So this rumor they might try to run MSG. They're insane if this is true.

Did somebody ask about better wrestlers than Punk. Kimbo Slice vs. Dada 5000 was worse honestly. That fight made MMA look like a total joke and Dada almost died and they were extremely negligent in letting Kimbo fight with his health issues.

Marvel Unlimited is really a great deal if you haven't checked it out. I think it's $70 for a year and there are thousands of books on there. Alan Moore's Swamp Thing is one of my all time favorite books.

I know there are some other fans out there. So what are you reading? I recently decided to do a reread of Daredevil series that started with Kevin Smith as a writer that ran to about 2010. I've gotten through about the first 10 issues so far. The Kevin Smith issues didn't age terribly but they aren't as good as I remember. Things come together decently by the end but there are some weird spots in the story. His 8 issues are what gave me a real love of Daredevil and it was fun to revisit them. I'm really looking forward to rereading the Bendis run on the book. I also recently read the 14th volume of One Punch Man. I thought the series had started to slow to a crawl but this had a really fun battle with some amazing art.

Who are those people and have they been living under a rock? I have no idea. I'm guessing they don't follow the scene closely. I just know I get weird comments on Reddit from All Japan fanboys if I mention they have to start doing better than DDT before they should be aiming for New Japan.

There are people that have commented that he's actually really special in that he put in all that time and looked that bad during the fight, I think the real problem for Punk is he has zero athletic ability and almost no instinct. He has no redeeming qualities as a fighter.

I think you might be on to something. People get really really defensive in some places if you mention DragonGate and DDT being bigger companies than All Japan has been in recent years.

I would probably use it as I am currently downsizing a lot of my DVDs.

Graves is a douche as well, just slightly less of one than Punk.

Brock is a freak. He almost made an NFL practice squad based on nothing more than his athletic ability.

He was doomed. Remember he had that fight with Teddy Hart while in TNA and Hart got the best of him. You usually have to have a base in something to get you over the hump until you catch up in other areas. But Punk is pretty terrible. Like I said, I have friends that weekend Warrior MMA and do some amateur fights here and there and I don't think he could beat most of them or a lot of amateurs with any level of experience.

His punches were god awful and part of the reason he gassed out in 3 minutes. His takedown attempts were also absolutely pathetic. It's like he stopped the second he made contact, there was no ppp there whatsoever. I never thought he was an athlete but he has zero athletic ability.

Like I said, I know guys that do amateur MMA as a hobby that would eat Punk alive. I'm not even saying it to be a tough guy. I have done martial arts and some grappling in my younger days. I have some athletic ability on my side. Give me a year to train and I think I would have a fair chance against Punk. That's the level of incompetence I saw on Saturday.

Did you ask the ripeness level he prefers?

I mean it's his choice nut what if he played ball and got 5 years with WWE and had a couple hundred thousand in his bank right now? I get that money isn't everything but for something like wrestling or other jobs where you have a limited shelf life you need to cash in at some point.

My problem with that though is you get to 55 and you killed yourself and have nothing to show for it. I understand the art argument but I think you need to balance that with your wallet sometimes too. Getting a couple of years in the WWE at the end of your career can set you up nicely.

Also, I think my lasting memory of Punk's MMA career is going to be that guy tickling him with about 35 seconds left in the fight.

I've seen it in numerous places but I haven't found any comments from Colt on it but I also don't listen to his podcast anymore.

Certainly Punk is a prick for cutting off contact completely (if that's all that happened between the two), but I don't know...if you're involved in a lawsuit that is at least tacitly supported by a company, maybe don't hang out backstage like nothing's wrong? I don't know. I'll get a dog if I want something to do exactly what I want. It just seems like a really shitty thing to do to someone you've been friends with for so long.

I feel like I could train for a year and probably take Punk the distance or even beat him. I would just need some built up muscle mass for strength and cardio training with some formal training in there. I do have a background in martial arts with some grappling though. Like I said, I have friends that do it as a hobby and fight a couple times a year and I feel like they would destroy him. I don't feel like I could have done that to Takada.

I believe Graves is pissed off that Punk isn't his friend anymore because Graves is just trying to pay his bills. He also did the same thing to Colt for going backstage at a Raw to visit some people.

The Colt thing is really shitty on his part. Maybe you should be nice to the guy you got sued and who spent a lot of money on legal fees because of you. But Punk really just comes across like a spoiled manchild so it doesn't surprise me.
