  1. I think "you fucked up" is still funny when used properly. It's just fans are too quick to jump in with the chant. EDIT: Dueling chants need to die as well.
  2. Reading the Final Battle 2005 results got me thinking of chants that annoy me. Here's a list: "5 star match" "MOTY" "this is awesome" "ECW" - actually any chant that requires you chanting the companies name "holy shit" "can't see shit" "boring" "USA" towards foreigners, still acceptable for Duggan matches
  3. Good point so it's 3 in 4 years.
  4. Whatever happened to Vince saying he'd never do a death angle. This is the second character they've teased killing on air in 2 years.
  5. Was Kid Kash even on tv more than once before that match?
  6. It's hard to say considering they've run people out of the company for daring to use their own money to buy a 1st class ticket.

  9. I agree with the Triple H comments. There's a lot of losses to guys like D'Von and almost no losses to guys that need a win to bring them to the next level. Plus I hate the fact that you could beat Triple H 10 times in a row but the second he beats you those other 10 times no longer matter storyline wise.
  10. I'll sum up a lot of people's thoughts on this show when I say, there's a PPV tonight?

  13. Hogan's work during his first reign is highly underrated. He had some very solid to good brawls with guys like Don Muraco and Randy Savage. He takes far more shit than he deserves over his inring ability.
  14. I found it funny too but then why would he want to work with Michaels at all. Michaels really isn't that big a deal overall considering his big run was when WCW was killing the WWF.
  15. Considering Hogan ushered in the two biggest wrestling booms of the last 50 years I'd say that statement is totally false.
  16. Actually I don't know if he deserves the credit for the business model the company runs from. I wouldn't be surprised if that's Linda's doing more than his.
  17. Which means what exactly. Saying you beat ECW is a pretty pathetic accomplishment considering it only survived as long as it did because McMahon was sinking money into it. And let's just bury this right now. ECW wasn't shit as far as a national promotion goes. Even when they were supposedly giving WCW a run for it's money, WCW wandered over to Australia and drew in 2 shows more than ECW did for half of that year. You're talking about a federation that drew 6000 fans once and a federation that was never even close to making money. They were a regional fed that thought they were more than they really were. Being not as stupid as your competition doesn't make you a genius. Again, not being as stupid as your competition doesn't make you a genius. Vince beat the territories because the territories were run by morons who were behind the times. Had said promoters had a clue and banded together we wouldn't be talking about Vince right now. Do you know how much VHS tapes ran when most of those promotions were viable? We're talking at least $50 in the 80s for a VHS tape of a wrestling event. I think the WCW tapes ran at around $60. Vince is lucky more than anything that DVD came along and changed the whole home entertainment thing to the point where he could actually use these libraries. Let's really look at the WWF and Vince in general. Vince has completely failed in every venture outside of wrestling. This includes the WBF, the XFL, ICOPro supplements, WWF New York and a few other things that never surfaced. The company currently can't run shows out of their home arena because they can't draw enough people to cover the rental fee. Stockholders have been bitching at them for years because they keep huge sums of money on hand that are earning them no return. This is a horrible business practice. He was handed an Invasion angle twice and botched both. He had Flair/Hogan on the roster and it wasn't until WCW got them that they main evented a PPV.
  18. I'd put him behind Sting and slightly above Austin until late August. I've seen few buildings erupt like they did the night Luger won the title. I meant 2nd most over face in North America actually. I should've been more clear on that.
  19. I'd say Luger was the 2nd most over wrestler in North America when he was chasing Hogan for the title in 97.
  20. So I noticed Flair went overseas with them for the Afghanistan show. Isn't that kind of illegal for him at this point and time?
  21. The slide started before Steph took over though. Fully Loaded 2000 was when things started going wrong in the fed.
  22. You lost me here. How exactly is Vince a genius??? Took wrestling from regional to mainstream, made new stars out of nobodies before, hired people below him who could do the thinking for him, overtook WCW by using said nobodies, took WWF to highest viewing audience ever with all other promotions combined. He may have been acting like a dumbfuck the last 4 or 5 years, but that doesn't mean he can't get out of it. For whatever reason (even if it's just his ego), he's not doing it. Also killed the U.S. wrestling scene.
  23. Here's something to think about though. If Harley Race debuted tomorrow would American fans accept him or would they shit all over him because of his look?
  24. That's true but we condone it and even in a lot of situations fans would totally accept a wrestler taking pain killers just to please them. Look at the RoH fans yesterday. They were actually trashing Styles so bad that Gabe had to go onto the RoH boards and chew them out and even mentioned threads like those make him want to close the boards down. Other people were doing it at DVDVR. So essentially there was a fan uproar about an injured wrestler taking a break. And even after it was revealed that if Styles got busted again at RoH he'd need plastic surgery there were still fans bitching about him being a pussy. The companies that hire them have a lot of responsibility, WWE especially, but the fans have played a role as well. A lot have bought into the line that bigger = better from the WWE. When a wrestler comes along that isn't a roid machine even smarks will shit on them like they did with Murdoch. Then we have the indy fan who doesn't give a shit about any of the wrestlers. A wrestler could die right in front of them and they'd bitch and moan that said wrestler ruined their fun. There's also the indy fan that demands blood and death matches which leads to guys doing pain killers. At some point fans have to realize we in our own way encourage the drug culture that's become such a problem in the wrestling world.
  25. What did Konnan say in his shoot interview?
