  1. Then I have your team penciled in. Tully & David are going to have quite the night against the Canadians.
  2. Here is a question to start shit: Which roster is the most capable of going national? Right now I would say AWA but that's dependent on whether they can feed the Road Warriors enough to keep them growing.
  3. That's fine. Tully is fairly busy in Southwest for the first 6 months or so anyway so I couldn't really spare him for more than a couple dates until I get his first big feud done.
  4. Duggan eats a lot and needs to be fed new heels. Saito needs to stretch his legs sometimes and needs to travel and everyone gets sick of Tully being in the locker room so Joe needs to send his son out to calm things down for a week or two every once in a while. I am always open to working out almost any deal that doesn't see me lose The Fabs or Duggan for more than a week or two at a time.
  5. I do not know if that is a backhanded compliment Southwest was not very good except a couple bright spots here and there. Felt like an easy "I could do better than THAT!" territory. Plus it has Tully & it's Texas.
  6. I am just glad someone else is doing a tag team heavy promotion. I definitely would like to get your Tongan team in for a run against The Fabs later...or Kinga Tonga & Mr. Saito seems like instant death team now that I think of that combo. And somehow I keep forgetting you have The Midnights.
  7. Flyin' Brian dedhemingway dedhemingway Flyin' Brian I hope they are on at the same time that could go quickly.
  8. Was wondering how long it would take until we got to the Leo Burkes and Ron Starrs of the draft. While updating the rosters thread I decided to rank the top 5 rosters I would want to watch. Mine is not actually included in that. This is totally subjective, not ranking of "the best" and may solely be down to one or two personal favorites being on the roster. Georgia Portland Memphis JCP Stampede
  9. I did not do *via trades or anything like that in this thread, solely highlighted special sharing agreements. If I missed one of those let me know. Not just a few dates here and there though, something like the 50/50 split for Jody Hamilton.
  10. This is current right now. As of this moment in time and space.
  11. I think mathematically it works out to around 24 people per person so at least there is no worry about round thirty.
  12. I have to say that one of the things I'm looking forward to with this project is that I will be booking to a "big" show every week instead of building towards PPVs the way I do in my TEW game. I always thought it would be more fun to do the Memphis style booking where you can hotshot an angle and just get 1 big main event out of it and move on and not have to try and sustain momentum for something through 4 or 8 weeks. It's a little change from the way Southwest actually ran, but they did do a San Antonio show every week, at least as far as I can tell. My arena shows will still be a little sleepy and dull in typical Southwest fashion to get things started but eventually I hope I can get a real revolving door of opponents coming in and out for Duggan, The Fabs and maybe even Tully that would let me do a lot of quick 2-3 week programs that I can keep the heat on the whole time.
  13. I PM'd you two ideas. I don't know your exact requirements so they were a bit different. I think I know who this is too. I think he's getting hurt by hindsight if it's same guy.

  15. This guy was The Great Kabuki. I kept thinking about taking him. I kept having some person who I talk to on Classics ask me if I drafted Kabuki yet. But I didn't know what the hell to do with him. There was a vague outline of having an odd couple team with Saito with one of them going babyface. I already saw Kabuki do it and it worked shockingly well. Saito...it would have been fun to think about making him babyface against that fucker Kabuki who spit mist on his eyes. But in the end I just had bigger plans for other people.
  16. Joe Blanchard apologizes for his oversight to this matter. He would like to know if the WWA is still planning to send a representative? Southwest Championship Wrestling would also love to have Bret Hart & Davey Boy Smith compete in Southwest tag title tournament. Would Stu Hart have a problem with them losing in the opening round of the tournament to Tully Blanchard & David Von Erich? If that is a problem they could face The Fabulous Rougeaus who are in from Montreal, or The Assassins (Assassin #2 yet to be determined)
  17. In an offer of good faith, Joe Blanchard had offered to give WCCW the first 3 weeks of David Von Erich to them to use for very little to nothing in return. Fritz Von Erich has ignored this offer just as he ignored the apology for Southwest running the highly successful opposition shows in Ft. Worth. In response to this, Southwest Championship Wrestling would like to announce that David Von Erich is available from July 1st - July 26th (with the exception of a July 4th show where he will be working for Central States in the Missouri State Title Tournament) He can be used for 1 show or you can take him for the total of the 3 weeks (except July 4th). I will accept future dates for someone else in return for the use of David Von Erich. Ideal people to send me would be foreign menace types for Jim Duggan. Joe Blanchard and Southwest Championship Wrestling are proud as peacocks to announce that the hatchet with Fritz Von Erich and WCCW has been buried. Fritz didn't exactly acknowledge our apology, but he did accept our offer of David Von Erich for the first 3 weeks of July. To us this is a complete burying of the hatchet for all past, and perhaps any future, wrongdoings that may occur between The Blanchard & Von Erich families. This is a great day for Texas wrestling and be sure to keep an eye on Southwest Championship Wrestling's flagship television show titled 'Southwest Championship Wrestling' where soon you can see the two dynasties of Texas merge when David Von Erich & Tully Blanchard finally compete in the same ring! (This does not effect David's agreement to work the Missouri Title Tournament. He will still be there for Central States)
  18. You pretty much have (and I am not giving anything away anyone who knows Central States knows these were there guys) Rufus R. Jones & Bulldog Bob Brown as your two big Central States names. After that it's kind of a revolving door of young guys, guys who were pretty shitty and uhh I think that might cover it?
  19. http://www.kayfabememories.com/Regions/ It can be hit and miss and searching by year is not really possible but if you find the right territory that actually got a good writer you can gain a lot of insight. I didn't link straight to Central States because it can be useful for anyone wanting the same thing. Beyond that, perhaps searching for threads on Central States on wrestlingclassics. Googling "Central States wrestlingclassics" should give you some stuff on that front.
  20. I think these picks might start getting more painful than the bigger names. The person you thought might just be in your mind alone and allowed yourself to create big stories and long plans for.
  21. (Boon's pick was via trade with JHawk) Jesse Ewiak RocketCrypt Grimmas Flyin' Brian
  22. I almost feel like I could pull any obscure name off the list that I don't know and bring him up in here and someone would get nervous about their "dark horse" getting attention. Not that Phil LaFon is obscure at all. But multiple people having plans for Johnny Rodz is telling of where we are headed now.
  23. I need to see some early Phil LaFon I guess? dawho seemed to put a lot of stock in getting him, you wanted him and he was recommended to me by someone as a dark horse late pick (although I suspected dawho with Montreal to take him way before I would) At this point I have no idea what a dark horse for this thing is. I guess just the people that NONE of us know outside of "I think that's a jobber?"
  24. The man has his style and I am simply his representative.
  25. Joe Blanchard is not an NWA member and thus is not coming to any meetings at all. He also takes offense to your insinuation seeing as he has been more on guard against any THEORETICAL expansion from the WWF than anyone. Joe is also a little miffed that WCCW never officially accepted his apology for running in Ft. Worth. Those 35 people at the last show would have stuck around for more. Southwest Championship Wrestling COULD come back!
