Happy to see Wade back in the ring. Rey getting booed is pretty bad (and seems to be a product of fans who just think because he's been around a long time he needs to be booed) but they had a pretty good little match. If they have something in store for Wade, I'm interested.

[2014-04-07-WWE-Raw Backstage Pass] Interview: Daniel Bryan
Timbo Slice replied to Loss's topic in April 2014
Quickly becoming one of my favorite things in wrestling right now. Bryan was awesome here. Totally genuine. Great stuff. -
AJ can talk. I'll give her that. But Paige coming out like that for her first time, it was kinda odd that she was, well, Santino-ish in challenging for the belt like that. Finish was somewhat botched, too. What is good about this is that with her up, AJ will have someone she can work a longish match with.

[2014-04-07-WWE-Raw] Paul Heyman & Brock Lesnar promo
Timbo Slice replied to Loss's topic in April 2014
I mean, why the hell does anyone other than Heyman talk in the ring? Bryan has been great the past few weeks and Renee going in to do the post-match stuff is great, but for a showcase promo that for years has been one of the most unappealing aspects of the WWE product, Heyman absolutely destroys everyone on the mike. I mean, he's digging down deep into the promos he cut backstage for the boys in ECW and pulling some shit out that is unreal. He has becoming appointment viewing in the last year, and this might be the crowning achievement since his return a couple years ago. I can't wait to see what he does to help push Cesaro over the top. -
[2014-04-08-WWE-Network] Journey To Wrestlemania: Daniel Bryan
Timbo Slice replied to Loss's topic in April 2014
Halfway through it right now, but so far, it's been really well done. The frankness of the guys Bryan has worked with really puts him over as something huge and they're showing it from so many different perspectives that I don't see how you don't buy him as a top guy.- 16 replies

[2014-04-08-WWE-Main Event] The Shield vs Wyatt Family
Timbo Slice replied to Loss's topic in April 2014
Great match. Depending on how you like your match layouts, you might put this above the Raw match (For instance, I think OJ would probably like this match a bit more than the Raw match) as this was really all about the in-ring action and not really about the chaos. It's weird to see the Shield go over clean as a sheet here, looking actually somewhat dominant during the stretch run when only six weeks ago they were being put on equal footing, but they're definitely poised for big things. Work is great, but it's not as chaotic as the first two matches, which really gave it a different feeling. Tag team heat segments are starting to become my favorite thing in the current era of WWE because all these guys do them so well, and there's some great stuff with Ambrose in peril here.- 12 replies

Check out Shield/Wyatts from The Main Event last night if you get a chance. It's a great match, gets about 20-25 minutes to work with. Still don't know why they have commercial breaks for Main Event considering it's being pushed on the network, but whatever.

One thing that comes to mind right away, sadly, is that with Orton not getting pinned, he has the whole, "Well, I didn't want the triple threat and I didn't even get pinned to lose my belts!" thing going for him that almost necessitates a rematch. My hope is that they don't put it on a PPV and do it on RAW tonight.

Well, if I carry the zeroes this time... Not the best number, obviously. The 800,000 number being the break even point for me, I think you have to hope that turning the company in a new direction is going to incrementally keep the numbers going up over time. I'm not exactly worried, but now that we know the product is successful from a live streaming perspective, I feel that many of the fears people had are going to go away and you'll see a slight increase. A million is probably pushing it, though.

If Vickie was a big reason you tuned out, you must have missed all the other stuff going on in that time frame that wasn't exactly great. Vince knew that Vickie having a regular job was an important thing after Eddy passed so that she could provide for her family. I could care less what she did while she was on my TV screen.

Yeah, if anything, Brock wanting the title belt (which he mentioned before the Royal Rumble) is now definitely in play and him and Daniel can have some incredible matches.
-
With some help from Triple H, oddly enough.

That place fucking exploded.

HOLY SHIT.

Taker's voodoo outfit is fucking awesome.

BORK LAZER MOTHERFUCKERS.
-
Me too. Was kinda hoping for it.

I actually have no idea why Cena should even had gone over.
-
I wanted the Steamboat 89 Bash finish myself.
-
Fair enough. But people saying that was a Daniel Bryan showcase or Trips did the big moves just because he was facing Bryan are missing the point.
-
Because the pace was a Triple H match. The structure was definitely a big Triple H match. He brought the majority of the stuff to the table. Bryan actually did more to work his spots in to the match more than Trips did.
-
For as much as we talk about Bryan, that was Triple H's match and it was really fucking awesome.
-
Okay, this might be the best Triple H match in at least a decade.
-
Well, if your opening segment isn't gonna be a match, that's the best thing you could possibly do.

Hogan selling the word "Superdome" is his best work in years.
