sek69 Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 This was reported first as being done off-air during Raw, and now it seems WWE is doing this at the houseshows this weekend as well. The lights go dark, the song plays briefly, and then everything goes back to normal like nothing happened. Fans are doing the Bray Wyatt firefly deal when it happens, but Karrion Kross acknowledged a tweet pointing out that was his Lucha Underground gimmick, Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 Grace Slick getting a lot of love in 2022 wrestling Quote
sek69 Posted September 19, 2022 Author Report Posted September 19, 2022 If you're talking about "Jane", she wasn't part of Jefferson Starship by that point. Quote
Coffey Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 Regardless of if it's for Bray Wyatt or not, it's pretty sweet. Quote
sek69 Posted September 19, 2022 Author Report Posted September 19, 2022 Yeah this one of the most interesting things they've done just for how un WWE it is. The company famous for beating you over the head with things doing an angle entirely via word of mouth on social media. Not gonna lie, if it is something Bray related I'm kind of interested in what his stuff will look like in this new world. Everything he did started off really interesting before petering out. Was it because Bray didn't really have any ideas other than how to kick off a new gimmick? Was it because Vince liked it and started fucking with it until it was trash? I wouldn't mind finding out. sek69 Posted September 19, 2022 Author Report Posted September 19, 2022 Having said that, someone on the WON board jokingly suggested it could end up with Nattie doing a goth Queen of Hearts gimmick and I laughed mightily. Quote

The Thread Killer Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 They were going to start playing the other Starship classic “We Built This City” but they didn’t want people to be injured when there was an inevitable stampede of fans trying to run screaming from the building with their hands over their ears, while sobbing in agony. KawadaSmile Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 Never really understood We Built This City being so loathed. I mean, y'all survived through AC/DC, shitty nu metal bands, but a sweet corny song is where the limits are set? But hey, WWE really should use more licensed music. Quote
The Thread Killer Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 If you are talking bad about AC/DC I am demanding @sek69 ban you. And then I am going to petition Bolsonaro to have you publicly flogged, and extradited here to Canada, where you will be forced to sit in snow while listening to Nickelback for 50 years. Quote

In the interviene with Ariel Helwani, HHH flat put said that Bray is constantly having new ideas, which was something he heavily praised but at the same time pointed as a reason for never really having a defined purpose or goal because Bray would go from one big idea to the next. Hunter implied he needed someone to make him focus and channel all that creative in a better way. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 Please, don't threaten me with a good time! Being in Canada, I mean. Quote

Yeah, it's not even the worst Starship song. Sara and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now are both worse. Quote
Coffey Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 How dare you besmirch the classic song from the Mannequin soundtrack! Quote
Embrodak Posted September 19, 2022 Report Posted September 19, 2022 Other than abusers/creeps like Velveteen Dream, or weirdo narcissists like Enzo, I can’t imagine anybody less appealing to bring back. Quote
sek69 Posted September 20, 2022 Author Report Posted September 20, 2022 The thing with Bray, is even if Hunter can get him to focus, the issue is it will still fall apart once he has a match. Quote
