  1. But I always hated that about my TEW games. I usually turned random deaths off and followed the actual time line as far as not hiring guys after they were dead IRL.
  2. No. I didn't want people to not understand what it's about so I posted the exact reason just above your post.
  3. I'm sorry it upset you when I told you about my plans that I couldn't do that included having David Von Erich lose a "Loser must leave Texas" match to Tully ending their long feud right before his February tour.
  4. Well I didn't get him so it doesn't matter.
  5. You don't have to draft him then.
  6. Yea they are on complete opposite sides of this. I'll let someone else handle mediation this time. I already handled the Battle of Ohio.
  7. This escalated past where I expected so I don't really care anymore.
  8. So then no one ever dies in this game? Because random deaths would be worse.
  9. You can only work within established rule sets. There's no perfect solution.
  10. I don't think there is any more of less of an "oracle" aspect to it than the way guys get drafted higher (or lower) than actual July 1983 status based on what we know happens in the future.
  11. Same thing with Japan tours. Guys went to Japan because they made more money over there, but since there is no realism factor regarding finances, why can't we just say that Dick Murdoch decided not to go to Japan because Bill Watts paid him enough money not to.
  12. Well why can't I offer Gino Hernandez or Terry Funk a bunch of money to come back early? I mean they do eventually come back.
  13. Why bother paying attention to retirements then? Obviously you could just offer someone a bunch of money to not retire. Anyone already retired should be eligible to come back.
  14. Is it more or less strange than someone seeing that 2 rookies in their first month of professional wrestling, after maybe 2 or 3 televised appearances are going to be one of the hottest acts of the 80s?
  15. I have no idea how to do that with random number generators but surely someone does. They do it in TEW just fine and always right after I book out a long plan.
  16. Southwest Championship Wrestling is offering time on it's cable TV program shown on the USA Network on Sunday mornings at 11 A.M. at half the price of the earlier ad. This special is to capitalize on the massive interest thus garnered by the idea of having YOUR regional star shown on NATIONAL television!
  17. They were a team just Robert was out injured at the time so it was a fair pick. I am sure that Boon would work out some type of Andre for Jimmy Golden deal as I know you had him quite high on your board.
  18. Southwest Championship Wrestling officially announces it's not sending any talent to the David Von Erich Memorial Show.
  19. Yea, I don't like you. Hope the Von Erich curse rubs off on Central States now.
  20. I'll hate you forever dedhemingway. I hope you got some good ideas for 8 months of DVE because I did.
  21. King Kong Bundy
  22. I watched that today. That is Eric Embry's face under all that blood. Southwest is starting to grow on me a little bit more although it's still not a very good in ring territory even from the clips we get of the arena. Even the stuff with Ricky Morton teaming with Ken Lucas against The Grapplers hasn't done much for me and I like all those guys. I don't know if you guys know this but Tully Blanchard is pretty good on the mic. He's head and shoulders above everyone else, including Adrian Adonis who seems to get the 2nd most mic time after Tully and continues to be a guy that I do not like. I like fat flower shop Adrian way more than this one. Bobby Jaggers is slowly starting to grow on me after not really liking him at first. Eric Embry is the most fun person to watch in the ring out of the territory although I just got into some Quick Draw Rick McGraw stuff and he might be able to challenge. Tully just cut a great promo at the end of the last disc I watched with him calling out champions from all over the place in the classic wrestling bullshit way from the Mid-Atlantic champion Dick Slater, the Florida Champ Mike Graham on to Southern Champ Jerry Lawler. Tully, the guy who never wants to defend his Southwest title calls out only the people who he knows aren't going to be there.

    1983 Rulebook

What about Juan Reynosa who seemed to equally split duties between jobber & referee?
  24. I am so anxious to make my next pick. If dedhemingway picks this person before me I'll be inconsolable. He isn't running WCCW though so I should be ok....
