  1. I lost a lot of interest in it when he took down the profiles to all the gimmicks. That and it's kind of pointless when the only national company has done nothing but crap for 3 years.
  2. Yeah, skip any category you don't feel comfortable voting on.
  3. I think RoH should get Jim Cornette to do commentary live at the shows. I think that would make the product a lot more standable.
  4. Ok, I added lucha and MMA MVPs. Do you guys want best gimmick on there too?
  5. Yeah, though I want to see if anyone else has categories they want before doing ballots. I will accept ballots now as long as you're willing to come back later and vote on anything that gets added. Also if people want lists for categories just ask.
  6. The other thing that bugs me about RoH is match length. It's impossible to care about the first 5-10 minutes of anything in the promotion when you know it's ultimately meaningless. They also have no clue about match placement as they'll open shows with bathroom break matches or have an opener calibur match in what should be the cool down match after a really good one. It makes sitting through a show really hard.
  7. Are you guys interested doing that? I would like to do a private ballot. I think you get more honest results that way. Feud of the Year Story of the Year Company of the Year Best Champion Most Popular Wrestler Most Hated Overall Best Wrestler Comeback Wrestler of the Year Most Improved Rookie of the Year Tag Team of the Year WWE MVP TNA MVP RoH MVP Puro MVP Lucha MVP MMA MVP EDIT: These are the final categories. I'll be accepting ballots until December 15th.
  8. TNA is the top promotion to me. For all of their problems they put on excellent top to bottom shows on PPV. They've had a marvelous year. Yeah the Jarrett stuff is annoying but it's not like he's all over the shows or anything. If Jarrett as champion is the biggest flaw the company has then it's not that bad to me. Heel America's Most Wanted has been excellent. They really found the niche for them, especially James Storm. Abyss has also been great recently. I'd say he's the 4th or 5th best worker in the company. The carry jobs he's pulled off with Sabu, Lance Hoyt and others continues to show he's overlooked because he's hoss size. RoH had me briefly but they've lost me with things that even after a few years they still do. They still have those stupid thrown together 4 ways on their shows. The undercards are still filled with 100 lb. kids who I could probably beat up. I'm not one of those bigger = better guys but some of the guys they throw out there just can't be taken seriously. I hate the crowds and announcing as well. As much shit as TNA takes for announcing they're at least excited about the product. The RoH guys just sound like they're going through the motions most of the time. TNA's crowds take a lot of shit too but they at least give wrestlers a fucking chance. The RoH crowds will just shit on whoever doesn't meet their personal standards. It's also annoying that they crow about how smart a crowd they are then cream themselves over the scramble matches and then sit on their hands for the actual good shows. Plus I would punch Green Lantern Fan in the face if I ever met him in real life or at least spit on him. WWF, I gave up on them a long time ago. They've shown no ability to get better and most of my favorites are heading out the door anyways.
  9. I've never bought into his "I'm a Christian" act at all. If he really was one he wouldn't be pulling the things he has.
  10. Are there any rumors floating around about someone in management being upset with him? I mean I don't think the guy's won a match since June. Tonight he had to job to a tag wrestler.
  11. I still don't think that's the worst thing the WWF has done. Saba Simba and Jerry Lawler giggling for an hour about "that little Japanese guy" in 2000 are still much worse offenses.
  12. Gee, that's a real stunner coming from TSM posters. It's even spelled correctly and everything.
  13. Rock/Jericho suffered from being lost in the shuffle of too much going on in 2001/2002. It was second fiddle to Austin's antics and then HHH's ego stroke tour. I think it also gets forgotten because of the burial job that was being done on Jericho.
  14. That sound you hear is Lashley getting completely cut off at the knees. Lashley had no business being on the Survivor Series team because he was going to have to sell and ended up getting pinned.
  15. Chop fest would describe a lot of Kobashi's recent work.
  16. Yeah, but WCW wanted to give him a big singles push when he was still good. He declined because of Rick.
  17. Actually, if anything kept Scott from reaching his full potential it was his loyalty to Rick.
  18. I don't see the problem with it. He was essentially telling the truth and he did say that he felt bad for the guy's family.
  19. Rey's more like 5'3''. I've stood next to him before and I towered over him at 5'10''. But even Benoit, Malenko and those guys are probably more like 5'6'' to 5'8''.
  20. Nah, his neck would just swallow his head.
  21. I'm stunned by how many people have partaken in Vince's kool-aid about how bigger = better. I've seen it a lot lately and I guess I was naive to that thinking. I thought since it was fake size didn't really matter too much. Especially in 2005 when the Gracies have spent the last decade beating up guys twice their size.
  22. That's where smart booking comes in. He can spend a year defending against the non-giants if anyone has half a brain. It's not like Big Show or the Undertaker are anywhere near being title contenders.
  23. So? Butterbean is a legit fighter unlike either of those. Genki Sudo isn't anywhere near as built as Misterio is. Misterio has credibly beaten Kevin Nash, Scott Norton and Bam Bam Bigelow. None of them saw a hit to their heat. All Misterio has to do is bounce around the ring and tire them out until getting a quick roll up.
  24. My guess is that a few token undercard guys that barely appear on the main shows will get suspended for 2 months (more like a paid vacation) and you'll never see anything again. I say Val Venis, a Basham, Scotty II Hotty and Big Vito get suspended under this policy. This'll never happen because 90% of the roster would fail this test.
  25. I thought Abyss vs. Rhino was pretty good. AMW have been much better as heels especially James Storm.
