  1. Sad news....I got into Morishima when he came to ROH in the mid 2000's, then followed up with his Japan stuff.... Good thing he's doing what the Dr says, as he's only 36 and has a long life ahead of him...no need to risk spending your last 20 - 30 years in a wheelchair....
  2. Starting at the beginning of 1991, what shows did WCW have running on TV? WCW - TBS Worldwide Pro? Main Event Power Hour? Others? (Outside PPV)
  3. Holy shit, Shire did write that...fuck I messed that up...thanks for the point... I am gonna message him on KM and tell him sorry, even if he never saw it....that book is like a bible to an era I'd die to see Also, full footage of the buildup and run of the SECW ORIGINAL Midnight Express (Condrey / Rose / Austin) and their big matches / title matches....
  4. Strongbow retirement ceremony = RATINGS bonanza Strongbow should have broke out of his face and did this part of the track and then back to stone face: Tom bo li de say de moi ya Yeah, Jambo Jumbo Way to parti' o we goin' Oh, jambali Tom bo li de say de moi ya Yeah, JUMBO JUMBO! Well done Parv, I loved every minute of that!! Loving the rest to, great stuff to follow along with as you are my "new" federation these days since I dont watch any weekly TV outside of reading about it.
  5. This right here is all that matters......they clearly didnt want him as the guy for 2 years now.....now they have reasons (even just a concussion this time), they have their ammo.... Shame...concusssions are no jokes either...has he had many?
  6. Having Savage as the same kind of nut character in 1997 WWF would have been amazing......added in with everything else at that time...a 97 Austin vs 97 Savage feud could have been MONEY....even better than DDP / Savage was.... I also regret that Russo fucked up the IC and Hardcore title matches at Mania 15 "Just for shock" BUT after thinking last night, my biggest regret right now: There is no good US Competition to push WWE and / or their competitor to really pull out the stops and get really creative and have a war again with "MUST SEE" weekly stuff from both shows....I would stop reading any results or rumors if it happened to really get into it and enjoy it as it happened....
  7. I dont know about all that....I dont care if its all on the network or anywhere else, I will always keep ALL my media on hand....you never know what might happen with technology...knowing I have all those shows and DVD;s and VHS still safe and protected and available at ANY moment is comforting For my regret(s): That the AWA's major shows and matches in the 70s and 80's arent all complete matches and not clipped up from the major arenas. That all AWA TV shows from 82 - 85 were complete and available and not in comps / ciips. That there was more of the Big Show Main Events complete on tape from the following promotions instead of the highlights we'd get on the TV: SECW Continental Florida Vancouver Maritimes Calgary That I had a shit ton of money to buy every AJPW / NJPW / NOAH Japanese shows I dont have now!! So for me, its all about the video and adding and adding.....
  8. Canary Yellow Vince for me....he epitiomized watching 70's - early 80's WWWF / WWF matches when things were 100% different without all the glitz and glam....and his commentary is great I'd say Jesse / Vince is second as I also loved how much he put into a match and passion and delivery...He and Jesse during the Savage / Steamboat angle is his apex....fuckin unreal Mr. McMahon was cool and all but I got back into WWF in 1997 when HHH's push started in the summer and then into the Shawn DX and then his DX, so during the peak era, for me, outside nights where HHH was in the main event, the best part of RAW for me was by about 10 - 10:15...the Austin / McMahon main event shit was cool, but was not my focus of the show and was WAY behind the other stuff I already mentnioned, so the Mr. McMahon character was just a great part of the show, but not why I tuned in...until late 99 when HHH and Vince got into their feud with Steph and the rest I actually cared more about Mr. McMahon and then the facgime.... Cant comment on elder as my WWE regular watching as a weekly, cant miss FOCUS ended about 7 years ago I tried several times to get back in full bore but the way its booked and done now loses me quickly...now I watch matches you guys throw out or I will catch an angle or PPV here and there, but not enough to comment about him...
  9. That was really really well done Kris....another tragic loss of a wrestler. I had only a little foray into Lucha, but Perros Del Mal were a faction that I really enjoyed checking out.
  10. OK, after watching a LOT of 1984 TV building to Starrcade, this is what mine would have been had Dusty not put himself ALL over it.. and won the Tag Titles then didnt defend them at the show could he put himself in a needless, heatless match for million dollars that meant nothing vs. Flair, who had to be turned heel all the sudden after being face the whole year...then gave us a bullshit finish to the biggest show of the year. Flair (NWA Champ) vs. Tully (TV Champ) - NWA title vs. $10,000 - Tully had been on that 10,000 thing for MONTHS, and it would have made more sense and we could have had an actual finish to the Starrcade Main event with them feuding for the previous months and attacking each other on TV and at shows...imagine a Flair vs. Tully at a big show, it should have happened. Ivan Koloff / Don Kernodle (Tag Champs) vs. Dusty / Manny - Steel Cage - Same build with Kernodle signing the match without looking at the contract. Ivan and Nikita could wreck Don afterward and injure him on the big stage, leading to a Don comeback later when Ivan and Nikita get the titles back Wahoo McDaniel (US Champ) vs. RIcky Steamboat - US TItle - finish off this feud that had been brewing since the title was held up in Late August Paul Jones vs. Jimmy Valliant - Loser Leaves Town Street Fight - Lets "end" this feud and the "registry" - then start it up again in a few months...then off, then on again in 86... Assassin / Johnny Weaver vs. Zambouie Express (with Paul Jones) - no issues with this as the feud was going that way…but have Johnny Weaver in this somehow due to his part with Assassin and their parts together before and after Assassin turned face. Ron Bass (MA Champ) / Black Bart vs. Billy Graham / Mosca Jr - After Mosca was beat for the MA title by Bass and co..Graham could come in to help him, then spin off to Graham vs. Bass Jessee Barr vs. Graham Denny Brown vs. Mike Davis Those early matches from other territories are fine.. Thoughts? The LongRiders match is the only one I am not 100% on, but it made booking sense.
  11. I dont know TEW13 that well as I am getting my feet wet, but what does the game usually need for the software to trigger you being fired? Anyone that knows the software to know what triggers it usually? Also, Parv has tried to get a TON of guys in and they are saying no, so he's going with what he has and having some fun with it..this thing will grow with these guys and get bigger. Once he hits the next levet (Cult) a lot of those guys are gonna come in and you he will take off from there.. For now though, what is your entire current roster? The Snuka / Slaughter World TItle feud sounds like something those crowds would come see and they could have some really good matches as both were rocking in 83...curious who else is there you could insert in a good IC feud with Pedro? Can you put a list of your current roster?
  12. Fuck that Parv, I LOVE the chances you are taking, and if Vince is smart, and gives it some time, your stuff is gonna grow from here and with decent booking along the way, it can be good...just hope Vince sees it the same way...think of this as late 1997 WWF...putting the pieces in place to grow over 97 and into booming...most didnt like 97 in WWF (look at their ratings, no matter what people say today about how "great" it was, not many were watching outside their WWF loyalists), but look what happened when they got out of their comfort zone. I know its 1983 and not 1997, but the same thing applies...taking a chance...when one of these things gets over, things will go from there...have fun with it...You have completely motivated me to do this game and take some chances with 2000 WCW... In terms of the booking, doing the other "safe" things (Bruno over, Main Event title match last) are things that would be easy booking decisions and the game wouldnt be any fun at that point, and would just be doing the same thing others have done. Would it work? Maybe, but in they end, you've already seen those results in reality. I like the chances you are taking and the risks, especially taking new guys and putting them up and seeing where it goes...are you gonna get fired? Quite possibly, but at least you know you tried...If given time, this COULD work...stay with the plan..STAY THE COURSE..if you get fired...take your guys somewhere else and keep building...

  14. Part 1 was a great show...I loved the hell out of it.. The Santana / Steamer vs. Dream Team match is on one of the Best of WWF tapes from way back when... I dont think the US Express / Dream Team title change in full is on any Colliseum vids, just the end on the History of the Tag Titles.. Really lookin forward to part 2... Keep up the great work...and Marty, your match reviews are spot fuckin on and well done. Studd and Bundy should have had a long feud with the Bulldogs over Summer / Fall of 86..I think they should have been champs, but that means more switching around when means devaluing the straps.... But have them really in a heated feud with the Bulldogs (maybe a title match on SNME) instead of the one match they had against each other... Studd and Bundy would have been a great team into late 86 and into 87, but it wasnt to be.
  15. How's the financials Parv? Big decision for Mania upcoming....even though Bruno isn't long for the ring, will the people still be pumped and excited to see him win the title? You could Brock Lesnar him with the title and only wrestle sparingly with it... Outside that, a Ted win at Mania could be bad...would Bruno be willing to do it and would the crowds accept it? Could it cost you your job?? Excited to see what comes next..
  16. That is not the finished product that came out...its like an extended version with all the extras and full information...I LOVE it... But for the editing and what not that some mentioned, this is not the version that came out on the original DVD...at least not in this order of cuts as well with long black breaks in between. Maybe a director's Cut? Or something like that? EDIT - NEvermind, The first part was additional I guess...started right about 20 min in...forget I said the above..
  17. I LOVED this show.....all the details were amazing....very interesting stuff.... really really lookin forward to the next installments.... Really Really interesting to see how immediately when people knew about Hall and Nash (after the first couple shows), the ratings started up quickly and WWF starting fading fast.. Really looking forward to hearing the weekly's from July 96 - April 98 and the backstage stuff with both companies as I want to know: 1. How bad it got for the WWF financially and with their talent? 2. When did WCW start to rest on their laurels and stop working so hard to stay ahead? 3. Did the WWF come close to closing down completely? 4. Why, as good as 1997 WWF was, did their ratings not move much, or make noise until late in the year / early 98? 5. At what point did WCW really start to panic and notice the WWF was coming or were they complacent the whole time, even during the WWF resurgence, due to getting WAY overconfident LOTS more I'd like to hear..
  18. I cant lie, I look more forward to this each day for an update than I do weekly RAW information!! Keep it up Parv...I am strongly considering starting a WCW 2000 game on my own.. Mad props for posting it on here as well with you comings and goings....fantastic stuff.... As for this: If you put the title on Andre and then have Ted win it with help from the Elite, screwing Andre..man, that could be big business...steal the haircutting angle (hadnt happened yet in 83) so Vince can tell "The Elite is raping Andre of his dignity". Hell, you coudl do that with Bruno or Andre losing the title, but with Andre its got a whole nother level of "WOW, that was shocking" Savage winning the big title in 83 with such a small build I think is gonna turn fans away as he was a nobody in 83, especially in the NE.. IC Title - I like Sarge taking that title a LOT... Graham and Ventura is awesome Tag Titles - Maybe have Tully and Arn get a non title win over the Patrol on TV and see how its recieved...then decide what to do at Mania.... On a side note, I love that you are teaching Backlund to not just walk away when in such a high position or get made to look completely destroyed...good thing for others to see on the roster!
  19. Seriously, what is his appeal...what has he done since he left WWF and did things as a main guy that has worked? And I liked NWO 2000 before all the injuries!! In all seriousness, what is his appeal? What makes people say "Hey, I know how to make things better, lets get Russo...." Is it cause of his ONE good run in WWF that was part of a group and had someone with a TON of power keeping him honest (Vince?)
  20. For me, MORE detail means better show, by all means do three month chunks….I love the minutia!!
  21. Can someone, ANYONE, explain to me why Russo keeps getting shots with TNA? What does Dixie and co see in him? He's done NOTHING on his own (the WWF Stuff he was with others and worked with Vince, Kevin Kelly's interviews on Place To Be Podcast go over it), and trashed what he's touched…WHY does he keep getting chances? What are they thinking over there? I am actually really interested in what the fuck they are thinking each time he gets the call or is the "Secret Booker" or whatever…makes no sense, almost like they don't want TNA to succeed...
  22. Really Really psyched for this....you guys should do all these one after the other...
  23. I have a feeling WWE will get Amman to drop it as Punk could open a MUCH bigger can of worms on backstage medical stuff and how wrestlers are treated by doctors and how WWE does or doesnt do what's best for each medical issue... I know its a personal lawsuit, but Punk could make WWE look really bad here
  24. Cena goes heel is closest thing, but that wouldnt be nearly as shocking... Bryan winning the title - shocking because WWE might get something right!!
  25. Parv, I like this angle a LOT....but its 1983, you are gonna need some known NE guys to show up and get into the main events ASAP...then use them to work with the Elite and go from there.. Personally, I LOVE where you are going...but if those guys (ELITE) showed up in WWF in 1983, I dont know how they would have panned out as "THE" group...outside Ted...
