hammerva
When it comes to ladder wars involving Kevin Owens/Steen, you know it is going to be insanely violent, and this one didn't disappoint at all for me
hammerva
Penta vs Rey in your Lucha Underground appreciation match of the night Yeah Penta definitely had 2 feet on the floor. At least he was smart enough to know immediately he fucked up. And then Rey almost kills himself
C.S.
Did Penta's feet touch the floor?

hammerva
Damn it we needed #8 to be Jacob Fatu after watching Bron just destroy people So the first elimination of the men's and women's matches was Carmelo Hayes and B-Fab. Triple H ain't never beating those allegations at this rate 😄
strobogo
Fascinated with WWE being so hot and doing John Mellencamp cameo followed by a video package by Papa Roach with a feud over a title belt not used for nearly 30 years. And also direct reference to dirt sheets like it is 1995.
hammerva
Roman Reigns and Joe Hendry in the same ring together. Miracles do happen
strobogo
Also in all the reference heavy shit, Wade really drops a Reno from 2000 WCW reference in the title match.

C.S.
I'm not a Yeet Fan, but I love that we finally got an unpredictable finish for maybe the first time in Rumble history outside of the Russo "it's a swerve, bro" years.
hammerva
Cena still has the Elimination Chamber and they have basically guaranteed he will be there. Winner of chamber facing Cody. Now we are probably getting Jey vs Gunther with Jey finally getting that big singles win. Also looks like we are either getting Rollins vs Reigns or Rollins vs Reigns vs Punk. The Thread Killer
I know he hasn’t wrestled in ages, but it was hard not to notice that Cena looked pretty rough in there, as well. He’s definitely starting to look his age, and I don’t know if he can really hang in a Wrestlemania Main Event. Then again, Uso is not really anything to write home about either, and he hasn’t been inactive for ages like Cena. I can only assume we are going to see all sorts of shifts in creative between now and Wrestlemania. It’s not like they are going to give us Gunther vs. Uso again, and I can’t see Cody vs. Uso either, really. Also, did tonight signify a full-blown heel turn for Rollins? It kind of came off that way. KawadaSmile
Rumble winner Jey Uso. What a year. Also no shit the biggest Ric Flair fanboy ever would book Charlotte to win after who knows how long she's been absent.
strobogo
This men's rumble feels the closest to 1993 rumble of such a mix of eras. 1993 was the last gasp of territory era, this rumble is multiple gens of ROH and TNA guys, mixed with Cena and all the Samoans that go back to the 70s. And then youtubers.
strobogo
Imagine a timeline where a Wild Samoan or Headshrinker could be so over to win a rumble over Hogan in like 1997.
Jmare007
I thought the men's Rumble was the best booked one in a long ass time (except the in ring action, though my first guess is that's more on the wrestlers than on the booking). Pretty cool message that Jey is the one that ends up winning in such a star studded match. 1 hour ago, C.S. said: I'm not a Yeet Fan, but I love that we finally got an unpredictable finish for maybe the first time in Rumble history outside of the Russo "it's a swerve, bro" years. I honestly can't remember if Nakamura winning was an unpredictable surprise but I for sure remember Sheamus and Jericho being the last two, with Fella winning was a big shocker. strobogo
Lobster Head and Miz still being around has to be the same feeling as Tito and Valentine in 1992 Rumble but actually they've been around longer
strobogo
Probably best men's rumble in ages. Multiple gens of indies and WWE history mixing it up. Surprise winner. This is a Rumble where you get Roman Reigns doing spots with the current TNA champ, but also AJ/Punk interaction like it is 2003.
The Thread Killer
Overall, I thought this was a great show and both Rumbles definitely delivered.

I'll give you Fella - that was a surprise for sure - but I don't remember Nakamura winning being any kind of real shocker.
