They ran an Eddie Gilbert tribute at the 2300 and guess who was there ? Old Stinger indeed. Hopefully some of that ends up on their Youtube channel. That's pretty cool because it feels like Eddie Gilbert in Philly, which basically set the basis for what ECW was gonna become, is often overlooked/forgotten about.

Sting mentioned he wanted to be a part of it since Eddie was the first one to see something in him more than just a gimmick tag team guy. I'd wager that was probably a big part of him doing all  the stuff with Darby on his last run as a way of paying it forward.

Also it's being heavily rumored the Big Announcement on Dynamite is going to be women's tag titles finally debuting. Tony had the belts made a while ago and injuries kept derailing whatever plans he had for them.

Yeah, that's what fully expect. The multi-woman tags with identifiable tag teams lately (Penelope & Megan, Sky & Julia, TayJay) made it clear they were finally go into that direction. More matches and experience is better for everyone.

OC coming back is awesome. I sure have missed him.

I remember Meltzer mentioning a few weeks back that if Britt Baker wasn't at that show in her hometown, it pretty much would mean she's not coming back.

And Women tag titles it is. Long overdue, really, but all things considered, they come at a good time.

Loved the closing angle. Stat flipping off Mox was one bad-ass move. Yuta's bump was beautiful. It's nice when things take their time to build to something that is not evident (I was 50/50, although I kinda saw it coming still). Mox vs Darby I Quit will be yet another fucked up match. Say what you want about Mox, he's having a career year in term of actually delivering blood matches and meaningful ones to boot. Basically only Cope dragged his ass down to mediocrity (until Mox choose to get all fakir and shit)

Fun episode. Nothing fancy, just solid good wrestling all around. So cool to have Orange back. The tag team title match built nicely. GOA are improving, Leona has shitload of potentials still. FTR/Stokely heel pairing is really over-delivering. No idea where they go from there, although the quickest they move on from the Copeverse, the better.

Hey, where is Ace Austin ? Hopefully he's getting in the mix soon.

Fletcher vs Hologram ? I say yeah. I'm guessing Hologram is getting screwed by El Clon.

(seems like Tweets on screen are thankfully gone already. Well THANKS!)

If those All Out buys are true, this counter-programming thingy has been a miserable failure, including ESPN giving a shit evaluation to their *own* show. Maybe this ridiculousness will cease now, because WWE have been embarrassing themselves twice in a row now (I mean, with the counter-programming, not that they aren't embarrassing on the wider scale of course).

Meanwhile, Mina Shirakawa, Thekla, Julia Hart & Skye Blu are booked for the CMLL Grand Prix de Amazonas. The CMLL partnership is the gift that keeps on giving.

We know damn well that they will keep trying, no matter how unhelpful and counter-productive the counter-programming is.

Catching up on the TV. The Statlander-Yuta angle was done very well. This does mean that unless something drastic happens, Yuta is now firmly pigeonholed as a midcard guy, but not everyone can be in the main event.

Also really loving Hangman's presentation as the world champ. All Out doing as well as it did despite so many stars not being on the show is a testament to how over he is.

Oh I have no doubt they'll keep on doing it. They're that kind of people.

Exactly. I LOVE Yuta, and he's awesome in his role. But he's not someone you picture becoming a huge star, and that's ok. Although you never know, maybe at one point he does turn babyface (remember how over he was a few years ago being bullied by the BCC) and gets to the Orange/Eddie level of being beloved. But slimy Yuta who gets beat up by babyfaces is terrific.

And BTW, women tag titles and women Blood & Guts announced in the same week. Fucking awesome. Although you know the B&G is gonna drive some weirdo discourse about women and blood, but whatever. You know Queen Aminata is gonna fuck some bitch up and Skye Blu is wanna gonna do some real stupid shit (while Kyle going all Renee Paquette behind the screen).
