Jobber matches idgaf.

AEW TNT Title Match
Kevin Knight (c) vs. MJF

Great TNT Title match, it is odd to see MJF go for the TNT Title, but cool, this helped make the title and Knight feel more important, which is needed going into the Men's World Title, MJF tried to ground and injure the knee of Knight, I am sure a certain group of people will be very happy Knight did the lowblow, I thought it was fair enough, not against a face being above any form of cheating, but it is a good choice here, helps make Knight feel more confident about doing what needs to be done, despite being in a pure face team with Speedball.

AEW International Title Match
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Ace Austin

Fun little match, lets kill this title, but yay Ace Austin.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. RPG VICE

Despite not being much of a fan of the Cope/Cage tag team (they are not remotely nostalgic to me, their act generally bores me and I would rather see a younger team in their spot), however this was a fun tv tag match, RPG are good as rotten heels, if there was a midcard Tag Title in AEW, they would be the perfect tag team to have it (hell no, kill Continental, National, and International. The current World Titles and maybe the TV belts if they are defended more is the limit, so maybe RoH Tag Champs - again), C/C performed well here, they gave enough, and took control when needed, the brawl was a fun distraction too.

FTR and Ciampa would be a cool trios group more often, I personally like the current FTR stuff with Big Stoke.

AEW Women's World Tag Team Title Match
Divine Dominion (c) vs. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander

Great World Tag Title match,  nice to see Statlander stay featured and Shida coming back again, they have good chemistry despite them not having chemistry being the team gimmick lol, Divine Dominion is such a cool team, been a big Lena Kross for a while, they both have a great look and aura and can be champions for a long time in my book.

I am enjoying the storyline between Ospreay and Death Riders, I did laugh when Mox was playing with PAC's chest, made him look really goofy and funny.

AEW World Title Match
Darby Allin (c) vs. Brody King

Great World Title match, am enjoying the Darby Allin reign so far even if he was not someone I really wanted to see as champion he is having a good reign, and they went out and had a strong match, some cool and unexpected spots like the barrcade breaking loose. I would say this feels more like how I would book the TV Titles though, for me I think about 8-10 defences per year per World Title is about right, you would still get the occational World Title matches on TV, as that would be 32-40 World Title matches overall (Men's and Women's, Singles and Tags) most on ppv. Trios would be the exception, that would be more of a party title, and kinda the Men's Tag tv title equivilant. The World Title matches would be rarer and feel like a major deal to get a challenge, which is kinda the case, but yeah would be good if it was more strict.

But great ep overall

I assume the plan is C+C winning the title then having the matches against the Bucks, MCMG, JetSpeed and whoever else before losing them around All Out time. I really don’t have an issue with that side of it

Add The New Day to this list

Nah, I'm good. 😎

Cope & Cage vs New Day in AEW is like, ewwww. What the fuck is this ? TNA ?

That being said, if they get MCMG and "New Day" and throw them with E&C, FTR and YB at All In.... ya know... There's definitely a WTF effect and a big finger to WWE's non-existent tag scene.

Also, seeing all the AEW talent already reacting to this, well... Hope they prove me wrong.

You are insane El-P.

Xavier and Kofi are the easiest layup for a promotion. You just give them time and they'll get over in whatever role you give them, they can work in any position in the card without any drama and they can move merch like crazy. They also have nostalgia going for them AND the novelty of working outside of the WWE bubble after 2 decades.

They've also shown they can have dope tag matches in WWE's fucked up tag team context (where they fucking hate to let tags shine, specially in terms of in ring performances) so I'm pretty sure they can do well with AEW's freedom and sick roster.

They don't need to be super workers to make shit entertaining for AEW.

Yeah, just being so blanket Anti-WWE guys isn’t the way to go. Kofi and Xavier have a ton to give and I find it hard to believe that they wont be debuting at Double or Nothing

I don't give a flying fuck about WWE nostalgia and I don't watch AEW for this. *Especially* not for this actually. For the rest, it remains to be seen. There has been too many instances of ex-WWE people, especially those who have been there for most of their career, not working out in AEW for me to think they automatically will deliver. And there's way too many people on the roster I'm already interested in that already don't get enough time...

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. If they managed to trick people into thinking the Usos were actually worth a shit as workers, maybe they are worth the try.

And yeah, considering the reactions online from AEW people (Cash, Ricochet, MJF, not to mention this old YB Twitter bio people are reposting), I would be shocked if they would not get signed. We'll see how that goes.

They addressed the Rebel situation in Collision. That was nice. But damn, this is sad.

With Collision becoming such a consistant show in term of throwing really coo, excellent matches together, it's almost surreal to think back when it began as CM Punk Isolation show announced by Kevin Kelly. Time flies.

With Colten Gunn returning (and it's eerie now how much he looks and sounds like his father), and the Gun Club having a beef with the Deathriders, and the Dogs being sorta allied with Mox's crew, how long before Jay White returns and we get the inevitable White / Finlay confrontation ? That has to happen.

Anna Jay, well, I dunno if that is the end of the road for her but she looked like her old self... I'll always have a soft spot for her either way, mostly thanks to the Dark Order days and those hilarious vignette backstage with Brodie Lee, John Silver, the bullying of Alan Angels and basically Anna trying her best not to corpse.

Jack Perry vs Mascara Dorada was great. Dorada is quickly getting used to the US TV kind match and adapting his game too. Perry has just been killing it since his return as a babyface. This post CM Punk drama stint as a heel certainly was a learning experience for him, and I did enjoy the Raven-like work, but he's 200% better as this babyface.

On the other hand, Hook is most certainly better as a heel.... but yeah, still looks rough in spots. He's a guy who would benefit so much from spending 6 months to a year in Japan. Train at the dojo, do all the tours and come back a a much better worker and a big star.

I know this really doesn't fit AEW business model right now, but since they are overflowing with talent, they really should install this expedition system with their partners. Send people in NJPW, CMLL, RevPro. Have them learn. Come back as bigger stars and better workers. This would be 100% much better than a Performance Center bullshit too.

The fact they did a recap of the Mox/Ospreay angle on Collision almost feels like some well deserved Brian Alvarez trolling. Got a kick out of that one.

ALSO : Wheeler hitting a Muta scale bladejob on Collision for, reasons, is awesome.

ALSO : Hikaru Shida, toxic friend, is her best character version yet.

I agree with this 1000%

Imagine what 6 months in Stardom could do for Julia Hart and Skye Blue

Yeah ! Anna Jay doing one tour with Stardom and for a (short) while she looked better than she did before. Even Ospreay acknowledged it, noticing her footing placement and confidence was better. But even 6 months, night in, night out ? It would be a game changer for these talents. Reps in front of different crowds. That's the thing Japanese and Mexican talents have over US talents, especially those who don't work indies.

While I do agree, and she probs did improve a bit, personally I think she is someone not worth resigning, they did give her a mini push after 5Star GP, but she didn't have a great run in that tournament.

But yeah tours in companies that would have them, would always be a benefit, maybe house shows again. But yeah, make it clear to the roster, esp younger inexperienced roster members they should find reps where possible and those that do (and improve ideally), will be looked upon favourably.

Yeah, really fun episode of Collision. I do think There should be a Death Riders tag team at this point, whether it is Yuta/Garcia, one of them two with Pac, or Claudio, or Claudio and PAC would be a great addition to the Tag division.

Mox getting cheered in Death Riders matches is starting to remind me of the Rock getting cheered when he was still in the Nation.
