  1. Well see how things play out and if you don't see Mando in your plans on final roster keep Southwest Championship Wrestling in mind as a place to send him.
  2. I am not sure if Hector could pull off his 87-88 character work from Memphis & USA Championship in 1983. I still like him as a pick though. There goes my backup Guerreros Dylan I might get more out of Mando on his own than you could so maybe we could work something out if you have real buyer's remorse. Although he may have more value to Beast.
  3. Southwest Championship Wrestling would love to have Jim Duggan or The Fabulous Ones featured on Georgia Championship Wrestling or on Omni shows. Jim Duggan makes a great Butch Reed tag team partner (or opponent)
  4. Yea but this is you being in complete control of when someone is and isn't "injured." The idea is to create a mechanism where someone could get an actual injury, like "We rolled the dice and Bob Armstrong dropped some weights while working out at home and had to go out for a while and get facial reconstruction surgery." And then Bob is totally out, not just in someone else's territory on a trade or in Japan.
  5. Ok but same principle then. You make the Brody date 3 months in advance with the guy handling the November booking. You guys are doing talent trades frequently and he says "sure I don't run a Thanksgiving show anyway, you can have him" Then in October, someone goes "Oh shit I don't have a main event for my Thanksgiving show. Brody is somewhere else but maybe I can sweet talk the promoter into changing it and give him to my territory instead if I offer my top star and my top tag team for his next big show."
  6. As for expansion and war, I think it's kind of silly in this scenario honestly. There is no way to gauge attendance and do the dirty tricks like buying arena rights & time slots that went into those things. But if enough people wanted to try and work it in, you could have some type of vote based on the cards being advertised, like which would you rather pay to see type thing. The loser might have to face some kind of penalty in the next draft after the territory battle.
  7. Southwest absolutely wants a turn controlling the freelancers. Here is another thing to consider with that. If we are changing the handlers of freelancers every month, it's possible you could make a date with one promoter in September to give you Bruiser Brody in November for your big Thanksgiving show. But in November someone else is handling the freelancers and he might decide to have Brody no show your card to go to his. Or to someone else who offered him something he couldn't refuse. It's just a thought. If people don't want to add that kind of dynamic and just go straight fantasy booking that's cool too.
  8. Now I understand why JVK is so worried about his outside markets, he's going to get run out of New York with his plans.
  9. I can try to make a post at the bottom but I can't edit the list.
  10. I love you JerryvonKramer. Still the #1 drafter in my heart. Couldn't figure out how to make Robinson work in Southwest and never put his name on my list.
  11. Current as of Crossface's pick of Iceman Parsons in the 6th round. If you see a mistake let me know.
  12. I was contented not getting Killer Khan knowing that The Assassin Jody Hamilton would give me more value.
  13. Southwest Championship Wrestling would be thrilled to have The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers compete in it's Southwest Tag Team Title tournament, and we can guarantee that they will be placed into a semi-final match against the winning heel team and will look good on the finish. I still have 3 spots left and will NOT make any substitutions once they are full.
  14. In the spirit of dedhemingway's post, Southwest Championship Wrestling is planning a one night 8 team tournament for the Southwest Tag Team Championships on Friday, July 29th in San Antonio at The Freeman Coliseum. I have up to 4 slots available for tag teams from any promotion around North America that wants to send in talent. The finals are going to have to be 2 of my own teams due to storyline reasons but other than that I'm open to negotiations on finishes.
  15. Joe Blanchard would like to make it known that Tully Blanchard and/or Mr. Saito are available for the Missouri Heavyweight Title Tournament provided they make it into the semi-finals. A draw in the 1st round would also be acceptable. In the case of a draw, Tully or Saito would be available to come back and wrestle a one-shot against whoever they drew against. Jobbing would be permitted as long as the match was at least the semi-main event match in the biggest town of your loop. All this is gratis, you just provide trans, hotel & pay - first class on all three. If you want them to work TV on top, that would maybe need to involve someone working for me.
  16. He is draftable. For some reason he isn't in the pinned thread but he was in KrisZ's thread. He was just kind of floating around but he was active and he can be drafted.
  17. Central States has found Joe Blanchard to be fair and honest in his dealings. Joe would like everyone to know that Tully can still be had for outside dates starting in October. There is only so long that Joe can keep the locker room from killing his son and likes to give him a week or two out of the territory every 3 months or so.
  18. If you were using the pinned thread he wasn't listed as taken so it's an honest mistake. Boon is up next followed by JHawk
  19. Man you AWA guys have a built in partner/feud thing with Mr Olympia and Ken Patera. I bet you didn't even think about that when picking Stubbs.
  20. This is up to date as best I can tell. If it isn't the complain in the post that you write after this one.
  21. The only person who can update the pinned thread is too busy looking at maps and planning expansions to update it. Joe Blanchard however doesn't even know how to read a map but he can edit posts like a true champion.
  22. Well Adrian Adonis going for the 2nd time was our last pick of the night. That's pretty lame. I kind of feel like it should just go on until he realizes his mistake and makes a different pick but whatever I wouldn't pick before I go to sleep anyway. Also think JVK's thread should be changed so more people are given access to editing it because I suspect that's part of the issue that the pinned thread is not being updated. The "everyones rosters in one" thread is current as of the last pick.
  23. Was flirting with the idea of Killer Khan teaming with Mr. Saito. I am somewhat relieved he was picked actually because that probably wouldn't work. I definitely think overall Jerry Stubbs has way more value in this. Killer Khan is tough to keep fresh while Stubbs is easy as hell to refresh.
  24. Mr. Olympia (Jerry Stubbs) to AWA in the 6th - Great pick. Very versatile guy. Can work all over the card, very good in tags, heel or a face, with the mask or without it.
  25. If it comes to it, is there anyone else you want to make your pick for you? I see Jesse is after you and he's still around so we might get some more picks done thru the night. I'll send you a list of my next two guys, if he doesn't pick soon. Ok. I could be wrong but I think he's around. Suppose he and rainmaker are just trying to figure out what to do after Brunzell went off the board.
