People talk about Danielson vs Morishima being a prototype for what a Brock vs Bryan match might look like. However, I noticed they faced each other quite a few times in ROH. Which match is it specifically that people love so much? I want to check it out.

I feel like if Nakamura is going to work matches like that, he needs to change his look -- get rid of the long hair, put on some kick pads, etc. It's an aesthetic thing I can't get past.

He just happened to catch me at the right time. I think my schedule is showing slow signs of a turnaround, for what it's worth.

The Jim Ross Is A Grouchy Hateful Vile Human Being thread
Loss replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
He's so unusual. -
Ross had Jake on, who was a great guest, but when he said "Could you imagine the guys raised in this generation having to carry a snake to the ring?", I can't even figure out what point he was trying to make. He seems to have a lot of hatred for the modern scene, but is too passive aggressive to come out and say whatever his issues are. At least Cornette is direct.
-
Bret/Austin I like, but would people love it as much if it didn't result in Austin turning babyface and becoming a star? I feel like I overrated it when going through 1997 stuff, as the crowd brawling just goes too long and takes me out of the match in some ways.

The network was sold as something that includes all pay-per-views, including Wrestlemania. I don't feel like there's a way to go back on that, and I think it may backfire and result in subscription cancellations.

I was hoping for Cesaro/Heyman, but we'll see.

I think the image/link issue is browser related. What browser are you using? I'm not quite sure I understand the other issue.

I was wondering if a long Warrior bio is even needed since the details of his career have been covered so many times in the WON. I suppose he should do one since there will be a demand for it, but I'm not sure if there's really a fresh perspective on everything at this point.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away

Yeah, that's one way wrestling has changed. Bryan mentioned in one of his interviews that even Big Show has been trying to slim down and increase his mobility because he realizes he has to in order to stay relevant. -

I liked him at times when I was a kid. Hogan, Flair, Warrior, Savage, Sting and Luger are probably the guys that standout the most when I think about watching wrestling as a kid. -
Every time Kobashi did the top rope shoulderblock, I always thought of Butch Reed. Is Reed the first guy to do that move?

I don't quite know what to make of this. Bret comments on Warrior: http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2014/04/09/21593636.html?cid=rsssportswrestling -
Reed I believe had drug issues. Watts brought him back in 1992 and fired him shortly afterwards for missing shows.

[2014-04-08-WWE-Network] Journey To Wrestlemania: Daniel Bryan
Loss replied to Loss's topic in April 2014
Miz actually worked a few indies before Tough Enough, so you'd think he would have known more about the indy landscape. I realize he wasn't working super indies, but it's strange to me that someone at that level wouldn't have any concept of who's who there. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of key people in WWE hadn't seen his matches, but they should have at least heard the names Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Homicide and Low Ki at some point if they paid any attention to the industry they worked in at all.- 16 replies

I'm really not a fan of Roman Reigns in the ring, even though I enjoyed the promo. I think the Superman punch looks awful and I haven't seen any proof that he can sell, or take bumps, or get over in a singles match, or really do anything except get his shit in and look good doing it. Maybe I haven't seen the right matches, but he seems like he's carried by the other two.
-
I wondered that at first, but I think he's a made man now. A lot of his long-term success will depend on WWE lining up a machine of strong heels to send his way. I don't feel like there's any shortage of matches they can do with him as champion. In terms of crowd reaction, he's the most over guy since Steve Austin. Wrestling has changed so the same indicators that we would normally look to aren't there anymore, but the indicators that are there look good.

It's so awesome just how many people are simultaneously climbing the ladder right now. Daniel Bryan is the key guy obviously, but it's not just limited to him. That's when wrestling is its most fun to watch.

If it is true, it sort of explains why Miz still isn't respected by his peers.- 16 replies

Just so it's perfectly clear, he wasn't banned for his views or anything specific that he said. It was more that I asked him to stop and he posted again anyway. Now let us all return to Warrior talk. -
I feel like Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar is the biggest match they have in reserve now. But I'm also not sure that it makes sense for Brock to lose anytime soon considering that he just beat the Undertaker. Bryan vs Cena II will also be a big match.
