  2. I got a chuckle out of it.
  3. He told me to shut up. LOL
  4. I've felt he has grown a lot in the last year or 2.
  5. I went to Inspire Pro wrestling and they really put on a great show. They mixed up a lot of good wrestling, entertaining things, and really strong angles. The real standout matches were. 1.SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH: “One Man” Mike Dell, “Untouchable” Alex Reigns & Moonshine Mantell vs. The World Class Syndicate (“The Texas Lion” Carson & “The Pride Of Professional Wrestling” Barrett Brown) & A Mystery Partner A super heated all action brawl that morphed into a Soouthern tag that saw 2 heat segments. Then morphed back into a brawl. My match of the night. 2.Ray “Death” Rowe vs. “The American Psycho” Lance Hoyt Straight up hoss battle. This was fantastic. Archer is a tremendous heel, and knows how to work the crowd. He told me to shut up a couple times. Rowe has an bad ass aura about him. JoJo Bravo vs. Teddy Hart vs. vs. El Mariachi Loco This was your crack cocaine match. Teddy does all the little things right as being a polished worker. All of his stuff looked like it would kill you. INSPIRE PRO CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: “Dirty” Andy Dalton © vs. “Just” Steve’O Reno A very entertaining main event. Dalton is a heel's heel. O'Reno has a ton of potential. “Bleeding Heart” Davey Vega vs. “Kid Gorgeous” Donovan Danhausen This was a solid opener. They had a couple of timing issues . Danhausen has been working about 7 months and is a guy with great upside. Vega is a solid hand in the ring. We saw a great angle with the returning Matthew Palmer The 2nd part of the angle not so much. . Another great angle and a shocker to the crowd was the returning Sammy Guerrva. I also loved Keith Lee's promo . He cut a killer one and had a great staredown with Scott Summers. I missed 2 matches charging my phone and other things.
  6. He worked a straight match. He had a little more stuffing in his belly and his tights said Jimmy Rave approved so I don't know?
  7. I watched the Styles vs Rave match that Dylan went to see and was impressed with. He's pimped it on his twitter. AJ Styles vs Jimmy Rave 5/8/15 This had an old school feel to it. Early in the match we see Styles working the arm. As a counterpoint to that Rave focused on the neck. This gave the bout depth and actually allowed it a base to work off of. A great old school touch that I could easily see Flair do in 85 was AJ slipped on part of the mat. He gathered his senses then yelled at the ref are you going to clean it up or do you expect me to wrestle around it. Rave was super focused on the neck. He nails Styles with this real nice looking clotheslines. His submission attempts were all directed on the neck area. When Styles and Rave exchanged strikes they looked stiff as hell and meant something. Actually the work here was really layered and built and built upon something.Even the big moves weren't exposed so when they did do them they got over huge and were very memorable. For example Styles rolling rana. I liked Rave's bump that he dinged his leg that allowed Styles to go after the leg . Using his calf slicer submission. Which other than here the announcing was tremendous. At 1st the Calf Slicer stuff timing seemed off, but they did eventually get it. I liked the build to the finish that saw Rave get some near submissions. He goes for a top rope rana that Styles counters into a top rope Styles Clash for a win. The match was paced so everything could digest and get over. Everything the wrestlers did made sense in the story being told. I actually thought Rave was right at Styles level which was the story they told too. The announcers filled in great details about their history with one another that added a lot to the story. My only real complaint was Rave's lack of facials. It came across very Dory like. If Rave gave us more facially the struggle would have gotten over more. 4* You can get the match here. Watch @AJStylesOrg vs @TheJimmyRave on VOD for as low as $1.99 by using Promo Code STYLES15 - https://vimeo.com/ondemand/ajstylesvsjimmyrave …
  8. The VOD is still messed up from the ppv. ROH is still promoting the VOD. This makes them look bush league. They need to be accountable .
  9. I watched the show through the ROH site and the picture was choppy and the audio was off. The issue still isn't fixed as they have the replay up.
  10. Fun bout. The crowd so wants the Addiction to lose.
  11. Spotfest, hell yeah. Did I like it. Yes I did. It's insane not to blow spots in something like this.
  12. Pretty sloppy in spots. Moose doing a Silver King dive is nuts. He shouldn't be doing it though. Elgin is a disgrace.
  13. The show needs a boost in the arm.
  14. I wonder if Strong can pull off a good match here.
  15. Sorry bud I'm having a shit day at work and wouldn't have even noticed if it wasn't brought to my attention. Young Bucks still rule.
  16. I use star ratings as a reference guide for my notes. They are fluid. They aren't meant to be the be all end all. As far as Will pigeonholing what I like and don't like whatever. I think I like good work around working the cut. I'm guessing it's because he loves Lawler vs me who likes Lawler. As for flippy shit I can get behind a good one, if it.'s a match for the sake of flips not so much. If he's talking about the Young Bucks vs ReDragon from Vegas. Everyone on the reaction show thought it was the best match on the show except him. I find it odd I'm feeling like I have to defend myself in a thread I never posted in the 1st place. If I'm reading into it too much my bad Also the Sasha /Becky match argument is stale . I get it you think I undervalued it because they're girls. If I did or didn't I don't care.
  17. Bix I see your point. Steamboat though strikes me more of the exception not the rule. I think their are plenty of wrestlers that cared, but plenty that looked at it as just a paycheck. Steamboat is a guy who cared. He also was an agent and worked in development. I'm sure he's analyzed his own work and explained why he did what he did to whoever in developmental at the time. Steamboat has a long history of caring about the work. It's been documented he watched boxing to see how people reacted to being hit. For every Steamboat their is an Ultimate Warrior. Like any profession you'll have people who take pride in their work, others do as little as possible and just slide by, others view it as a paycheck. Plus I think a lot of the wrestlers in the 80's were more concerned with how can I make more money.A lot of wrestlers were sucked into the fantasy of wrestling. Steamboat strikes me as a guy who creatively thought the booker contolled his money intake. So he focused on something the booker couldn't control , his work ethic and pride.

  19. This is where I am on Silas. I feel he's a solid worker, with decent charisma. Besides Elgin on the ROH roster I can't see who anyone Young would be better in their spot.

  21. I'm watching the ROH 5/30/15 from Oklahoma City Caprice Coleman vs Dirty Andy Dalton Dalton is a really good worker who works the Texas Indy scene. He had a really good match at the Inspire Pro Show with ACH. I hope he gets a spot in ROH. He's a guy who can have a good match with anyone. He's a really good heel who generates heat. I think he'd bring a different element to the roster. Here they have a real solid opener. Nothing off the charts, but good solid wrestling. 2 1/2* M. Briscoe vs Tavern vs Rowe I thought this was a fun bout. They did a great job of getting Rowe over as a killer. Taven was good bumping and flying around. Briscoe was his usual awesome self. A real fun sprint. 2 1/2* Silas Young vs Romantic Touch This has some fun comedy going for it. Solid match overall. 1 3/4* Hanson vs Whitmer vs Bennett This had basic psychology of the heels working together to get heat on Hanson. They finally turn on one another. It allows a Hanson comeback. 2 1/2* Roderick Strong vs Will Ferrara This is a fun hierarchy match. Ferrara is awesome at the start. Mixing in some strikes, a Code Red, and a big dive. Strong takes control with some nice work on the back. Strong's Octopus looking back breaker was nasty looking. Ferrara gets some seperation and knocks Strong to the floor and follows uo with a tope' into a spinning DDT on the floor. Some more offense from Ferrara. Ferrara's back is still hurting from the work done on it. Strong back on top. A great nearfall by Ferrara. Another Code Red for a nearfall. A super fun match. 3 1/4* Dalton Castle vs. Michael Elgin I'm pretty sure most people know my disdain for Elgin. Easily in my top 3 most overrated this year. Castle in my top 3 most charismatic. I like what Elgin does to start. This is a real spirited Elgin performance. Castle makes a fun comeback with some nice high spots. I'm hating the no sell German spots Fuck you Elgin for those.. 2 1/2* ACH vs Adam Cole Dueling chants to start. ACH shine early. Cole with a funny swerve to the crowd Cole puts the boots to ACH. Cole using a headlock to ground ACH. ACH on the comeback trail. Some back and forth action. A lot of fun action The Figure 4 was a good spot that added to the drama. They build to a super fun match. 3 1/2* Jay Lethal vs Mark Briscoe Lethal stalls out to start. Briscoe and Lethal fighting on the floor.Briscoe in control in the ring. Lethal cuts him off and works a basic shine sequence. I love lethal grabbing the guy dressed as Randy Savage and stomping on his hat. I thought the rear naked choke was a great counter to the Lethal Injection. I enjoyed the finish. 2 3/4* Jay Briscoe vs Hanson A real fight feel off the bat with punches . Both guys teeing off at each other. I'm loving how the violence is escalating. Hanson with some nasty cross forearms across the face. Jay fights back and delivers a Yakuza kick to take control. Hanson clubberin Jay. Side suplex by Hanson.Every time Jay mounts a comeback , Hanson cuts him off. Hanson goes for a tope' and Jay face plants him. Jay does a flip dive onto Hanson. While the guys are selling Lethal,Martini,M. Briscoe, and Rowe come out. Giving this a total World Wide Wrestling feel in 86. Nice neck breaker by Jay which is a nice set up to the Jay Driller.Hanson misses the corner senton. Jay delivers a Saito Suplex, and a DVDR to further hurt the neck. Hanson goes for a moonsault and misses followed by a J-Driller that gets 2. Hanson with an inverted pile driver for 2. Jay gives it a finality in a great match. It built and built and had a great match. 3 1/2* Overall the show had a lot of good wrestling. It might have been my least favorite one I've seen this year from the company. Still the show had 3 matches over 3*, and a few matches close to it. That shows what a great run the company is having in the ring.
  22. Parv will edit out my Valentine vs Dibiase debate challenge to him, but keeps Johnny's burp in.
  23. Gotta say guys with all the arguing and shit talking it's just like the old NWA meetings. Except they'd be doing it behind each others backs.
  24. Thank you for not assassinating Owen's character by ending with a handshake.
  25. Calling it now. Heel Cena vs Brock at Mania.
