  1. Joe Blanchard would also like to remind the currently annoyed WWF that it was Joe who argued more strongly than anyone that the WWF should retain the rights to Andre the Giant.
  2. I can help you with that in PMs if you want? I went through an extensive search of the white bread young babyfaces of 1983 that I wanted to turn heel until I realized Eddie Gilbert could still fit at this point in his career. I'm not looking for anyone in that category for myself now.
  3. Southwest Championship Wrestling would like to extend it's hand in friendship towards the WWF and call an end to the tensions of these past few days. Joe Blanchard has been convinced now that the rumors of an impending wrestling war are not credible.
  4. I'm not your favorite person but I am still willing to work out a Mando deal some kinda way although I don't have anyone that fits Portland. Maybe a pair of draft picks?
  5. Not everyone is equally likely to get over in all territories though is what some of this discussion is about. But I won't keep digging.
  6. If you had filled your roster with Central States regulars, you'd be screwed. So it's not quite fair to judge you, WWA or All Star in Vancouver by the same metrics.
  7. Perfect for Mid South. Yea right now as far as "perfect fits" I would say Mid-South & Southeastern are the closest to what an actual roster would look like. Georgia too actually.
  8. Ok. Will leave you alone now.
  9. Oh don't get upset JVK. I can try and see if I can come up with any hot stories for you once you have your final roster. It's not personal.
  10. I saw your WWF in 1983 thread. Your booking relies heavily on names for the sake of names. Waldo Von Erich in a MSG main event in 83?
  11. You're doing good I would definitely agree. When I updated the rosters thread I was like "damn this is good looking Mid-South"
  12. That's because some people have a strategy other than "uhh I need a big name because I don't have any angles that can draw and thus have to rely on old names" And I love Ernie but he is old and done in 1983.
  13. Oh and Boon I have loved your very true to Southeastern draft so far but I am not sure on Mike Rotunda. I don't know if he would have fit there even as just a white meat babyface. I know he wasn't your first choice though.
  14. El Boricua is doing a fantastic job getting everyone's "No way anyone will want this guy before I get him" picks like Johnny Rodz for you guys and Bob Sweetan for me.
  15. Wrestingdata.com says he's back in Memphis on August, 1st. http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bilanzen&wrestler=78&jahr=1983&monat=8
  16. I have been trying to draft by guys I had ideas for the whole time. With maybe the exception of Duggan, who I took because I was worried about missing out on getting a top babyface. I had big plans for David and traded to get him when I missed him by 1 pick. Had big plans for Eddie Gilbert and am thrilled I get to do them with him and not a backup. Super stoked I got The Assassin because he plays a big part in my Fabs plans. Tully is one of the easiest guys I could think of to book so he really takes care of himself. Now it's just getting the pieces for my last big plan.
  17. The Everyones Roster Here thread is updated as of Dylan's last pick. Please check for accuracy. Also Boricua denied my attempt to use our picks together to share a team in that round saying that the team he wanted was not on my list and was a very big factor into his plans. So Johnny Rodz is surely going to be more happy in Puerto Rico than he would have been in WWF.
  18. I had a slightly more detailed plan that had me taking Luke and someone else taking Boyd but that's gone now. Oh well, Fabs & Sheepheders was done to death.
  19. Ok so do we let Wahoos re-pick based on that info or make him stick with Luke? EDIT: Nevermind then.
  20. We gotta hold up here and wait on KrisZ. He said Butch wasn't draftable because he wasn't wrestling in the U.S. at the time, he was back in New Zealand.
  21. You can't take Butch. He's not listed because he was in New Zealand at the time.
  22. I am super happy now that I got The Assassin back in my plans. Having to share him with Boon is perfect because The Assassin and whoever he puts under the #2 mask are going to be the constant in and out threats to The Fabs.
  23. Joe Blanchard would like to announce that he has immediately traded Tom Prichard to Southeastern Championship Wrestling in return for The Flame going to Southwest with Southeastern retaining a right to use The Flame for up to 50% of the period of his contract.
  24. Southwest Championship Wrestling gleefully selects Tom Prichard (with following information in the trade thread) El Boricua is up next
  25. Joe Blanchard makes an empty threat of going to sleep here.
