reed has the title and is slow to get up Steamboat off the top rope with a crossbody! Steamboat was that close… he wants the title… will he get another shot? WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 4 WAY - ELIMINATION MATCH The Road Warriors © vs The Rockers vs The Rock N Roll Express vs Orton & Slater The tag titles on the line in this very obscure contest The rules are that two people start via a coin toss… the rest of the teams are in their respective corners Anyone can be tagged at any time When a team is pin, submits, counted out, or dq’d they are eliminated Last team standing will be the winners FIRST FALL The first fall is clumsy with everyone around the ring and on the aprons Shawn Michaels and Road Warrior Hawk start things off For about 12-minutes we get some tags in and out among the teams Some highlights include the Rockers and Rock N Roll but then also the Rock N Roll and the Road Warriors The first elimination occurs when Animal hits a NASTY shoulder breaker on Bob Orton which leads to the 3-count! The Road Warriors have eliminated Orton and Slater! SECOND FALL The next fall has a faster pace and for 8-minutes we get things turned up to 10 The Rockers are using quick tags and almost teaming with the Road Warriors to wear down the Rock N Roll but Ricky and Robert aren’t having it The Express give everything they’ve got to fight back Marty Jannetty comes off the top rope with a cross body but Robert moves He tags in Ricky… the Road Warriors pull down Michaels and NAIL HIM! Ricky and Robert with the double dropkick on Marty Jannetty! 1…..2…..3!!! The Rock N Roll Express have eliminated the Rockers! FINAL FALL The Road Warriors v The Rock N Roll Express… ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! This one gets about 8-more minutes and it is a fun little contest but you can tell the Road Warriors are at their end Ricky and Robert push the pace and nail a couple of big double dropkicks to break the Warriors down but they won’t go out At the 30-minute mark… it looks like the Rock N Roll might actually take them down Ricky and Robert hit the ropes but Marty Jannetty is there to pull the rope down and Robert goes flying over and onto the floor Ricky then yells as the referee admonishes Jannetty… but here comes Michaels and SUPERKICK on Ricky and he is OUT! The Road Warriors miss everything but see that Ricky is down… Animal covers Ricky and gets the 1….2…..3! THE ROAD WARRIORS retain the Windy City Tag Titles!! Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Lanny Poffo This is one the fans have been waiting for Poffo comes out to some MAJOR heat and may be the most hated man in Windy City right now Savage comes out in a swank as hell purple robe with white tights and black stars and white boots. Elizabeth is in a gorgeous purple dress The pomp and circumstance is one thing but now it is time for a fight as the bell rings and Randy goes right after his brother! The punches and kicks look as real as can be Poffo goes outside the ring and plays mouse to Randy’s cat Lanny leaps back through the ropes and begins to stomp away at Savage These two don’t have the most scientific match but the fans just want to see an ass whooping. They only go about 12-minutes and it is all punches and kicks with little to no wrestling The big moment happens when Poffo hoists Savage up and nails a slingshot on the ropes Savage holds his throat while Poffo stomps away and then comes back with a PILEDRIVER! Randy is hurt… Poffo then goes outside the ring and grabs a chair… The referee tries to stop him but Poffo throws him aside! That may have been a DQ but we’re far from over Poffo NAILS Savage in the back with the chair once…. Twice… three times! Poffo then picks up Savage and puts him in the ropes… he’s tied up… We hear a scream… my gosh… that Jimmy Garvin and Precious… they have Elizabeth… Garvin and Precious bring her in the ring and now Poffo has his hands on Liz’ neck… Savage is kicking and screaming… Elizabeth begins to slap away at Poffo who just smiles Precious comes from behind and holds Liz while Garvin is holding Savage’s head… Poffo… he grabs the chair? Poffo is going to hit Elizabeth! The crowd pops when we see Rick Steamboat, Dan Spivey, and the Road Warriors run down! Poffo, Garvin, & Precious all leave the ringside area. Randy is helped out of the ropes by Steamboat He and Elizabeth hug… but then Savage jumps over the ropes and runs down the aisle way and he attacks POFFO AND GARVIN! We have got PURE ANARCHY in the aisle way as officials and agents come down… Spivey, Steamboat, and the Road Warriors try to help Garvin and Poffo make an exit but Savage is far from done! WINDY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP Bam Bam Bigelow vs Harley Race © w/ Paul Jones The fans have waited for it… the time is now… the bell rings… here we go! Bam Bam and Harley go nose to nose and share some words Bammer looks as focused as ever Harley gets things going as he tries to keep a slower pace to get things going Bam Bam is big on the strikes and shots and headbutts Harley sells so well and he really makes Bam Bam look like a star These guy just have a good solid match… nothing crazy for the first 20-minutes but the last five they turn it up Harley gets control of Bammer and starts really hammering on the neck and wearing him down A good false finish with a nasty brainbuster on Bigelow and a 2 count that is about as close as it gets! Bam Bam has to find a way… and he does… he fights back… he is coming with everything he’s got Harley cuts him off with a nasty forearm…. Then a PILEDRIVER! 1…..2……KICK OUT! Bam Bam is down and here comes Race with a knee right to the skull! Harley looks like he’s going up… he climbs to the top but Bam Bam gets up and he hits those ropes and Harley gets nutted! Bigelow shakes his head and then goes up… he grabs Race… SUPERPLEX!!! The ring shakes and the crowd explodes Both men are down for an 8 count… they get up and share some big shots Harley with a low kick and he goes for the Piledriver again but Bammer throws him over his back Harley feeds up and runs for a clothesline but Bigelow ducks and then a huge drop kick! Harley falls into the ropes and then comes again for a big swing but Bigelow ducks and turns him around…. Hoists Harley up…. RUNNING POWERSLAM!!! 1……..2……….3!!!! WE HAVE A NEW WINDY CITY CHAMPION! The crowd comes unglued! The fans are going wild! The referee picks up the bell… Mike McGuirk says… “And New Windy City Heavyweight Champion…. Bam Bam BIGELOW!!!” Here comes Spivey, Hall, the Road Warriors, the Renegade Warriors, Wild Bill, Scott Casey… they hoist Bigelow up high and he holds the belt above his head… what a moment for Windy City Wrestling… what a moment for Bam Bam Bigelow… Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wild Bill nets victory for him & the Warriors in a bloody Bunkhouse match. Spivey hitting the Powerbomb on Barbarian must've been quite the visual. Garvin never hesitates to take a shortcut if it leads to a win. Casey slays the monster Kamala. This title reign is doing wonders for him. Jones takes a few lumps but helps the Natural escape the Dragon. I would've lost my damn mind when I realized I was gonna see the Road Warriors take on the Rock n Roll Express. That & a successful defense makes a perfect ending to the tag title match. Randy makes his little brother look like a million bucks. Crazy ending with Garvin & Precious taking Elizabeth hostage. That would've gotten straight up nuclear heat. Bammer achieves the dream by defeating the Legend Race to become the new Windy City champion. Reed vs Steamboat would have been two of the biggest names in the business. Race letting Bigelow go over might signal a bit of the changing of the guard in Windy City. I will admit that Scott Casey going over Kamala surprised me a bit. I never thought the Cowboy character would work perfectly in Chicago. I saw Casey a few times in World Class and thought he did a great job of fighting the good fight but he was always in the shadows of the VonErichs. I could see him as a great fighter who never gives up and the Chicago crowd could give him some serious love after a big win like this. Was also shocked at Poffo putting a beating on Savage. I am sure this will be evened out during 88 and will be an awesome family feud that I can't wait to see more off. Awesome Thanksgiving card. Wild Bill's the star as he gets his team the satisfying win. Spivey looks like an absolute beast by power bombing Barbarian. Jimmy Jam gets the best heel heat. I've loved the push Casey is getting in WCPW but this win over Kamala puts him on another level. Reed vs. Steamboat is awesome booking. After that finish I hope we get a lot more. 4 top teams going at it. Gotta love it! The fans get a taste of a Road Warriors/RnR dream match. Rockers get nuclear heat by ruining it. Speaking of nuclear heat, Lanny gets just that! This feud is money! Can't wait for their next encounter. The question is who will survive? After a long and rough road, Bigelow finally does it and takes the title from Race. What a glorious moment. Bigelow can take Windy City to new levels.
