where I am handling roster updates while Kevin gets his tech issues sorted, can everyone please double check their rosters at the first of this thread and make sure they are accurate?

DUUUUUUUDE Piper and Hogan united?!?? I anticipate seeing this dream team in action but anticipate the inevitable disintegration that much more

Mid-Atlantic reclaims Dutch Mantell from his loan to Twin States, and loans Brett Sawyer to Twin States

Heck of a supercard... I was afraid when we saw a ref bump in the second match that you would go to that well too often but you didn't. Can only imagine the buzz from Funk doing the piledriver through a table in 85...

Using communism as the basis for citing the Freebird Rule is inspired

Let me be the first to say a Fabs-Midnight Rockers feud sounds AWESOME

Texas All Star? Did I miss something because it feels like I missed something

Gene is back and hits the ground running with several outstanding shows. I've really enjoyed the Jerry Brisco vs Dutch Mantell feud. LeDuc winning the belt was a surprise but better to feed him to the world champ than one of your top guys, and it gives the TN Stud a nemesis going forward Two enthusiastic thumbs up

Macho and Brody as a team would have been quite the sight! The Pringle Dynasty makes a major statement at the Hot Rod's expense. The big highlight for me was the Nikita interview... good stuff there!

Just noticed myself and AWA both had Pez Whatley on our rosters somehow... I'm dropping Pez and signing Brady Boone

Forget Tiger Mask vs Dynamite Kid, THIS is my match of the year for 1982 unless I stumble across something better. It also might be the best match in the history of the World Class promotion. Nuclear heat for Kerry throughout, who more than holds up his end with some top-notch selling of the knee in the second fall. A MASTERFUL performance throughout by Flair, and after watching this match three times and I don't know how many replays, I'm still trying to figure out where he came up with the blade. Not only is it a great match on its own it set the table for some tremendous stories to come in this promotion.

Hmmm, I wonder what the response will be from Animal, Hawk and Paul once I have a chance to get caught up on shows? I wonder ...

With so many heel teams, turning the Rockers heel and putting them on top is a bold choice. Not bad, just bold. I like them paired with Sherri. You captured the essence of the Hot Rod, for sure. Well done on that. Impressive win by Garvin, and I am intrigued to see what lies ahead for him. A fine opening act. These guys don't know what's in store with this madman pulling the strings!

Can I scout talent or can I scout talent?!?!?

[1982-06-04-WCCW] Harley Race vs Kerry Von Erich (No DQ)
Wahoos Leg replied to Superstar Sleeze's topic in June 1982
Kerry kicking out of the piledriver at one and immediately mounting a comeback like it barely fazed him is the only thing that kept this from great match territory for me. I am not as well versed in the full history of WCCW as I should be but I am surprised this didn't make the cut for the Best of 80s Texas set, though it was included as an extra -
Dutch shows up and his excuses over the loss to Brusco had me chuckling in an otherwise empty car I am here for the three Nightmares and possibly also the Freebirds Rule? Curious what the future holds for LeDuc

I think we have the most creative writer in the game here gentlemen... I will be honest if I had this roster i think i would be flummoxed on what to do with half of them Instead our friend spladoni here has given almost everyone a defined character and in many cases a highly entertaining gimmick. Kudos. Also I kinda want a shirt with a picture of Valentino that says "yeah! Vin Man!"

no worries!

I grabbed him a few weeks ago

Mid-Atlantic loans Dutch Mantell to Twin States until the end of August

Talk about a fixer-upper! Gene started from scratch and quickly has built up what might be the most compelling read in the whole system
