  1. I would go with the Hansen/Colon feud since it's already all encapsulated in one place.
  2. Yea I mean The Boogeyman could have an appearance on Raw tomorrow and it could get more of a reaction that the majority of the roster but that doesn't mean people care about him more. (With the exception of myself)
  3. This is a great post. He does feel like he's regressed badly in the past year as he's tried to "do more" at the expense of psychology and selling. But he's actually won some of the "Cena can't wrestle" goobers over to some degree. He was getting heavily praised on WF earlier this year before he won the U.S. title back and everyone started wishing he'd get a horrible injury again.
  4. Good first show here. Nice use of pictures and felt pretty true to the 'feel' of a CWF show hosted by Gordon Solie. Your match write ups are different from the norm but there is nothing wrong with that, everyone brings their own writing style to this project. I'm interested to see who The Chairman turns out to be. Pretty interesting decision on the way you decided to debut The Briscos, they definitely didn't come off like the good guys in that situation. Poor Rip Rogers getting totally squashed in the main event. He coulda been a contender!
  5. Eh, I guess I will take Rick 'Man Mountain' Link I would say let's keep this thing moving and skip him.
  6. "This was distinctly one of the oddest matches in AWA history." - I'll say. That was a really weird segment. I think Wally Karbo has disconnected all the smoke detectors in the AWA offices now that Verne's gone. Nice hit and run attack by Mr. Olympia there. Good tactics for a man outnumbered. Looking forward to what you do with your new team The Brotherhood of Poland. Dug the finish to the Latin Lovers/Heartbreakers match. The Roadies finally get a little bit of revenge on The Wild Bills but it's going to be tough to get their titles away from them considering how much The Wild Bills like to get themselves disqualified.
  7. Says the man who spent pages arguing that Sandman should OBVIOUSLY be well known to a Joshi wrestler, and engaged in name calling in the process.
  8. I just brought that specific move up. and not in a flattering way for JYD. But I'd still buy that as more painful than the move Eric is talking about. And The Thump beats the running hug Spear any day. Especially since JYD didn't spend 30 seconds making laughably goofy looking "THIS IS SERIOUS!" faces in the corner to set it up.
  9. Unfortunately this is true. But if someone makes the statement that "Drawing is not the only criteria and JYD is not in the same ball park as Edge as a worker" then sorry, I can't just pretend that's not ridiculous and wrong just because Dave Meltzer would go along with it. You can say that a crawling headbutt doesn't take a lot of talent and I couldn't really dispute that but neither does falling off ladders.
  10. He wouldn't even argue it on twitter just "listen to my podcast for why" and spending an hour+ listening to an argument he couldn't even be bothered to try and boil down into a few tweets was really not something I had any interest in doing. I barely listen to podcasts of things I actually have an interest in, I'm a reader not a listener and so the prospect of listening to something I'm already fairly sure I'm not going to like and will totally disagree with holds NO appeal to me. And nowhere did I say I trolled him, I wasn't outright disrespectful until he made it clear he was going to let his followers do his arguing for him. I called out him saying that JYD was nowhere in the same ball park as a worker as Edge and he couldn't even be bothered to respond when I pointed out JYD's good matches and the fact that they were gimmick matches couldn't be held against him since that's pretty much all Edge has going for him as well.
  11. If Wahoos Leg doesn't show up in the next 7 hours then he'll be skipped and kevin will go on the clock at 8:23 PM

    Gino Hernandez

Gino is also probably a really weird case of a guy who was better in his first 3-4 years in wrestling than he was 9-10 years into his career. I would speculate that's probably due to getting heavily into drugs but in his matches from 1978-1982 on NWAClassics he looks like a guy who would develop into an all time great (like top 20 great) because just a few years into his career he was already an amazing performer. Instead he seemed to go backwards and was clearly a worse performer in 1985 than he was 6-7 years earlier.

    Gino Hernandez

No one pimping him in here has been pimping him based on his World Class work. World Class is not really a "great match" territory on it's own anway, I feel like it was the weakest of the 80s sets by far.
  14. It's twitter I never get upset about a block. I took it as a sign of work well done. If it had been some random clown I wouldn't have even bothered arguing it but some people who don't know any better are actually going to listen to his podcasts and use that as a guideline on how to vote for wrestlers they're too lazy to do their own research on. He's going to be considered as an 'expert' by some because he has an old school wrestling podcast hosted on Meltzer's site and as such he's fair game to get called out on having a shitty ballot.
  15. I will contribute to this with the caveat that I'm not gonna number these because I already got enough people mad at me Top 5 Feds Southeastern - I think it's well established that this is my favorite territory IRL so the bar was set higher for me to like Southeastern in this game than any of the other territories. Boon has done a great job staying true to Southeastern and way exceeded my expectations of what a British guy could accomplish with the most southern rasslin territory of them all. Really great mix of talent although I'm slightly concerned about what's going to happen with the big influx of talent who don't really "fit" in my Alabama rasslin. Montreal - There are more people in this territory that I have never seen on tape and don't know than any other promotion in the game but dawho has done a great job in fleshing out some of their characters and giving me an idea of who they are. Very heavy focus on tag teams which I like because my promotion is also tag team heavy and now he's ridiculously loaded in that department with all the trades from the WWF merger. AWA - Very talented roster and a great use of them up and down the card. Even the undercard stuff in the AWA gets fleshed out and developed with acts like The Minnesota Heartbreakers and The Latin Lovers getting some shine even underneath a huge top heavy roster with Hogan, The Road Warriors, OMG, Ken Patera etc. That's a big feather in rainmaker's cap to get such good stuff out of guys who would most likely just be random jobbers on other rosters. WWA - This is definitely the biggest IRL rags to fantasy riches promotion in the game. Real life WWA was damn near dead in 1983 but JHawk has revived it with a roster that has a lot of variety and some interesting feuds. The Central States merger was a big help in bolstering the roster but it was already quite good before that. WCCW - Jesse is caught up through September now so I think it's fair to put him in. The Texas Title tournament was really good stuff, the introduction of Al Madril and him joining Devastation Inc was well done and Bad News continues to be one of the top heels in the whole game. Top 5 Feuds Von Erichs/Bad News - Bad News killing off David Von Erich set things in motion for a serious issue between him and The Von Erich family. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that he's outnumbered in the fight and him trash talking Fritz has been a lot of fun. Road Warriors/Wild Bills - I'm a big fan of The Wild Bills team that rainmaker put together and I think this feud has done a great job of building up The Road Warriors to eventually have a really big moment when (if?) the finally take the World Tag Team Titles. Midnights/Rougeaus - This has really picked up steam in the last month with The Midnights beat down on Armand and Creahman's interactions with Jacques Sr. The Midnight Express may have just won the titles but I know this feud is far from over. Armstrong vs. Flame, Fire & Torch - This is only just getting started but it's already a hot (ha ha) feud and I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops. The Armstrongs would seem to be at a disadvantage in this fight with young Scott Armstrong being a bit of a weak link against the 3 big masked men so I'm interested to see how things play out. Dory Funk vs. Jack Brisco - I'm still digging this feud although I've now switched to rooting for Dory over Jack. Jack crossed the line when he ended Terry's career and I'm hoping Dory gets some revenge for his younger brother. Top 5 Faces Hulk Hogan Bob Armstrong Tito Santana The Rougeaus Rick Martel Top 5 Heels Bad News The Midnight Express The Wild Bills Stud Stable Larry Zybszko
  16. I sat down to write the last show with the idea in mind "ok I'm gonna cut down on how much I write out in these matches" but it didn't really seem to happen that way haha
  17. I saw a gif of that big bump on twitter, hope you're feeling right again soon. Really disgusting actions by Tiger Mask, you were just trying to wipe off the apron for him! Seems like a big boss like yourself should hire a bounty hunter for some revenge on Tiger Mask Can't wait to watch the Gino/Race match tomorrow when I get some time and looking forward to more gems like that one that I never even knew existed.
  18. You'll have to use an image hosting site like imgur and paste the links in you can't just directly copy pics.
  19. The Fabs were never really the cleanest of babyfaces but they also gave fair warning on TV that they were looking to take out their frustrations on not getting an immediate title rematch on their opponents. I'm also a bit stuck on what the hell to actually do with Yin & Yang as it's a cool concept visually and them both having totally contrasting styles is neat but at the same time, it's turned out to be a bit limiting. The Ash/Welch stuff has kind of developed into my favorite feud to write especially once I had the idea to have Bill Ash start using The Fuller Leglock.
  20. There were so many Lord Alfred recruits I could have grabbed from that WWF roster...but with Parv out of the game the gag has lost a lot of it's luster to me
  21. Good first show here, definitely "feels" like a Memphis TV episode. I was wondering if you were going to kind of start clean or keep going off of where TravJ left off and it's cool that you decided to just keep going off of where he was, seems like that would be the more difficult choice at least in my mind.
  22. Yes, I said that in same post that I put up the picture of his ballot. That's "Dragon King Karl" his podcast is hosted on the WON/F4W if I'm not mistaken.
  23. Ok so next 3 picks are Jesse Ewiak, Wahoos Leg and kevin.
  24. That's already what the whole trade was supposed to accomplish. That's already agreed on.
