  1. A GREAT Muraco Interview about Roy Shires and Dean Ho after the match: The interview is around 10:30 - 11 min in....great stuff from a young heel Don....so un PC for today...."You're gonna bleed Jap" at the end to Dean is classic..."
  2. 1987 - Brown AND Nick Kiniki - The Canadian Shitstorm in the AWA!

  6. Hey, I am all in to help with that if needed....THIS shit needs answered... Plus maybe he knows of some more Central States footage....
  7. Buck Robely is really funny when he talks about his short time in Central States and how there was no way he was going with Bob Brown on top and brought in a bunch of his own guys.. His story gets a little blown up (way bigger deal than it was) after that, but still good.
  8. Seriously, this has bugged me since I really got into wrestling...NO ONE has ever said Bob Brown had a must see match or feud.. Was Central States SOOO bad that hte only guy they could rely on to stay and make programs around was shitty Bob Brown? Are there any stats anywhere on their numbers? Did Geigel even want his own territory to do well? Shit, Harley was part of it...how did HE still go with Bob? Its a nice area of the country...surely SOMEONE would like to headline there... Or was he like Geigel's puppet and did what he said no matter what...or maybe some other deeper shit was involved... Maybe Brown sent friends around getting pictures of certain promoters to use as collateral to keep him on top...what else is there? And more than one place thought enough of him to put him into a position...semi main or main...

  10. Did he draw well in Central States in the 70's - 80's? He is bad everywhere he's gone and I have NEVER once heard a "you should see him vs..." or that kind of talk and never heard anyone defend him as a wrestler...yet he was featured in several areas and in big roles.... How did he last so long in a big role if he was soo bad and universally seen as bad...unless I am missing something... Curious where the disconnect is.

  12. I like his WCCW match in Ft. Worth 1983 vs. Jimmy Garvin..he was Tonga John then, but showed some promise for such a big dude.. 1990-1991 was his peak as a singles guy though..the Bret matches are all really good...his match vs. Tito at WM 6 was a good 4 minute affair....His matches vs. Bossman were serviceable.... My only major disappointment was his WCW Title match vs. Ron Simmons at Havoc '92. I enjoyed the build and his role with Cactus being his manager and training him during the build-up. But the match was a piece of dog shit...completely....I think it tanked any shot he had of being a single going forward, which sucked as I dont think it was his ability, but more of the fact that he and Simmons just didnt click in the ring at all....and Simmons to me was never any good as a single to carry a match. As a tag, the Faces of Fear were fuckin great, just got stuck behind Hall and Nash and never had anyone put anything real into a push....a tag title reign should have happened somewhere between 96 and 98. Actually, they should have kept him and Haku together in 91 WWF...a feud with the Warriors could have been good.... Finally, his big boot got to be a real killer lookin move as the 90's went on...took heads off with it.
  13. I am gonna toss up all the Matysik stuff later today.. There are two main interviews and then a LOT of his "booking sheets"...He does 1960-1983 with a few years skipped...really interesting stuff...

  15. These were all fantastic....thanks soo much... VERY strange to see them using a real death in an angle, reading it through today's microscope....and the fact that the Martel's were heels?? Did the crowd like that Invader may have killed the heel? Just curious... And....Invader......killed someone......uhhh, yeah......very strange to read. A GREAT look at wrestling in Puerto Rico from a Puerto Rico point of view in teh mags....
  16. Well, my Saturday night is planned!!! Thanks El Boriqua!!
  17. I am fairly certain I have them all, and will post them.... EDIT - The 4 Watts Interviews (about 140 MB) are posted in the Bill Watts folder (will be in about 20 min from this post as they are uploading)
  18. The three Jeff Walton Interviews about LA as well as the 1970 - 1971 - 1972 "Booking Sheets" are up there as well On the dropbox site mentioned earlier in thread... Anything else, let me know as Dropbox gives 2 GB of free space and this was only about 200 MB.
  19. After the excellent Wrestling Culture shows on the histories of Montreal / British / Maritimes wrestling, I was curious if anyone knew of any other good shows to listen to that go over other territories in depth? If none, would anyone like to possibly plan and do one with me and others possibly? Or any good books possibly? Specifically: Portland (Owen) San Francisco (Shires) Vancouver (Tomko and Before) Omaha (pre 1960's) Houston (Boesch) Thanks!
  20. Buck ended up doing like 6 or 7 interviews by the end...the last couple werent that great.. But the first four were real good....
  21. Far North Wrestling show in Elizabeth PA in Spring 2005 and then an IWC show in Pittsburgh in 2007....work took over after that and any free time is spent at home watching older stuff!
  22. Walton did 3 or 4 regular interviews with Gary and then a bunch of "Booking Sheets" from the late 60's into early 70's.. I will get all those uploaded today and post when available...
  23. What do you guys want up there first?
  24. My sentiments exactly....thanks for opening a whole new world of wrestling to me....
