  1. Dylan, how do you feel about his work in his 10 matches vs. Pearce for the NWA Title from 2010 - 2012? I really enjoyed those matches myself, the 6 I have seen....really thought the 7 Levels of Hate matches were really good and he wasnt comedic Colt in those...althougth he did steal half of Shane Douglas' NWA Title win / throwdown promo from 94 at the end of match 7 when they abandon the title...
  2. WOW - Two days and no more Barbarian love.... Barbarian is one of the best Big Men and most underrated Big Men of all time...I dont know many others with his size and build (so cut and with that "roided" really bulked up look) that is so agile and limber as he is.... In the ring, he moved like a smaller guy than him should and I dont know many others that had that build and look that could do that as well... From his time with Paul Jones as Konga in '85 the first time I saw him until his last days in WCW, he always was that agile... His IC TItle matches against Bret in 91 are really good (a few on colliseum Vid as well as his house shows...) and his tag team with Meng was great as well....but we all know that!!! I hated when they put him in that stupid deer like head dress and the stupid carpet like shoulder thing...I know it was a "Barbarian" type thing...but it sucked ass.....he deserved better!
  3. Was just thinking and I cannot believe I forgot one of TRUE top 5's.. Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy.....they SHOULD have had a LONG post WM feud with teh Bulldogs and gotten the titles if even for a short spell....they were awesome, especially in promos... Dream tag for me - Studd / Bundy vs. Twin Towers......oh yeah! Wrestling wise? Shit....entertainment wise....off the charts...
  4. Black Mark? Hell no...he is the reason that WCW was born as he kept going and running when Vince was taking over and he continued to run and run strong when all others fell by the wayside or their products turned to shit and no one cared anymore...having Flair and Dusty helped out...and TBS as well....but something has to be said for the company as well.. Business side in teh later 80's, maybe that wasnt the best, but I cannot say that I wouldnt spend lavishly during that era when it was the 80's and being lavish was the thing to do when you had money...and looking at his company up until Magnum crash, it was sailing and doing really well... No Crockett = No WCW = No 1990's Wrestling Boom
  5. Watch his NWA stuff.....he sweats a TON..maybe its when he was a few years older...I dont know.. But I clealy remember how sweaty that dude was every time I watched him...its dripping off him in rest holds...and a lot....so much that I vividly remember it bothering the match to me.
  6. For me, its just like my game and vintage computer hobbies, its a collection on top of being something I enjoy watching..so I have to have a full year of shows if there is one good thing in that year...not sure why...but its the collector in me, and I always think if I dont have every show, I am missing something vital to an angle...even a quick promo on a show about a feud is something I want to see....Same with old games and old computers.... Plus, I love the fact that I can at any time think of a match I want to see or re-see and I can go hunt it down..... I call it collecting...the wife calls it hoarding!
  7. Parv, you and I are the same in the gaming thing...I have 1000's of games to and a shit ton of old computer stuff I collect, but dont use and probably wont for a LONG time!! Also, for wrestling on TV...I have one of my P4 Dual Core older machines hooked up in the man cave and run my PC to my TV using an older ATI AIW card...I put it on an older 36" CRT TV and when in full screen. be it YouTube online or all my stuff local on VLC Player, you cant tell the difference...plus all that video is at my fingertips so my lazy ass dont have to move late at night!!! With my son sleeping above me, that and headphones are a GREAT thing..
  8. I type mine out and put them in specific Word files...a "big" list, divided in to several categories, and several individual category listings. I have also started an Excel list that is just disc number and title, but it will take a long time to finish it as I did not do this from the start. It's more of a spare time project. I have been working on this same thing, the excel sheet with EVERYTHING I have....I label the show, major matches or angles on it , quality, source (TV / 24/7, comp..etc..), media type (VHS / DVD / HDD) and length. If its still on my HDD (I have about 15 TB of Wrestling on 4 HDD's) that arent on DVD or VHS. I also mark down the file size and on which HDD its on. I will do this for every episode of every season I have as well as with the big shows and comp discs...Also have a seperate sheet for individual matches... Its a crazy project and I've been at it for about 3 years now (the excel sheet part anyway) and I do it when I can (at work (I am in IT, so when a server is installing or a Database is running a big report, in spare time / etc, at night before bed...)..I enjoy it a lot. You really get to see a ton of stuff you dont know you had (at least I do)..and when I am tired of it, I stop...no need to force something I am supposed to enjoy! I used to try and do "wrestling days" where I'd plan out what I was gonna watch during the day before and then watch it...but once my son was born, that was all over..now I watch when I can...no rhyme or reason...I am starting to get more time to watch as he is 2 1/2 and starting to watch with me... As far as how much footage I have that I havent watched...I cant count it anymore...too much! I dont watch teh current product at all...just dont find any passion for it or anything to hook me in.
  9. WHAT?? Really?? Who the fuck is picking that? I have seen homeless women, un-showered for WEEKS look 1000 times better than Miley Cyrus... NASTY... Hey, at least Jeff Hardy had some talent....his talent was as big as her teeth at one time!
  10. Sorry to jump in Parv and Dylan...but that book looks friggin sweet... Damn, more money to spend...August gonna be costly! Crockett Doc Crockett 77-80 Book 7 Levels of Hate DVD Damn it...
  11. This will get better, just another month of so of crap, and the Main Event's will get MUCH better and the mid-card as well.. Hang in there...April - July was bad bad bad...but after the BATB going forward, things do pick-up...that last 7 months of WCW was actually good, but it was soo far down teh shitter at that point, it didnt matter.. And honestly, even if they were still pulling 3's, from all accounts, Jamie Kellner would have pulled it.... Still amazes me to this day though that NO channel wanted to take a show doing 2's on cable....someone had to have wanted that.....unless the AOL TW people made sure it wouldnt make TV anywhere...I mean, there was much less to choose from in 2001 as well.... Today, with all teh channels available, someone would have saved WCW and given Bischoff and crew and chance...but as we've seen, it would have been TNA 2010-2013 in 2001..Before BIsch and Hulk took over TNA, I had always thought WCW could have gotten better based on where it was going in March...but not after the abomination of TNA over the last three years... Has anyone ever fantasy booked WCW post March 2001? I'd love to read it.

  16. You couldnt have thought the way I think about Arn in the 90's any better....he used that same Horsemen style 1980's tone but didnt even come close to following it up.... In the 80's he'd say "Dont be caught alone.." and then kick the shit outta Magnum in the locker room. and on and on.. In the 90s, he'd say the same things and have a 15 min draw with Regal in what is a good wrestling match, but not the end of the career type match he'd talk about... I really thought I was the only one that saw that in him in the 90's...
  17. I thought they could have done more with Atlas. He and Henry were a great pair: I second this....they should have brought the act for a Main Event fun on RAW for a few months...they were a GREAT team...they should Booker with him (Henry) now and do that same type thing on the big show...
  18. 1. Hiro, maybe due to the fact that he was around in 88 as well during the Dusty - Luger feud (Weaver Lock vs. Matsuda Sleeper), so he'd been there before and been with JJ and Luger...continuity maybe? 2. Dragon Master was Kendo Nagasaki, who was around for a bunch of different runs in Mid-Atlantc days, so that is what they were going off of I'd guess...and he had history with Gary Hart.
  19. Get the NWA History and Tradition show as wel...its a GREAT show....very worth every penny.
  20. VERY NICE!! Cant wait to hear this one... GREAT WORK GUYS!!!...as always....could this one beat the USWA Texas one?
  21. I will write a lot more later, but just saw this as I am getting some stuff for my sick kid here at 2:45 AM ET... but as Soup23 and JerryVonKramer can attest to, I fuckin LOVE the Barbarian....will explain later...so glad to see him get a thread.. SO SO SO Underrated.....Big as fuck and Agile as fuck....who else is like that that get a TON of love? Blackwell....and yes, I love Jerry to! Now Blackwell is another type of big...but still....Big and Agile...
