  1. OMG vs Brad Armstrong 3/22/85 This was a lot of fun. We open up with some cat and mouse. Brad goes to work on the arm for a bit. This was fine. Gang cuts him off and uses his weight as an advantage. Armstrong shows decent fire fighting underneath. He tries a comeback and does an atomic drop. The Gang's weight is too much and Brad leg gives out. This pretty much leads finish. This was a lot of fun .
  2. My guess May 3 1985.
  3. Doc/Dibiase vs Guerreros 7/26/85 This is a NO DQ cage match. We get an early shine. A smart cut off sets up the heat, but it's just a tease. We are still in a shine. The Guerrreos are really cutting edge. Doc eye rakes Chavo and now we get a heat. Dibiase puts Chavo into the cage. The heels are really working the cut. Comeback. Chavo has the loaded glove. Al Madril turn.s heel. 3 1/4*
  4. Ted Dibiase vs Bob Sweetan 10/11/85 This is a taped fist match and it made the Mid-South set. This was just a kick ass double juice brawl. It was hate filled with both guys trying to bust each other open. Once they did they went to town on the cut. Good stuff. 3 1/2*
  5. Thanks a lot. This episode felt much better.
  6. Plus they expect a Roku App finished in less than a week too.

I mentioned it became a title match during Galloway's promo.
  8. On twitter Tharpe announced the David Von Erich and Bruser Brody matches are coming soon. It look like it's coming from this card. Hopefully the other Harley/Andre match shows up, along with Boc and Dusty. Boesch @ Houston, TX - Sam Houston Coliseum - October 13, 1978 Coconut Willie & Cowboy Lang d. 9. That sucks.
  10. Nightmare vs Dick Murdoch 10/11/85 This is a loaded card. It's a card with some great punches. This match wasn't on the Mid-South set. What an amazing rope running spot with the pay off being a Dick Murdoch punch.Dick going after the mask. A flying head scissors by Dick, and he goes after the mask. Dick twists the mask around and Murdoch tees off on him with great punches. Atomic drop on the chair , eat that Nightmare. Another great punch that pops the crowd thanks to the ref. Dick after the mask. This has been a great shine sequence. Nightmare putting the boots to Murdoch. Murdoch gets Gilbert's cain and blasts Nightmre for the win.3 1/4*

Galloway vs Thatcher This is non title. Thatcher is a top 10, maybe top 5 guy. Galloway is a top 25-50 guy. Thatcher challenges for the title and Galloways says yes in a long about way.I'm really digging this. Galloway going after Thatcher's head which ties into his ear injury that he missed 5 weeks. The under the ring thing was unique. Thatcher selling the arm big. Galloway goes after it. Now Thatcher is doing payback spots and going after Galloway's arm. These guys had their work cut out getting the crowd back after the last match. They've gotten it slowly but surely. Great finish. These guys had a strong match. Some Thatcher detractors say he's one dimensional and his opponent has to work his style. Whatever, I'll say they did a great job incorporating both guys styles and had a real compelling match. 4* Overall I thought this was a really good show and gets a thumbs up for me. The last 3 matches were really awesome.

Sabre Jr. vs Roddy Strong I'm really stoked here. They had a MOTYC in PWG earlier this year. Some mat work to start. The mat work is real dynamic. The 1st part was Sabre Jr. on the mat. Now Strong begins to enforce his style. Sabre Jr. attempts a Breaks Special, but Roddy escapes the attempt. Roddy begins to punish the back. Strong swings Sabre Jr . into a metal post. Strong all over him. Strong makes Zack pay for a rope break. Sabre J rmaking a comeback. Sabre jr just destroyed Strong's elbow, and he did it again. Sabre jr going after the arm. Strong battles back. I loved how Strong's arm was fucked so he's using knee strikes. Loving Zack going after the arm at all angles. These guys have been in a war. That was one hell of a match. It went a little long. I thought we were going to get a 30 minute draw until the finish. 4 1/4*

Chris Hero vs Trevor Lee These guys had a killer match last Evolve show they faced. Will's twin is taking photo's tonight. Hero is so much fun to watch. Hero's has a variety of strikes and they're all nasty. Finally, Hero makes a mistake and Lee lights him up with kicks. Great Superman punch by Lee. Lee walked right into a roaring elbow. Lee with that cross body belly to belly. Good match. I loved the finality, and nastiness of the finish. It lacked the dynamic of the last match between the 2. 3 1/2* Hero making a run at my top 5 wrestlers in the world.
  15. I was getting ready to needle you about watching this match when I said it sucked but I apparently forgot to write that when I was going on about Butch Reed needing new tights.I also realized upon going back a few pages that I missed your review of that 6 man elimination tag match that I wish I hadn't spent 25 minutes on. I really should watch some of the Gino Hernandez matches but I don't want to like him than I already do because it will just make me more bitter about how I couldn't get him in the fantasy draft to give an actual ending to the Gino/Tully Southwest feud. Mr. Southwest better watch some Gino.

Andrew Everett vs Tony Niese I missed the Baretta match while cooking dinner. Everett selling his knee better than Kushida did at Dominion. Niese trying to get heat. 3 matches in a row of SoCal Val on the outside is too much. Take JJ Dillon's advice sometimes less is more. We get a this is awesome chant. The crowd is setting the bar low. Still a pretty solid bout. Both guys lack a charisma. 2 1/2*

Premier Athlete Brand promo. leads to Caleb Konley vs Gary Jay Gary is a guy I've seen in Austin wrestle a lot. He's a better heel than face. I liked seeing Konley work the hand
  18. Butch Reed vs Kamala 7/12/85 Reed is one of Kamala's all time best opponents. Reed is wearing war paint in this. We start with Reed kicking Kamala's ass all the way outside the ring. Back in Kamala takes over . He uses nerve holds zzzzzz, but it makes sense for the character. Reed is working hard underneath. Still for the most part the match misses the mark. 1 1/2*

It's tonght. Davey Richards got hurt so the card really got better from my pov. Play at home if you're watching.
  20. Butch Reed vs Dutch Mantell 7/26/85 I like Mantell mocking Reed early. Dutch is a master of that Memphis psychology and it's on full display here. Watching Dutch get heat on Butch is a thing of beauty. It's simple, but real effective. Watching Dutch work the crowd. Looking like Butch was making a comeback, but Dutch cut him off. Now Butch makes a comeback and we go right to a finish. This had no sound. Man this started out great. If we would have built to a finish. 2 3/4*
  21. Bandillero on a Pole Match: Chavo & Hector Guerrero d. Ted DiBiase & Steve Williams 7/12/85 The stip hurt the match. It hurt the flow and structure of the bout. 2*
  22. Parv, the set had the dates wrong. The one listed as 7/12/85 on the set should be 7/26/85. So in reality 7/12/85 is the one never seen before.
  23. Also I guess because this flys under the radar original music is in tact it seems.
  24. Fantastics vs Eddie Gilbert/Jerry Grey 7/26/85 Houston loves them some Fantastics. Grey is a guy I haven't seen that much of. I've seen him as a jobber in JCP and seemed pretty good. We get a pretty fun Fantastics shine. Gilbert's sell job of a Fulton punch was over the top greatness. The Fantastics are great at targeting Gilbert's arm. Gilbert is great at putting little wrinkles in things. Grey trips up Fulton to set up the heat. The crowd immediately gets behind the Fatastics. The heat segment was pretty solid. Hot tag goes right into a flash pin. This was good stuff, and a real fun Gilbert performance. 2 3/4* Not sure if this has been in circulation before. This was the card.
