WWE TV Megathread

That Rock segment made absolutely no sense if you actually watch the product.   First of all you have happy smiling babyface Rock pandering to the crowd.  Then you have him being all nice to Cody Rhodes and Cody acting like he being beaten to a bloody pulp never happened.   Maye this is a huge smokescreen for tonight

That was Corporate Dwayne, not the High Chief :( I hope they are swerving us and he beats someone's ass with a belt tonight.

They call him High Chief and he called himself that.

I think we're getting High Chief vs. Tribal Chief.

Michael Cole practically gave it away: "Only the High Chief is allowed to wear the ula fala."

Not sure if the Kevin Owens/Cody stuff was needed although if Solo would have won Owens being the one causing it would have been incredible.   Easily the best Solo match of his career.  More than deserved his place in the match

Eh, they were clearly trying to showcase the biggest players to the new Netflix audience. Cole having to explain who everyone is and their current angles was a prime example of that as well. It's kinda annoying but I feel like it's the smart thing to do as well.

That was a spectacular babyface promo by Cena. So cool to watch the whole crowd play along with it after so many years of him doing that type of promo and getting half boos just because.

The fans cheering Super Cena win one more world title at Wrestlemania is such a great send off.

Hogan getting booed still is hilarious.

Taker not getting booed is also hilarious. The amount of cognitive dissonance is amazing.

No Penta debut ? Really ?

Consensus seems to be quite underwhelming. Business as usual with a heavy dose of corporate masturbation. All of this on a ring splattered with adds for the Saudis. Yeah. Netflix era indeed.

Taker and Hulk have similar beliefs but Taker is less blatant pandering to them than Hogan.   I am sure he wanted to come out in that shirt he was showing all day long on social media but Triple H probably had to tell that it doesn't work for HIM brother.

Yeah with the exception of Punk vs Rollins this was almost an introduction to WWE show.  Which stinks for the 80% of the people who have watched RAW but oh well.

He literally made a video alongside Glen "I'm a piece of human trash" Jacobs and Donald Trump replying to Dave Bautista.

Also, him coming out to Kid Rock was the perfect MAGAmatch, if you will. But yeah, the only thing missing on this outfit was a Blue Lives Matter cap.

Also, Dana White is now part of Meta. These fucks are everywhere now.

I really enjoyed Raw. You can tell the crowd was mostly celebs and personalities so it wasn’t as cranked as usual but that’s too be expected though.

I know my buddy from Canada didn’t get any ad breaks at all which is cool for him. Also if you watch the replay in the states you can fast forward the ads so that’s awesome. Also the show is available to watch right after it ends which is also convenient. It’s very user friendly. I had no buffering issues. A few audio issues with Cole but that’s to be expected and not like I missed anything from it. Very pleasant experience. The ability to go straight to live with no buffer and pause the live feed without messing up anything was very awesome.

The actual show felt like a PLE. The Intuit Dome was a genius place to have the debut show just cause the tech in that building is amazing. Balmer built a beautiful stadium and did a great job with it. Too bad the clippers still play there. Lmao

I felt like they ended stories on Raw. After watching I really don’t think The rock comes back for a while. He got his pop he wanted and played company man. I just don’t see him getting involved cause he needs to work on his public image in Hollywood cause his last few movies have been stinkers so I think that’s his biggest interest now.

Cena promo was awesome. He is a master on the microphone and the way he pushed the Rumble as his lottery ticket was a great promo.

Rhea and Liv being over finally is great, Jey and Travis Scott was cool AF and seeing Travis light up a joint was my pop of the night. Then Jey in the after show saying that Travis didn’t pass so he could inhale was great. Tribal combat was fun as well but I’m glad Fatu got to showcase a little bit. Hopefully that story is done.

Punk/Rollins was excellent as the main event. That match would have been next to impossible to follow so it was the right call for the main event. Awesome match and Punks promo after the match giving a shout out dedicating it to Chris Bey and the other guy who has cancer was a class act on his part and then Punk delivering the fire promo was icing on the cake.

Say what you will but a motivated CM Punk really is one of the best to ever do it and it’s awesome we get to see him back where he belongs in WWE.

I have nothing bad to say. I completely enjoyed the show from start to finish. I mean anytime you make your weekly show that big of a deal that you feel like you watched a PLE. You can’t really be upset about anything.

As I feared, the RAW clips on Youtube (at least for the matches) are being clipped to hell, in some cases not even showing the ending (at least they did show the endings for Rhea/Liz and Punk/Rollins, but Jey/Drew was shown without the ending, and Tribal Combat cut the ending but did show the post-match for some reason.

I’m in the town where Kane is mayor and political beliefs aside. He actually is a good mayor. He helps the community and is involved. I haven’t had any bad interactions with him and neither have others that I know that have had dealings with him. You can be on separate sides of the aisle and not be a douche. Another thing about Kane that I’ve noticed especially living here. Every wrestler always speaks about how intelligent he is and how great of a worker he is, could it really be out of the realm of possibility that he is just working my town. I mean this state and town I’m from is a red state. It’s republican through and through  a democrat hasn’t won here since the 70s and won’t win here anytime soon. Maybe not even in my lifetime. I’ve had this theory and I stand by it that I think Kane saw this and knows this and just works everyone by being a republican. He knows it’s going to win and set him up for his life after wrestling. He still has a fan base especially around where he and I both live. So he doesn’t have to worry about being hated here. It’s possible that he is just working everyone or maybe he is a Republican but that isn’t a shock to me especially living here where if you believe in anything else you are an outsider and treated different. So who honestly knows we don’t know these people personally so who honestly knows what they believe or how they feel.

I’m not shocked about Taker getting cheers and Hogan getting boos.

It’s deeper than just a love for Trump and being MAGA. Hogan got a ton of heat rightfully so about his racist remarks. Taker for what’s been said is still seen as a good person and not a racist which goes a long way for people. Also Hogan has been called out many times for lying and just can’t stay out of his own way much like Flair. It’s to the point now that I don’t think people really care about either of them.

If Hogan was smart he would have come out as Hollywood Hogan and just cut a heel promo about taking over with Trump. That would have been the biggest and best heel promo of all time.
